@@TinyWiener You cant do that in game for some reason, you can set it in battle.net client but once you login to wow you are online for all your battle.net friends and all wow friends. There is no way to play in "invisible mode" or something like that.
Tomas Sejkora You are simply wrong. If you set yourself as offline, then your friends will see you as offline. If you’re in the same guild though, then they can see you online.
Servers not crashing..... yea you can remove that from the list.

Wall jumping into the caverns of time was so much fun. u could walk around the empty caverns and admire the design. whats the hut for? whats the ship for? who knows!
you can still get into caverns of time come classic wow release as its doable easily on the beta atm.

@@DiamondsOf2 Haha yea, I used to wall climb into Hyjal all the time in Vanilla and see what I could find. Same with going underneath Ogrimmar, the airport up above the mountains near Ironforge, etc, just whatever I could find in the world I loved exploring back then :D

Things i will miss when full Classic Wow releases.
1:Thottbot ( this is obvious)
2: 240p PvP montages
3: People like Lerroy, the Raid Leader in the Onyxia wipe and Rag wipe ( same person whos the leader of the guild Wipe Club)
4:The feeling of a new game (Not knowing where is the location of all the things, which talents to choose, cuz now you have everything).
5: The old style of machinimas ( like Illegal Danish, 25th Line and more)
number 4 is the only thing that can never be recreated.
New things are new, and they will never be new again.

11: Asmon's hair
0:34 - The reason Power Word: Shield was changed to be only usable on party members was because before that, it was castable on anyone outside of your party or raid, just like any other heal. Priests used this to grief other priests by casting rank one shields on each other, which would give them the full duration of the Weakened Soul debuff and prevent them from casting higher ranks of Shield on themselves. Used at the right time, a priest doing this could get other priests killed since they couldn't prevent incoming damage.
Wallwalking was a huge reason I checked out classic for some reason and the fact it wasn't there hit me sorely
Number 7 is a good reminder that balance in the game and the reaction the community has had with blizz has always been exactly the same
People have complained about the game since day 1 and never stopped lol
People say that the franchise is dead since WC3 and they won't stop saying it.
I don't know why people act like the game never had major flaws.

“Corrupted blood incident.” Remembers a time when the whole town died and I didn’t know why. Holy shit thank you.
One thing everybody should know about is Reckoning for paladins. When the player gets hit by a critical, it applies a hidden buff that will add an extra attack to your next swing. It has no timer. It stacks and has no limit. Sitting down guarantees a crit from enemies. So a paladin can sit down in front of some weak mob, build up 20 or however many reckoning stacks, then walk up to Mr Bad Luck Horde and delete him in one swing. It is absolutely hilarious, and in my opinion clever, but blizzard said you won't obtain reckoning stacks while sitting in Classic. I assume the same applies to shamans' eye of the storm but nobody cares about that shit.
Shamans: "We're so pissed off about what Blizz did to our class, so we told our CM to get hit by a bus!"
Hunters: "You guys have CMs?"
True fact: no one in the developer or CM team played a hunter in Classic. Caydiem was the closest thing we had, and she was just "I don't see any issues with my 32 hunter" in 1.6 or so.

I almost deleted my shammy when they nerfed windfury. One shotting almost any class in WG was op but oh so so much fun
It seemed like no one cared that shamans were always chopped and screwed until MoP when everyone complained about them. Of course they got nerfed back to the stone age in WoD. The one shot windfury and the 2 shot chain lightning was the most fun in wow outside of the 2 shot penance disc priest

Slow weapons still reign supreme over fast weapons for melee. The normalization only caused AP to increase the damage of an ability that deals weapon damage like Mortal Strike by a fixed amount instead of just using your swing damage.
Wall-walking was such a good time back in the day. I remember being one of the few people on my server who knew how to get under sw for a while. We would wall walk up the corner of the terrain and Castle right outside the Griffin master
I'm not so broken up about it being missing from classic though, because the air of mystery regarding what is in hyjal, uldum, etc is completely gone now. We've all explored it in fully developed content, and we've all seen the UA-cam videos about how it used to look in comparison
That being said it would be cool to have old hyjal open up in some manner because the giant skeleton was badass and made the game feel like more of a direct sequel to Warcraft 3
Power Word: Shield also used to prevent fall damage. This got altered in a later vanilla patch.
Wall climbing was imo one of classic wows greatest fucking things. So much you could explore when bored.

no, its not entirely true.
attackspeed normalization only affects your attack power, not the base damage of your weapon -> slow weapons are still better than fast ones, just not as much as they used to.

