- Ey up piscators, I’m back on the bank, wetting a line. This video was filmed a few days after I got back from my holiday in Shropshire. It was a lovely sunny day and my tackle was still in the car, so I decided to go to my local canal, the Trent & Mersey, at Swakestone. #vintagefishing #theretroangler

You have to be careful lifting out with that greenheart top section. I use a modern 3m telescopic landing net handle so as not to risk stressing the top section. I use a Hardy thames surestrike.
Well spotted on the landing net. It's pretty solid though. I have a Hardy Altex I enjoy using sometimes. Thank you for watching.
Is that the pride stretch?
Yes it is.
@@theretroangler5494 Cheers have just joined the club
@@stevesmith9015 I've just got the canal ticket and I think there are 12 miles of canal you can fish and doesn't get fished that much. See you on the bank!
@@theretroangler5494 I will hopefully try the swarkestone stretch in the next couple of weeks
Stewart tackle box!! Get in. I love mine, love these videos too. Keep up the awesome work.👍
Glad you like them!
