Yes, but another thing is that they’re very active and the sharper the heel, the worse the stability and since they’re heroes, they need to run around a lot. I’m not doubting that they’d make good blunt force weapons, but so could any another tool and heels could be easily broken in those kinds of fights from all the impact it’s putting on it. Exactly, like, use something similar to Midnight, her outfit is easily rip-able, like no real struggle, so she's concealed, but can easily remove patches if she needs more skin area.
I actually think the bubbly sorta vibe in ochaco's costume made sense because some of the parts were made to press down on different pressure points so she wouldn't be as prone to nausea but I do think they were a bit bulky and impractical especially since ochaco is supposed to be a rescue hero and that could easily limit her from being able to squeeze through smaller spaces so I like how you still kept those parts but toned down the bulkyness

Correction, Mineta is a self-insert based on his *younger* self. Feels bad when you make it seem like it’s his current self. If anything he has more similarities with Deku - but he puts a little of himself into every character. For the character design It might be good to consider our current world (culture, history, society, biology, etc.) and technology (physics, advancements, limits, etc.) while also considering MHA’s world (society, quirks, etc.) and technology (quirks, advancements, limits, etc.) in the character (re) design. I feel like it might be good for Momo to have something like a zipper or Velcro so she can stay protected and use her quirk as needed - but that could take up time for her using her quirk (especially if it’s something bigger). I feel like the cape is a good alternative for this. She can open it up or put it behind her as needed. Oo, or one of those transformative outfits could be neat too - like the ones that go from a skirt or a gown. A nod to her creation quirk in a way. She could have the areas with the most lipids stored be open, but that could be too obvious for enemies? I feel like Uraraka’s new outfit is too bulky, since she normally goes for movement and being light to fit into her quirk better. Having too much on might reduce her stamina. I think a good blend of armor and lightness is good. She could have something that also transforms in a way. I don’t remember if she can close and open her visor or not? I feel like that’s where tensions can happen to begin with, like when a character makes the wrong call or mess-up in a fight. Here is some reasons behind what they went with and what i would've done instead because there are a lot of reasons they did that(this isnt hate its just something dumb i decided to do) : Creati: the chest is the most fatty part of her body so having it exposed makes it more effective. Plus its easier to attack from the front like that. I dont get why they didnt give her pants though, girlyy's legs are exposed with no purpose because she never uses her legs, she used her chest, arms and she woukd use her back if it was exposed. What i would do:keep the chets opening because its literally most practical(even though its kinda icky like you said), add pants and open the back as much as possible. Change the heels into sneakers because there is no reason for that other then "girl must wear heel". Uravity: while a skintight suit is practical and I get that, a padded heavily armored suit is more practical FOR HER. Also face protection is needed What i'd do: make her suit padded like her boots and the end of her arms are but not as much and add a lot more lightweight armor. Add a visor like you did that covers her eyes but is folded together, the visor would have sensors and expand when things move fast towards her in a 10 feet radius, this will also stop her from getting caught off guard because the visor will serve as a warning.
Redesigning the costumes is fine but I just wanna say the Characters did design the costumes themselves, uruaka seems fine honestly. yes momo does have a very revealing one but it kinda has to be do to her quirk, she creates things and it comes out of her body directly from her skin, she needs as much skin showing as possible for her to create things, especially if she makes something really big, mom most definitely designed her costume to cover as much of the necessary stuff as possible while leaving whatever else she could exposed. At least it's not the situation like with the invisible girl, literally just wearing shoes and gloves but again it's like that because of how her quirk works

mirio's costume allows the clothes to literally phase out of being with him, instead of leaving him naked once he stops using his quirk. i'm sure horikoshi could've made a similar explanation for giving momo proper clothes that still let her quirk function properly. like, idk, a costume made out of her skin cells or smth so whatever she makes can phase through the clothes. but he didn't. he affords male characters that level of thought, but purposefully designs the female costumes in ways that he can make sexual jokes about. and this is the same man who admitted he finds mineta funny, and y'know, wrote him into the universe in the first place. (also, like octoinkz said, these characters cannot design anything for themselves, because they aren't real. it's the adult man that created them that designed their costumes.)

