They put you through all that training just so you can sit on your rear 80% of the time.
That's the LT not the commander, but still one badass LT. 10-4!
How far will my power level rise in this training
POWER laughing uncontrollably. inmates stand in line, ask for a pass. Say yes sir no sir, can I go to the yard. Buddy get a clue they have the power. We do what ever the gold tells us to do. Sure I'm bitter, because I didn't figure it out until I retired. Even as a lieutenant I was a dumbass.
Well, I'm fat. Class now I will have problems.
If my 400 nearly 500 lb Uncle in law and 400 lb aunt in law can pass the training and tests ANYBODY CAN.
Where ? Which location?
Are they credited Police Officer's
First, you have to fail your bar exam then you have to fail police training then you get to become a correctional officer
Who tf wants to even attempt to be a cop these days
I mean, they get paid over 100k and work 3-4 days a week
@@perlatapatia4334 don’t forget the free bodily fluids, that you have access to at random points in the day
If you don’t like it congratulations you didn’t have to find the video and comment on it🤷🏾♂️
Haters are gunna hate 😂
Can’t wait to start my training next month I’m pumped 😅
Do you start on the 7th?
how did it go?do you like it?
Haha commenter got cannnned from the academy 😂
It isn’t hard getting into this job. Rather easy! Hardest part is learning to ghost walk.
7 weeks!?! Damn. Ours is 12.
I have a security job that will pay you more.
French Jesus Look up G4S security, at some places they send you to you literally get paid to sit on your phone and occasionally do a certain task
Octane G4S is a joke, most sites pay like 13.00. I’m in, state mass correctional officer start off at 60k
Are CO's considered cops ?
Trollol Police No, they only have authority inside the prison. Outside the prison they're just regular civilians with no police powers.
Mike c i love love love your comment
Been trying to apply for AZDOC but the unable to pass the physical entrance exam any recommendations?
Really is like 4 push up in a minute
10 sit ups in a minute
And a 18 minutes 1 mile
I want to be in corrections by I can’t pass the background
GHOST 17 minutes for the mile run. And second I’ve seen heavy set correction officers. So I call it BS on the physical agility.
jcardenas499 what I was told by a correctional Sargeant is that just pass the entres examen and the academy then get as big as you want
Well, practice at home
@@elsherk8275 Went to COTA in Tucson but was unable to graduate. Would’ve been nice to go to Lewis as a Correctional Officer.
Why do they put a lot of emphasis on the Yuma facility?
Because they are training in Tucson but heading to be in Yuma. I'm from Yuma , currently in Tucson 😂
Good building blocks to be a cop 🤷🏽♀️
Everyones talking about their physical training but what about their written tests ? Are they hard ? Im trying to be prepared
just pass the entrance test for what I was told the academic portion is pretty simple
Trust me academics is the easiest you'll ever take. The whole week prior to a test they give you the answers. I kid you not.
How can l join and work with you people
We're I sign
can I do this if I have asthma?
Shatavia Dallas yes you can. At least in Virginia, one of the female officer has asthma and still an officer in DOC with me.
You just have to pass the physical fitness test, toughest part is 1.5 mile run in 15 minutes if you have asthma.
I love this. I'm there right now Sgt Ames the best class 1073
He was mine almost 2 years ago, ask him about the jarhead in his second class
How long did it take you guys to go from initial day of testing to COTA? and which complex did you apply to? I did initial day of testing two weeks ago and applied for Florence, have so far passed all the tests without issue, waiting on my drug test phone call.
I wanna be a correctional officer but I refuse don't wanna get peppered spray I wanna be involved for sure in the prisons though
you must not want to be one that bad then..
vids tVisa true but I'm gonna force myself to do it anyways with me knowing whats gonna happen I have a habit of just doing things knowing what I'm gonna go through so yah I really do wanna be one I'm 17 and graduating this year class of 2020
@@marionsanders8005 thats good, do what you want in life no matter whats in the way, in the army when something was gonna suck real fuckin bad, we all just said "whatever" and kinda brainlessly did it to get it over with. so when something sucks or you dont wanna do it, just brainlessly get it over with and youll be unstoppable
how many weeks do you stay in that training?