You go for slow weapons while leveling because you’re not going to hit shit has a dual wielding fury. Once you start getting geared you’re going to want your fast weapons
Well, the actual reason for Warriors is to hamstring and kite mobs. Mob attack speed is around 2sec or faster. So you hit and kite until next swing, this way kind of lowering the mobs attack speed to that of your weapon taking less dmg during leveling.
Not all attacks were normalized, either. Only some. :)
In my opinion, WoW classic should take the old school runescape approach when it comes to new content, any proposed changes should be put to the player base and must reach a vote of 75% or more in order to be implemented.

Helllllll no. The player base is dumb af. They "voted" for for all the things that slowly killed the game over time. If you go read the forums you'll see them crying for shit that they complain about now.
That was exactly my thoughts on how the classic should be developed.

And I think devs should be able to accept/not accept the change, BUT if they choze to not accept that will require detailed and wide explanation why.

Missing also: Warriors used to be able to survive falls from ANY height in Defensive Stance, because the fall would only take up to 100% of your health and no more than that. Defensive Stance would reduce that by 90%, so you'd survive with 10% health remaining.
You should do a video on the top things that WILL be in Classic that were NOT on Private Servers, like tauren hitboxes, item drop trading, etc

I loved walljumping, I went everywhere.
There's still some places you'll be able to go without walljumping, but not all places and the ones you can go to will take more time consuming routes.
Front-Stabbing wasn't mainly done via strafing. It was done by standing in the model of the mob you were attacking because it would register you as behind the target. But just like in the video, its probably not gunna be in the game.

I know this is a little off topic but what addons do you use. I saw what looked like a priest macro in your other videos and was wondering what you use for that. I love the videos by the way its really fun to learn about patches you where never there for.
I used levitate to get myself and a friend + a warlock on top of thralls building, then proceeded to summon a whole raid group to take him out. I miss that
You KNOW they will bring back Corrupted Blood. It was one of the most famous events in wow's history, it will absolutely return at least for a little while

@@Makujah_ Famous WoW streamer that doesn't do youtube outside of a personal update like yearly. There's like three people with his permission to post whatever sections of his stream they want on UA-cam, and the rest are just doing it because he doesn't care that much. He's running old content 90% of the time, or giving his opinion on videos/notable posts in the community pretty much the rest. He has the background of an asshole who's played the game since classic, and tons of cutting edges under his belt, along with Grand Marshall and glad achievements in his past, so generally he has an idea of what he's talking about

I remember going to the ironforge airport, it was so wild back then.
Vanilla Alterac Valley. Would buy classic WoW if we got old school 48+ hour AV’s. Those were epic that no other game can replicate.
That will be the game-breaker for many BG-bunnies, if the comments across the warcraft fora are to be believed.
Wall jumping was so much fun, spent hours doing it while waiting for raids to start. :D

I'm so disappointed the old epic mounts won't available. That's the main reason I wanted to play classic was to be able to obtain one before they remove them
The worst part is the reason they gave us that they don't want us to rush. I am so done with the handholding. Can we please just play the game the way we want to?

Not being able to glitch jump into Mount Hyjal and explore that beautiful unfinished area.
Will they ever add Mount Hyjal and other cut content that didn't make it in Vanilla because of various reasons? Will they finally add the Karazhan Crypt (would-be) raid that was never developed?

Because micro holidays arent designed to disrupt players experience. Maybe it sounds fun now years later to watch video about it. Actually dying constantly ingame and not being able to play normally game that you paid for wasn't a fun experience.

@@alasarcher400 if your argument is just those things disrupt player experiance then why did they make gates of AQ a holiday i dont think anyone enjoyed doing it in vanilla because of the lag and over population. they should take the spirit of the event and then distill that into a micro holiday.
MAybe set up the corrupted blood event just outside ZG and then the debuff only works in STV north/south that way you can still have the capital city like experiance by corrupting booty bay but its not necsecary zone.
for the northrend zombie event have it be something like "remnants of the cult of the damned have gathered all the plague they could find and have unleashed it on the garrisons we left in northrend" so anyone who wants to can go to northrend for a couple days and relive the experiance of plagued grain but instad they are around the northrend settlements. now anyone can level in outlands for a day or 2 or lfg right past that.
I went to the airport by accident by trying to move in a straight line while questing when I played for the very first time as a dwarf.

They should have the corrupt blood incident be a yearly event, like the raid has a special version on the anniversary of the original event and it has a version of the buff that has like a super low version of sticking, but once it's out it's out, it would give people some time to organize quarantine zones and make some type of game of it. Maybe make healers really useful during the event so we could have an actual plague response

God, I forgot we made a quarantine zone when that bug was rife. I think our guild hunkered down in the Forlorn Caverns and let a few of the other top guilds in to literally man both sides for a day or two... Memories...
On point #2 it's been confirmed in the beta that the Paladin's Seal of Command procs are NOT normalized. So for Ret Pallys the slower the better.
You can still wall-jump pretty well. I managed to get under Org in Beta still. Can probably still get behind Dark Portal too.
The PW Shield thing threw me off, I couldn't figure out when I was soloing why I couldn't shield anyone!