Tbh I think Ochaco's original design wasnt that bad, my only complaint about it was that its really form-fitting. But I love your redesign for Momo! Honestly that just feels like something she would wear. Another interesting redesign ive seen is by Lavendertowne. It was pretty cool too!
Her boots were designed to be accurate to the science around her quirk with shock absorbent pading a reinforced spring in the heel as well as several other shock absorbing cushions and any and all designed details that are clunky because they have some kind of use to keep her from get sick her quirk as long as possible also I'm pretty sure her suit was so tight and why she never got it changed was because it would to hard draw her over and over again as well as a reference to a traditional western super hero suit you know tights spandex that made the body for some reason like a Greek statue also Momo's outfit originally had a covered chest but a small bacini bottom with straps and was considered to revealing to be legal and her current design stands out more and honestly just needs something to make it feel less like a fancy swim suit, the shape color and detailing looks fantastic and take it from someone who studies all human body types just so that I could draw the most true to real-life proportions or at least see what's possible to cheat on to were it will look close enough and not one judge me I an 18 🚺 year high functioning autistic who whines up with me having to everyone listen to everyone and experience a need sensory overload every time I walk through the halls without ear buds, have a good day. And maybe do research on the reasons stuff are the way they are before redesigning them and maybe actually think what the actual parts of the design works for what you are with. I'm very sorry, but the design you made actually wouldn't work as well as you think. Sorry for my rant and a good day.

Not hate, just a little of my own opinion of Uruaka’s suit. Yes, it’s skintight, however she did say IN THE ANIME in season one that she hadn’t planned or expected the suit to be form-fitting, and it was the makers of the suit that did that. Also, for heavy pieces of the suit, she’s said before that she can and will float clothes and objects that stay on her to lessen body weight, so she’d probably do the same with those. If floating them was impractical if she needed to focus, as it might be, they could be a very lightweight structure. They have grappling mechanisms inside, so the size isn’t for nothing, and the cords probably aren’t that heavy. As for the heels, idk, but it was probably made to have the huge pieces on the legs, likely also lightweight, to balance out how the suit would look with the grapples on her arms.
3:23 I think it would be a cool and pretty useful thing if she had the goggles or tech on her like maybe over her eye that displays things or tells her things so she doesn’t need to log around a book everywhere and she can have more food on her
If we were to look at comic books (e.g Marvel and D.C), in their live action adaptations and their later video game adaptations (a prime example being Insomniac's Spider-man) their do a great job a modernising their hero suits; making them a lot more realistic and practical/tactical. I personally think they should have gone with that type of clothing in mha.

I think another thing that would be GREAT for Uraraka’s costume is if she has a high-tech grapple to help maneuver in zero gravity AND launch things at her enemies with it
In my opinion Momo’s design does make sense due to her quirk, if she didn’t have the cleavage in her hero costume then it probably would be a lot harder for her to use her quirk. And a zipper probably wouldn’t do much either since during a fight, you probably wouldn’t have much time to be zipping and unzipping your clothes lmao

Though I see the convenience of having the hole in the front as well since it would be a lot easier for smaller objects, so making the hole smaller in the front of her costume and adding one in the back would probably be better with less cleavage in the chest area as well. Though, in terms of anime logic, this is a pretty standard trope for an anime to have. Costumes with impractical flaws, and absolutely useless cleavage for no reason other than fan service is excessively common in anime.
I think those wing things could have a smaller version of airplane engines! Since (afair) she only removes gravity and isn't actually able to move by her own, maybe she could have mini engines to help her be airborne! It's definitely more practical and wouldn't be a mere stylistic choice :) And for Momo, I honestly thought she could've worn a gymnast outfit but with her back showing. Maybe yes, add bags for food for lipid supply! But I think a tiny pocket would suffice for like, a few papers for notes. Maybe her long hair could be like, kind of held down by something on her outfit to cover her back. just some ideas though! I love your redesigns as is :)
Guys, remember that Lemillion's outfit is made with DNA infused fabric. Why can't Momo's also be made like that? It would allow for her vital organs to be protected without affecting her quirk.

Uraraka did actually get her costume redesigned after season 1 so that it wasn't as tight but I agree that the heels make no sense. As for momo google images has some really cool redesigns for her cuz her costume makes absolutely no sense like why is the back completely covered I don't understand.
I think the original suits are still fine with how they are, momo’s is mostly just like that because the space needs to be bigger for bigger objects though I do think the creator was just making it inappropriate and that’s seen through his self insert mineta which I found a shock when he openly said it in the manga but anyways it could have done with change but Uraraka’s has a reason for the heaviness with the force of gravity causing her nausea I think the heaviness help to reduce the sickness though I agree that she could have gotten it a lot less tight as she did state she didn’t want it so tight, i don’t know why it wasn’t changed when she had the option to get it redone but I guess in the end she liked it but anyways the creators intentions where far from right with the girls suits. I would also like to point out that Uraraka's quirk is designed by the same creator as Bakugous suit, and the only way you can tell is by the buttons on it- at least if its somewhat robotic it looks much similar to the style of Bakugous in terms of his gloves and grenades :^