Is it true Arizona CO’s only make around 40k???
Louie T 37k
Not bad for noting having a degree
Work101 Work for the job that you have to do is questionable
Back when I started, you were lucky to make 20k.
What state is this for?
Arizona
Just put in an application!
Congratulations!!
Do you have to be a us citizen to Become a corrections officer?
+connorwebb1234 Yes sir.
+XXXlegandarygam3r can you not be a green card holder?
connorwebb1234 Well, for any job such as Law enforcement and alike you'll most likely need to be a citizen, try going on a police ride along and they can tell you ALL about it.
connorwebb1234 I just looked it up, there are places that allow any immigrant with a high school diploma or GED to become police officers and alike, Hawaii and Chicago for example. I wish you the best of luck in finding your career of choice.
+XXXlegandarygam3r thank you, Iv been looking at the New Orleans police department
Stand 3 feet in front of a man size target and see if you can hit the target with the pistol shots....😂😂😂😂😂
Most fire fights happen within seven feet. The cadets shoot from 25 yards, 15 yards 7 yards, then 3 yards.
What a stupid comment lol. You don't know shit, but at least you're having fun! 😂😂
@@shoosh1313 he's went through the academy... obviously, or he wouldn't know, those are all the ranges you have to shoot to qualify for the shooting portion
@@gabrielroper71 what is the point of your comment?
@@shoosh1313 my bad, thought you were talking to gee tar. I was like "damn, dissing one of the only people who know what they're talking about."😂
Everyone is talking about the training as a joke. The training may seem like a joke but the pay is even more of a joke.
Those pushup don't count
How are you going okay
7 weeks to become a CO, 2 years to become a barber/hairdresser. Nobody else has a problem with this?
No
COTA 211 in the house!
2:12 How the fuck do they aim. Is this serious, point blank #notgivingafuckattitude
idk if you know this but close proximity like indoors they usually only have time to react and rely on their instinct i know a guy in the military and when their in citys where they're confined most times they dont aim they spray and move they usually only aim their gun proper at mid range or longer
What you guys training The supermarkets security guards?
do they really make you take a lie detector test? that's what scares me cause I've think we all made mistakes in our life. I'm spooked. I have never been in trouble with the law but still lol
arizona corrections does not polygraph
Zolomon see I'm in Cali smh
what exactly did they question you on, on the lie detector test??
Just tell the truth, they don't care if you have dirty laundry as long as you're honest about it.
arizona department of corrections does not polygraph.
How do I sign up for this shit
Oooooo female officers on top of men cadets. I wanna join. Must be part of the blue line here everyone in law enforcement sleeps together.
If you think about it it kinda dont matter because if she working at a male prision she gone be on top of him the male prisioner I mean
They pay like shit don't do it.
Also the Union don't care about whites or black people in certain states bc Africans who come over run things
Seven weeks to learn how to use a key 😁
Worst career choice you could ever pick.
Lmao not worth the 14/hour they want to pay .. then again they have extremely low standards
Check out the following UA-cam Video!!! ua-cam.com/video/dyOMuXu2WH0/v-deo.html

Thickness is my weakness!
This country seriously needs police reform. LMAO. This was painfully funny to watch!
Military style training for uniformed officers isn’t anything new. But yes, it is funny seeing prison guards get military style combat training
COTA CLASS 941 👍👍👍 ASPC-YUMA
How long did the process take you. From the day you did your initial testing till the day you went to COTA?
It took me about 7 months it depends I knew a couple off people took the 1 to 1 1-/2 Year
Holy crap that is a long time, how comes? I just met a girl two weeks ago and it took her 1 month to go from initial day of testing to the academy. I am waiting on the phone call to do my drug testing. Took the initial test two weeks ago . I must mention that so far I have passed every single test without any issues or hold backs. I applied for Florence.
In Arizona currently it can be very fast. It took me about 34 days from Initial testing to then be at the academy
Class 361
ouch..
Lmao those weak pushups
:57 THICK
COTA Class 878!!!

Probably gonna get transfer if hired, no french. How is ON?
7 weeks?? 😅 what a set up for failure...
Department of “maintain status quo, correct NOTHING!!!”
I can't wait to join the force uwu
No respect for corrections training offices. Most all training offices where officers that could not cut it working behind the wall with inmates. Which also means those officers are politically connected.
why is this video so fucking loud
been there , done that . go to the feds !
What do you mean go to the feds
Yea what do you mean, feds?
Busters
What a shitty way to make a living.
Did she say “and how to handle a ...legal... weapon” lol
