It’s infuriating how MW3’s campaign cuts off right where it does because literally the original MW2 and MW3 continued. After Ghost and Roach died, you still had like 3 missions ahead of it. In MW3 after Soap died, you had A WHOLE ACT left. So in the new MWIII, when Soap dies (again) and it just cuts off, it really does show that it’s short
I think they wasted there time with mw1 2019 and didn’t make it about anybody and came up with 3 different bad guys and not introduce any main characters

Playing it for the first time actually and am in the middle of the British campaign on hardened. Gotta say, it legitimately surprised me how damn good this game is The campaign is fun, immersive, and the missions are really well designed. Gameplay is also great
putting ghosts above infinite warfare is absolutely mental. IW has some or the best characters (besides the villain) in the entire franchise, meanwhile ghosts has characters that feel like they were written by children. The entire reveal of Logan and Hesh's dad being a Ghost is one of the worst moments in the entire series, Rorke is easily one of the worst villains in the entire franchise (probably even worse than Kotch). Not to mention Ghosts plot and worldbuilding was even worse than IW's.
Vanguard, mw3 2023, bo3, and somewhat mw2 2022. Can't say I was fond of those much. The rest, I absolutely enjoyed. Even the lack of a campaign in bo4, it still managed to show a rather promising idea of what the story could have been like. My personal favourites in no particular order would be WaW, bo1, bo2, and cold war. But still, WWII was fairly neat. IW was really good despite the villain feeling meh, AW was good overall. The original MW trilogy was great, and even MW 2019 holds up excellent for its campaign.
I can agree with a lot of whats in this list I like the fact you give underrated campaigns like WW2, Ghosts and Advanced Warfare some good praise, to me these campaigns are pretty awesome. I strongly disagree with the placement of cod4's campaign as I think that deserves top3. And I laughed so hard when you talked about what you understand from bo3's campaign because it's exactly the same things that I understood, which is nearly nothing. But hey man I enjoyed this video it was a pretty good ranking overall of course people will never agree 100%, at the end of the day a lot of it comes from personal preference. I would surely enjoy more cod ranking videos, like maps and guns would be a great idea. Also leaving a ranking number on the top of the screen would be good to know where the game exactly ranks overall.
Btw if you don’t know the bo3 story: You’re Taylor and you die in the first mission and the rest of the game is your life flashing before your eyes (your life slowly playing out before your eyes) Don’t say a story is bad if you don’t even know what the story is.
My priorities when it comes to campaigns: 1.) GAMEPLAY, you might have the best story, art direction, creativity, and characters of all time but if you have bad gameplay best you getting is C tier bro. 2.) creativity, by creativity I mean new ideas, or unique implementations of old ideas, and in my opinion that's why a lot of sequels fall under their originals, specifically the OG Modern warfare trilogy for me, they barely did anything new with the idea of modern warfare that other movies or other games haven't done. Attack on us soil is a big plus though! That hasn't really happened...but that was also done in red dawn, a movie from the 1980s about Russia invading the US. Honestly I think I just watched too much media around modern conflict before i played the trilogy, that it didn't surprise me. Put on the flip side and turns a creativity I love Black ops 3, in terms of creativity I think it might be my favorite. 3.) Art direction, that's also should count as the writing, or general tone. Yes writing is different from story, an example Black ops 3, the story in Black ops 3 is amazing, but the writing for said story is God awful that it's impossible to realize how good it is. They're different. Honestly this is just a section of the comment where I just praise treyarch, that is all. This and creativity, just sucking off treyarch. 4.) characters, simple enough to understand. I don't need to elaborate. I'm finally going to give points to Modern warfare! Best characters hands down. The goats. Personally I like The vibes of woods and Mason better, but honestly. It's not fair to compare the two, we got three full games with soap and price. Mason and woods only got one and a half games... it's not fair. I think if Mason and woods got the three game treatment, they'd be the best character in Call of duty. But I simply can't do it on principle. 5.) story, what actually happens in the game, the twists, the seen narrative, the message. Essentially all the art direction, but now does it work? For example bo3 I praised it in art direction, now I'm going to completely shit on it. Fundamentally fumbles every moment. These five categories are in order of what i think is most important. And i think it makes sense.
I’m so glad that mw3s campaign is getting love, jt was my game growing up I played it atleast once a week. That game has a special place in my heart. Everything about the campaign was perfect.