Wish I could just go back to BC. I played in vanilla as well, BC was easily the highest point of the game.
But it wasn't
TBC was a disaster. Just the addition of flying destroyed PvP and shrank the world. Coupled with emptying Azeroth, it's still the worst xpac.
@@kasegiyabu5030 The dungeons and raids were some of the best, and the difficulty was still existent.
I feel that I was a little lucky. When the 2nd version of the epic mounts came out, I was excited to check them out. When I saw the epic rams, I was less than impressed with their model, so I kept the original Black Ram. Turned out to be a pretty good decision.

3:38 they recreated the incident in the pre-patch for Wrath of the Lich King. You got an infection that turned you into a Zombie, you could infect NPCs. I remember people complaining that the Battle Masters got killed and people couldn't queue to Arenas. There were several groups of infected players by the city portals.
You could also talk to opposite faction players who got zombified, too. So you'd have zombie raids on both sides coordinating to cause trouble. It was a great event.

It's neither 90 degree would be direct vertical wall , 90% would be a bit under 45 degree

@@Grubiantoll 45 degree slope didn't require wall clipping, 90 degree angles did.
Hiru literally said players could jump up vertical walls to get to places they shouldn't. And still manage to do so today to a much lesser extent.
From 10 - 2 I was like: "Alright, all of these make sense... Weapon speed would've been interesting to tinker with, but ok."
And then with #1... Wall Walking... "Noooooooooooooooo...." - I loved wall walking exploring
Hah the wall walking. I never did that super steep slope like that, but did on other slopes to get around mountains or get mining nodes and such. Keep wondering why it feels different and I cannot get to those nodes in Classic!
Anyone knows if Weapon speed normalization will apply to ranged weapons and hunters? read somewhere that later than 1.8 it was fixed for ranged weapons aswell (think it was 1.10) with a 2.8 speed "normalization".

You can get to the Airfield with just slow fall. Also, wall walking was a bug with Levitate, where you could literally walk up any wall. Wall jumping is whats showcased in the video.
There was the Living Bomb from MC which worked similar to Corrupted Blood. Get Bomb on pet, then put pet away before timer hit. Bring it out in IF auction house and BOOM everyone dies, including the tellers. Must say it was actually really hilarious the first time you saw it. Blizz eventually patched it out.
There were many moments of downtime in vanilla, standing around IF with no real desire to farm you'd go exploring. Maybe you start small and discover that wedging yourself into certain corners lets you hop "up" the corner. Now you've managed to get to the top of the IF bank. I can remember positioning myself in the openings where the gryphons fly, imagine seeing people up there as you flight path out of IF. You've also noticed before that sometimes you seem to "catch a line" on the sheer side of a hill, yet you dont immediately fall. Seems like you can use this to get to unusual places in almost every zone. Now you're hooked.
This is one of the best things that all these youngsters wont get to experience in Classic. A real shame it was so easy to exploit.
I remember the bug where you could walk under the map to get inside Stormwind
wow just starting watching vid and salt already thrown on wound when they made power word shield only usable on party members - i remember loving helping out fellow alliance with shields when they were in trouble xD
im not sure if this was intentional but debuff dropping actually does work in classic, for example sodapoppin had ress sickness on stream one time and it dropped because he had so many debuffs.
What about the bug with Vaelastraz, where if you summoned people into the raid with a warlock summoning stone (I don't know when this was added to the game), the room would bug out after the boss was dead, and keep infinitely spawning adds.
One thing that deserved to be on this list was normalized attack speed of Hunter pets. People used to camp the spawns of The Rake (1.2 attack speed I think?) and Echeyakee (sp? 1.3 attack speed) Because their super fast attack speeds carried over after they were tamed, making hunters a nightmare for casters in PvP. But in I think patch 1.8, they normalized all Hunter pets to have an attack speed of 2.0 once tamed, ending the reign of hunters who went through the effort of finding and taming rare spawn pets like The Rake, or taking somebody's quest mob in The Barrens.

#6 seems to have been added for authenticity, along with wait times lol
#10 is partially happening, with content patching.
#7 is kinda stretching. And Shamans never got their Class Patch.
You were right we didnt have server crashes. Just layer/shard crashes. And eastern kingdom crashes. And 100k queues. Actually its alot like vanilla launch