never really l enjoyed momo design it was always a bit much and you did quite great with it even if to me it was something i not expecting but it fits them Uraraka was quite surprising was definitely was not expecting that so much more different then the other heroes suit the only one that comes close is that fast do it looks really nice but good lord it must cost a lot by the way it's made but there really amazing!
I love redesigns but in the anime uraraka says the heaviness of the cuff things don’t matter cause of her quirk and her boots are made to give her a more softer landing apparently the spring heels help with shock absorption also another thing about the cuff things is that later on in the season she has wiring put into there to act as a capture weapon so she has more advantages then just her quick and fighting skill it’s also helps her to do long distance fighting a bit (at least I think it helps with that) and overall a lot of elements from her costume really just helps with her nausea blood pressure and her landing
I love when people do redesigns! Such freedom for creativity. However I have a few critiques and comments that I hope you don’t mind. Ithought Aizawa was a self insert, or at least Aizawa is based off Hori’s insecurities. and Deku is heavily influenced by Hori. I did some research and Mineta is meant to represent the creator when he was younger. Please make sure to get your facts check because not only dose it sound really bad what you said but also it’s spreading misinformation Momo tends to use a canon a lot in the series, so the whole time while watching your redesign I kept thinking “where is she gonna summon her canon?” The clothes would just rip off and she’d be topless, even worse than the canonical of the show. I feel like creating a new hero suit with that in mind would make it a lot better. I think her upper half of the body should stay relatively the same with a few changes, as she needs those skin parts exposed to fight. However I feel like she should almost cover her entire lower half of the body, as she dose not use it at all in the series much. So there is no reason for such exposed legs as she they don’t serve any purpose. The cape ties it all together as it can help conceal her exposed upper body Ochako looks like iida 2.0 that I got them mixed up when typing this. I always always loved her big shoes they looked so cute :( , maybe if they were flat instead of heels and a bit lower they would be ever better. I feel like her head piece should be more of a helmet like only the front of an astronauts (I think that’s canon idk I haven’t seen the show in a while), and overall her outfit should be more astronaut themed than armor. Like nice and puffy but not too bulky so she can still have a lot of flexibility for her moves. The puffy astronaut vibes fits her personality more than knight in shining armor. It's a shame the way the story of MHA is going, I really liked this story but the author made questionable decisions one after another, and now MHA has become one of those animes that you don't remember watching or are made a laughing stock of. I dont get why they didnt give her pants though, girlyy's legs are exposed with no purpose because she never uses her legs, she used her chest, arms and she woukd use her back if it was exposed.
What i would do:keep the chets opening because its literally most practical(even though its kinda icky like you said), add pants and open the back as much as possible. Change the heels into sneakers because there is no reason for that other then "girl must wear heel".
Uravity: while a skintight suit is practical and I get that, a padded heavily armored suit is more practical FOR HER. Also face protection is needed
What i'd do: make her suit padded like her boots and the end of her arms are but not as much and add a lot more lightweight armor. Add a visor like you did that covers her eyes but is folded together, the visor would have sensors and expand when things move fast towards her in a 10 feet radius, this will also stop her from getting caught off guard because the visor will serve as a warning.
Exactly like yea she hasn't lot of fanservice moments but it makes sense though.. she needs to show a lot of skin 🤷♀️

Redesigning the costumes is fine but I just wanna say the Characters did design the costumes themselves, uruaka seems fine honestly. yes momo does have a very revealing one but it kinda has to be do to her quirk, she creates things and it comes out of her body directly from her skin, she needs as much skin showing as possible for her to create things, especially if she makes something really big, mom most definitely designed her costume to cover as much of the necessary stuff as possible while leaving whatever else she could exposed. At least it's not the situation like with the invisible girl, literally just wearing shoes and gloves but again it's like that because of how her quirk works

mirio's costume allows the clothes to literally phase out of being with him, instead of leaving him naked once he stops using his quirk. i'm sure horikoshi could've made a similar explanation for giving momo proper clothes that still let her quirk function properly. like, idk, a costume made out of her skin cells or smth so whatever she makes can phase through the clothes.
but he didn't. he affords male characters that level of thought, but purposefully designs the female costumes in ways that he can make sexual jokes about. and this is the same man who admitted he finds mineta funny, and y'know, wrote him into the universe in the first place.
(also, like octoinkz said, these characters cannot design anything for themselves, because they aren't real. it's the adult man that created them that designed their costumes.)