As for other lists, I would love to see you rank COD Zombies at some point in the future.
1:27 glad that you pointed that out! SHG has been done so dirty. They completely overhauled WW2’s multiplayer, had a fun zombies modes and have delivered so much content in the seasons of MW 2023
There is 1 game not very many people remember. Cod 2 Big Red One was damn good for the time! It had amazing voice actors from the band of Brothers TV series, and pretty decent character development for your squad. Granted for the time of the PS2 era it was great. Same goes for Cod Finest Hour with it's intro dialogues into missions. Cod 3 was good as well. I understand why he didn't put older Cod's in the list, cause honestly it was much different back then, and call of duty wasn't a main stay name in gaming just yet, so a lot of the older games especially COD 1 on PC kinda where riding off of Medal of Honor, and taking what EA was doing but trying a bigger scale for the time. List wasn't terrible, everyone is going to disagree, but 1 thing is for sure call of duty sadly will never be the same, and it shows. I haven't fully played a call of duty campaign let alone multiplayer since Black Ops 2. Let that sink in.
I’ve been going through every campaign the last couple months, so there’s no nostalgia for me (with exception to black ops II) putting World at War & COD4 as low as they are, especially below MW3 is insane.

I think you missed the point of the story of IW. The story is all about coming to the realization when leading soldiers, your job isnt to bring them home, its to complete the mission at all costs.
I only play CoD for the Campaigns, I love the B-Movie bombastic moments, so this list is really interesting to me. That said, for the reason I don't touch Multiplayer I always wait until the games have at least a 60% discount, because I will be playing less than a third of the product, so I'm not paying full price. I love it when there are Action Movies references in the games, some scenes are played almost frame by frame, but would only be noticed by someone who saw the movie in question... Wrong. Black Ops 4 doesn’t have a campaign and therefore is the worst. Just because there is a story doesn’t mean it’s a campaign. Zombies has a story, I wouldn’t consider that a campaign.

