In the UK, the dolls look like they are based on a ‘Jester’ - A jester or court jester, was a fool or joker and was a member of the household of a nobleman or a monarch employed to entertain guests during the medieval era 😀 or maybe ‘Punch & Judy’ puppets

I have a cross wall in my house. Many people do. I would have gotten that cross. I paint terra cotta pots. The cost have skyrocketed at Walmart.