Also uraraka doesn’t need armour as she’s a martial artist and flouts in the air so she needs to be able to do lots of dynamic movement and armour would get in the way it’s too clunky
Tbh I think Ochaco's original design wasnt that bad, my only complaint about it was that its really form-fitting. But I love your redesign for Momo! Honestly that just feels like something she would wear. Another interesting redesign ive seen is by Lavendertowne. It was pretty cool too!

Her boots were designed to be accurate to the science around her quirk with shock absorbent pading a reinforced spring in the heel as well as several other shock absorbing cushions and any and all designed details that are clunky because they have some kind of use to keep her from get sick her quirk as long as possible also I'm pretty sure her suit was so tight and why she never got it changed was because it would to hard draw her over and over again as well as a reference to a traditional western super hero suit you know tights spandex that made the body for some reason like a Greek statue also Momo's outfit originally had a covered chest but a small bacini bottom with straps and was considered to revealing to be legal and her current design stands out more and honestly just needs something to make it feel less like a fancy swim suit, the shape color and detailing looks fantastic and take it from someone who studies all human body types just so that I could draw the most true to real-life proportions or at least see what's possible to cheat on to were it will look close enough and not one judge me I an 18 🚺 year high functioning autistic who whines up with me having to everyone listen to everyone and experience a need sensory overload every time I walk through the halls without ear buds, have a good day. And maybe do research on the reasons stuff are the way they are before redesigning them and maybe actually think what the actual parts of the design works for what you are with. I'm very sorry, but the design you made actually wouldn't work as well as you think. Sorry for my rant and a good day.

Not hate, just a little of my own opinion of Uruaka’s suit.
Yes, it’s skintight, however she did say IN THE ANIME in season one that she hadn’t planned or expected the suit to be form-fitting, and it was the makers of the suit that did that. Also, for heavy pieces of the suit, she’s said before that she can and will float clothes and objects that stay on her to lessen body weight, so she’d probably do the same with those. If floating them was impractical if she needed to focus, as it might be, they could be a very lightweight structure. They have grappling mechanisms inside, so the size isn’t for nothing, and the cords probably aren’t that heavy. As for the heels, idk, but it was probably made to have the huge pieces on the legs, likely also lightweight, to balance out how the suit would look with the grapples on her arms.
3:23 I think it would be a cool and pretty useful thing if she had the goggles or tech on her like maybe over her eye that displays things or tells her things so she doesn’t need to log around a book everywhere and she can have more food on her

If we were to look at comic books (e.g Marvel and D.C), in their live action adaptations and their later video game adaptations (a prime example being Insomniac's Spider-man) their do a great job a modernising their hero suits; making them a lot more realistic and practical/tactical. I personally think they should have gone with that type of clothing in mha.

In my opinion Momo’s design does make sense due to her quirk, if she didn’t have the cleavage in her hero costume then it probably would be a lot harder for her to use her quirk. And a zipper probably wouldn’t do much either since during a fight, you probably wouldn’t have much time to be zipping and unzipping your clothes lmao

Though I see the convenience of having the hole in the front as well since it would be a lot easier for smaller objects, so making the hole smaller in the front of her costume and adding one in the back would probably be better with less cleavage in the chest area as well.
Though, in terms of anime logic, this is a pretty standard trope for an anime to have. Costumes with impractical flaws, and absolutely useless cleavage for no reason other than fan service is excessively common in anime.
I think those wing things could have a smaller version of airplane engines! Since (afair) she only removes gravity and isn't actually able to move by her own, maybe she could have mini engines to help her be airborne! It's definitely more practical and wouldn't be a mere stylistic choice :)
And for Momo, I honestly thought she could've worn a gymnast outfit but with her back showing. Maybe yes, add bags for food for lipid supply! But I think a tiny pocket would suffice for like, a few papers for notes. Maybe her long hair could be like, kind of held down by something on her outfit to cover her back. just some ideas though! I love your redesigns as is :)

Uraraka did actually get her costume redesigned after season 1 so that it wasn't as tight but I agree that the heels make no sense.
As for momo google images has some really cool redesigns for her cuz her costume makes absolutely no sense like why is the back completely covered I don't understand.

I think the original suits are still fine with how they are, momo’s is mostly just like that because the space needs to be bigger for bigger objects though I do think the creator was just making it inappropriate and that’s seen through his self insert mineta which I found a shock when he openly said it in the manga but anyways it could have done with change but Uraraka’s has a reason for the heaviness with the force of gravity causing her nausea I think the heaviness help to reduce the sickness though I agree that she could have gotten it a lot less tight as she did state she didn’t want it so tight, i don’t know why it wasn’t changed when she had the option to get it redone but I guess in the end she liked it but anyways the creators intentions where far from right with the girls suits. Anyways i love your redesigns and I personally like momo’s better when you changed it than the original because the original was kinda Uggh..