i liked reboot mw2 because each mission felt and played different and it would never feel like doing the same thing over and over again though the plot is weak and final mission is ass
Overall, i think this is a pretty good list and i see eye to eye for most rankings. However, i do have a few gripes. For me, ghosts campaign did a lot of things well, but the writing and storyline is just so abysmal, unimmersive, and arbitrary. For me, it goes middle row if not bottom because I there are so many points in the campaign where all I can say is "yea okay" and trudge on when any of the walker brothers/rorke/elias explain their reasoning for certain things. I would have also put cod4's a little bit higher, but i can understand its middle of the row ranking because it can get pretty stale at points (I enjoy older treyarch's approach to campaigns where your character is a tad bit less john wick action hero-like). That being said, I would have also put cold wars a little bit higher but man in my eyes it fell flat for what it could have been. There were so many tension building moments like being undercover in the lubyanka building but so many missions just ended up exploding into action sequences where they shouldnt have been. I dont want to fight an all out war escaping the headquarters of the KGB (theres no fucking way the entire soviet bloc doesnt go defcon and the protagonists escape), but sneaking inside a soviet constructed american town/training ground where you then have to bust your way out? Badass. I personally enjoyed the cool little CIA mission garage and the puzzle you had to solve because it made it more immersive. My personal favorite campaign is BO1's, and waw and bo2 are close seconds. I could see how BO1/2 could swing either way, just what the player prefers. Again, great ranking and I have to admit, I am a little bias towards Reznov. Dragovich, Kravchenko, Steiner, these "men" must die. RIP Sergei
MWII really had all the potential and IW ruined it so bad. I don’t even begrudge SHG for MWIII. They at least tried/try to make MP and MWZ good. It’s sad that SHG is better than IW just because IW wants to be awful. The helicopter into Chicago at the end is one of the baddest intros to a level mission ever. I live in Wisconsin, and they really nailed that part. Then it just falls apart with no pacing after that. IW should not be allowed to make COD anymore.
How bo2 can be first ? New character except menendez are forgettable, there is cool moment but no iconic mission (like all ghilled up, vendetta, no russian or vorkuta for example where you just have to tell the game to find a full mission name), when a new character die like harper or salazar it's not very sad like mason reznov soap or ghost, mission order is I think bad because you switch from past and future every time (will be better to have all past missions with cutscene of woods telling the story then all the future missions with the menendez hunt). Okay there is cool things like choices challenges or loadout but it's not enough to be 1st
The new character is actually pretty good and has a pretty sad back story. All the missions to me have been stand outs and the character deaths depending on which route you took are sad.
Every character has their own dept and story reason to exist in the campaign, there is MULTIPLE iconic moments, such as the club part of Karma, the Raul Menendez rage during Time and Fate, the suffer with me ending, and betrayal on Odysseus are all extremely iconic. You saying none of the new characters deaths are sad is your opinion, and kind of purposeful. Listen to what Menendez and the ISI leader say during Fallen Angel for context. The mission order is perfect because it gives time to see how Menendez is influential in the future as he is in the past, and if it was just in the start, missions like Celerium, Time and Fate, would make NO sense. It is enough to be first, because it is.
mw19s campaign is barely better than mw2 and mw3 reboots, its not good at all, price is terrible, and the story is just terrible all together, it also started the movies that are pretty much campaigns now in cod
It’s crazy how you seem to base a good campaign on if you can understand it with the intelligence of a toddler. The game is rated 17+, so their target audience isn’t children by law. The campaigns are supposed to be creative outlets and dynamically interesting. You say you don’t like easy or simple campaigns yet you shit in Cold War and BO3 for being “too confusing.” What are you? A toddler?
BO2 is as high as it is because unlike most camapigns, it actually says something with its story and characters, theres also more replayablity in it than every other cod campaign probably combined as well.
@@MisterDragon_ replayability? Its not like the choices basically change anything. The flashback missions suck ass. Especially that one where you are on a fucking horse
@@snopdogg2x The choices do matter though? The choices lead to two major outcomes that come from minor choices. Also cool opinion? Suffer with me is one of the best cod missions even if you don't like it, and Pyyrhic Victory has an amazing score. Also theres more than the choices. Theres 10 challenges each mission that give extra gear, that you can later use in different missions. Crazy how you just glossed over it.
@@MisterDragon_ You know what, you do you. I don't care for the story because some missions feel like a stretch and i like only 1/3rd of the missions gameplay wise in the game due to how much they kinda drag on. I will give you the challenge system, i did gloss over it because a good amount of it felt pointless and i could usually just play the mission the same. The villian was also amazing but i am still gonna ask why the hell he shafted iws campaign for, which also has one of the best stories in the franchise, really fun missions, equal if not more sad deaths, good character development, and the extra content and equipment that brings an extreme amount of fun to the game.
What is wrong with you? Seriously. In WW2, the death scene for Turner (might not remember name correctly, finished months ago) where he sacrificed himself was fucking heartbreaking. Also, putting MW2 OG below top 3 is… punishable by making every single COD game you play have every chaos mod instantly installed, on every platform, even console.
The Turner death is and isn’t heart breaking for the exact reason I mentioned about all the over the top stuff. OG MW2s story was great but I found BO1, BO2, MW2019 to be greater.