I love redesigns but in the anime uraraka says the heaviness of the cuff things don’t matter cause of her quirk and her boots are made to give her a more softer landing apparently the spring heels help with shock absorption also another thing about the cuff things is that later on in the season she has wiring put into there to act as a capture weapon so she has more advantages then just her quick and fighting skill it’s also helps her to do long distance fighting a bit (at least I think it helps with that) and overall a lot of elements from her costume really just helps with her nausea blood pressure and her landing

I love when people do redesigns! Such freedom for creativity. However I have a few critiques and comments that I hope you don’t mind.
Ithought Aizawa was a self insert, or at least Aizawa is based off Hori’s insecurities. and Deku is heavily influenced by Hori. I did some research and Mineta is meant to represent the creator when he was younger. Please make sure to get your facts check because not only dose it sound really bad what you said but also it’s spreading misinformation
Momo tends to use a canon a lot in the series, so the whole time while watching your redesign I kept thinking “where is she gonna summon her canon?” The clothes would just rip off and she’d be topless, even worse than the canonical of the show. I feel like creating a new hero suit with that in mind would make it a lot better. I think her upper half of the body should stay relatively the same with a few changes, as she needs those skin parts exposed to fight. However I feel like she should almost cover her entire lower half of the body, as she dose not use it at all in the series much. So there is no reason for such exposed legs as she they don’t serve any purpose. The cape ties it all together as it can help conceal her exposed upper body
Ochako looks like iida 2.0 that I got them mixed up when typing this. I always always loved her big shoes they looked so cute :( , maybe if they were flat instead of heels and a bit lower they would be ever better. I feel like her head piece should be more of a helmet like only the front of an astronauts (I think that’s canon idk I haven’t seen the show in a while), and overall her outfit should be more astronaut themed than armor. Like nice and puffy but not too bulky so she can still have a lot of flexibility for her moves. The puffy astronaut vibes fits her personality more than knight in shining armor.

It's a shame the way the story of MHA is going, I really liked this story but the author made questionable decisions one after another, and now MHA has become one of those animes that you don't remember watching or are made a laughing stock of.

And if uraraka had a lot of armor it makes her not as able to move around as easily and the amor is heavy meaning she has to use up a lot more of her strength to use her ability to constantly make herself lighter which is impractical for her quirk and her stamina of being able to move around and just use her quirk in general so I don't think that much armor is practical for urarakas hero suit
Even Midnight the R rated hero is more covered up than momo

Idk if it’s just me but little people get a bad wrap in media, often being portrayed as creepy or weird in some way, and Mineta’s no different there
He’s also there to make Sexual assault, when he does it, seem like a joke, not to mention having a character who does thing be a heroic character

Horokoshi also could have made Momo's hero costume the same way he made Mirio's and by this I mean he could have just made her suit out of fibers of her DNA which would have been an amazing solution because her costume wouldn't be so revealing and could have even been full body and don't even get me started on Hagakure's because her costume is just gloves and shoes which doesn't help at all with protection whereas we could have also made her costume interlaced with her DNA so she would actually have some fucking clothes on

yes heels are impractical during battle but it's not always the case, it depends on the character, like for example the character's fighting style is more on kicks, if that character wore WEDGE HEELS during battle the heels will deal a lot of physical damage to their opponent. But for Momo, it's 100% impractical cuz she ain't kickin anybody

Well for the record in my opinion all the costumes are kinda dumb, like Iida! Like just wear something like wind resistant or somthin and minimal armor like he’s just decreasing his mobility when that’s sussposed to be his main thing considering his quirk. Hagakure’s quirk makes her invisible not invivible. She will die if she tries to fight, literally completely unprotected. Bakugou needs to sweat yet he’s mostly uncovered and also unprotected. And aoyama ducking cape and armor!!! Armor!!!

Yaomomo is such an interesting concept of a character, but of course they had to sexualise the rich fifteen year old girl whose quirk needs her to have bare skin open. of course she couldn’t have time spent into her outfit so that she could have a proper working suit.
Momos hero costume like that so she can use her quirk better, if its not like it is now then she'll have a hard time using her quirk when villains are attacking.

The redesign in my opinion is kind of ugly ngl. I dont think momo of all people would wear something like that and i feel like the suit you gave ochaco was too bulky to work with her quirk but i do understand what you were trying to do. And its cool that you fixed sexualizing teenagers but the design ideas could've been better.