@@GORILLA_PIMP oh yeah. I forgot to put bo1 there. Thanks for the reminder

Ok let's not let that happen again ok?
Now your next assignment is to write a detailed paragraph about each one
I watched the video to know which CoDs to buy for the campaign during the sale and ended up getting spoiled for at least half of them... wtf bro
Oh…whoops. Atleast I said spoiler.
You should really check out cod 2 and 3 those are some worth while campaigns especially cod 2 which is in my top 3
I’ve played those I just don’t feel like it’s fair to rate them compared to these
@@Bushberry in what way?
@@Bushberry had no problem putting a game without a campaign on the list sooooooo
Did it as a joke lol
How ya gonna make a COD campaign list without even mentioning COD 3?!
MW2 2009 that low 😮😮 i wish you spoke a bit more about MW2009 it was quite quick. Personally for me 2009 MW2 has to be my favourite campaign.
As much as WW2 isn't accurate, you gotta admit, that train scene was super cool
Edit: i did not see the other comment saying this before i commented it.
Bo2, bo1, mw3 og had the best campaigns. Those my top 3
Nah Black Ops 1 campaign its the best and its not even close
You forgot cod 1 2 and 3
Call of duty 3?? Seriously one of the best CODs ever made
My best campaign is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2,, 2009
i liked reboot mw2 because each mission felt and played different and it would never feel like doing the same thing over and over again though the plot is weak and final mission is ass
That’s what drove me nuts about it tbh
How did each mission feel different when it's all slow paced tactical shit
I was looking for someone else who likes the mw2 reboot 😂
RIP Sergei
Putting Cold War that low is foul mate it is probably the best campaign next to black ops 2. It had everything idk why its that low.
From worst to best...
From worst to best

From worst to best?
MWII really had all the potential and IW ruined it so bad.
I don’t even begrudge SHG for MWIII. They at least tried/try to make MP and MWZ good.
It’s sad that SHG is better than IW just because IW wants to be awful.
The helicopter into Chicago at the end is one of the baddest intros to a level mission ever. I live in Wisconsin, and they really nailed that part.
Then it just falls apart with no pacing after that.
IW should not be allowed to make COD anymore.
Not happy with how low Cod 4 is placed.
I want a call of duty black ops movie
Is rather play a good game, than to play a game about killing people, what happened to making good games like sonic boom?
There is plenty of good games out there.
@@Bushberry yeah, I love playing to tac toe with my teacher :-) when I win I'm allowed to lick my teachers toes :3
sonic boom??? you have questionable taste

@@jiggling86 yeah i kinda understood
I would of liked MWIII campaign if it didn't just recycle sections from Warzone
Sure MW3 does that but its done differently
I personally don’t think it would have matter if they changed the levels. The story was pretty weak.
Imo Cold Wars campaign was the best
Best list ever

Mw 2019 over cod waw and mw3 u serious?
I liked cw campaign way more than mw 2019. Mw felt too generic and cliche.
Ghosts above Cod 4? No.
mw19s campaign is barely better than mw2 and mw3 reboots, its not good at all, price is terrible, and the story is just terrible all together, it also started the movies that are pretty much campaigns now in cod
Mid list. Putting ghosts and advanced warfare above Cold War and MW22 is insane
18:39 NO FUCKING WAY HE DIED
Cold War is my favorite campaign
I don’t like the disrespect
Mw reboot trilogy is serious cringe
Ikr I couldn’t figure out what was going on. Graphics were good though
A toddler?
14:41 are you dense?
whatchu mean?
@@Bushberry call of duty 2 was essentially the first sequel, not mw2.
I should have said direct sequel.

Bo4 had the worst campaign 💀
Nah it was peak
No im done what the fuck is this??? There is no god damn way you put bo2 that high and then proceed to shaft the shit out of iws campaign.
It’s miles better
@@MisterDragon_
You know what, you do you.

@@BushberryIam sorry love the ranking but hate infinite
What is wrong with you? Seriously. In WW2, the death scene for Turner (might not remember name correctly, finished months ago) where he sacrificed himself was fucking heartbreaking. Also, putting MW2 OG below top 3 is… punishable by making every single COD game you play have every chaos mod instantly installed, on every platform, even console.
The Turner death is and isn’t heart breaking for the exact reason I mentioned about all the over the top stuff.
OG MW2s story was great but I found BO1, BO2, MW2019 to be greater.
