Nora…awesome video.I just love watching all your video’s, they all so detailed and easy to follow. I purchased Leca and I will be doing my first plant in leca when they arrive.
Glad you like them! Thank you for watching and all the best with your leca journey.
😊😊😊😊😊😂😂😂❤🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😅
Miss Nora, this is hands-down the coolest moss pole idea that I've ever seen! I would love to attempt it on my own, and I'm thinking that I might make sort of a "franken-pothos" with it, using cuttings from several varieties of pothos. Thank you for posting this video, I'm so excited to try it out! Your videos are incredibly inspiring - because of you, I've decided to switch my plants from soil to leca and I cannot wait to see all of the roots growing and thriving! I hope you're having a wonderful day, and I'm looking forward to seeing your next video :-)
Great idea!
A frankenpothos is an amazing idea! Try to make sure they mostly grow at the same rate 😊
You are the Bob Ross of plants. I SO enjoy watching you work and you never cease to impress me 💖
Thanks so much 😊. What lovely words and I certainly do not even belong in the same sentence as Bob Ross, my kids certainly don't think so 😂😂.
Love that comparison!
I know I have said this on several post but I just can't get enough of your videos. I have run out of ones to watch. 😊. All my supplies have arrived to make my moss poles except the darn moss which is taking forever to be delivered. I absolutely can't wait to watch your easy step by step guide while I make all my moss poles. Im converting all my plants eventually to LECA as well. It's going to take some time because I have well over 100 plants to get converted. You are hands down my favorite plantuber ❤️
oh Katie, Katie, Katie, what can I say? This warms my heart!
Wow! Just wow!! That will be just the best moss wall!
I know right ✅ 😊
Even before it’s grown up, it looks spectacular! Can’t wait to see the results. Fabulous demonstration as usual.
Thank you so much! I am really looking forward to seeing this one grow.
I can’t wait to see that grow up that pole. It’s going to be gorgeous
I know right! Can you just imagine it!
Love to see a follow up as your beautiful Snow Queen makes her way up the moss pole.
For sure, you will definitely see her.
A rectangular moss pole!!!! Omg!!!! This is a hit..I love what you did. I've never seen anything like it!!!! I have the materials to do this. Your plants is going to explode!!! Thank you for sharing. Great job, mama!
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! It will be amazing yes..I would love to see yours.
This gives me an idea for making a green wall for behind an aquarium possibly. I love aquaponics and something like this would look beautiful hanging from the wall as a backdrop for an aquarium covered in different plants. Maybe I'll have the plant roots growing into the fish tank and have some plastic backing to protect the wall from moisture? So many possibilities! I love your channel! Thank you! ❤️
If you like this, you will love the video I have for next week, you must watch it!😍
You directions are very simple and to the point. Love the idea of a rectangular moss pole. Well done. 👍🏾😉
Thank you very much.
Fill the bottom of the flat pole with LECA, which will increase root mass, prevent the moss from falling out and help stabilize the pole in the pot. Great video though
Interesting additions. Thank you for that. Well appreciated 😌 ☺.
I can’t wait to make one of these! Though your pothos looks more like a Manjula than a Snow Queen
Just lovely!
Thanks for this great how to video. 😊👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Ms queen leca, this idea is awesome 👍👍👍
Thank you! 😊
So cool! Isn’t that an n’joy pothos though… doesn’t look like a snow queen to me! :)
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! I know what you mean about N'Joy. I am tempted to just call it N'Joy instead of Snow Queen. It is sold as a Snow Queen here in Australia.
Remarkable! Thank you so much for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can’t wait to see how this matures!
You and me both!
It is a great pleasure watching your videos!! Thank you again and again! It is expensive but there is no comparison with growth in the soil. Love it!!
Thank you! Life is about doing what you love. We all pay to do what we love so this is no different.
Great video!
I love this, it would so very easy to extend it to make taller, once the plant reaches the top.
Glad you enjoyed it
Indeed
It looks so good!
Nora, I love your innovations and creative ideas. I learn so much from you. I am definitely going to attempt to make one of these for some marble queens starts I have.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. Your encouraging commentaries give me some confidence. 😄

Wonderful! So glad to hear it! I just love having fun with my plants and trying out things.
Awesome! I love it! Such a great idea and this way I might be able to keep my moss pole moist! I also love your earrings - you look lovely and seem like a wonderful, happy person. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated!
I've been loving your videos. Since watching, I've made several moss poles and attached them to my Thai Contstellation Monsterra, Thai Contstellation Standleyana, Pink Princess x2, Siltepecana x2. Already the plants are pushing out larger leaves. Thanks for the help!
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! So happy to hear about the big leaves!! Yessss!!!!
THIS IS A VERY NICE SET-UP. YOUR VIDEOS ARE EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND FOLLOW. YOU ARE A VERY SMART LADY. THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING.
You are too kind, thank you.
100! Great idea expanded !
This was very helpful. Thank you
You are welcome 😊
Beautiful
This is beautiful…can’t wait to see it grow up
Thank you. I can't wait also!
Nora, this is a lovely pole, great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Love it! I love your tips and the ease of how you explain things.
Thanks so much! Your kind words are appreciated.
I watch you do that I need to build one for my SNOW QUEEN. Thank you for sharing.
Me planning a different way to plant the next batch of propagated cuttings. Luvvv this piece ♡
Thank you.
I’m so glad to now know that some pothos can live in leca and water. You saved me from looking it up 😉 thanks!
You are very welcome. Giving folks some information about plants in leca and semi hydroponics is what I am all about 😊
Thank you Nora…. You have beautiful plants 🪴
Thanks so much 😊
This is such an amazing idea. I NEED to try this! Thanks for the detailed tutorial ^_^
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated!
Absolutely beautiful 😍 ❤
Thank you! 😊
Thanks for sharing!! I'm going to try making my first moss wall for my pothos plants. But somehow I'm imagining putting the metal rods in cupcake molds or something and pour cement there, idk maybe 4 cm or more, and hoping they will be heavier at the bottom with individual cement attachments, thus more stable. Maybe I'll end up glueing the cement, i don't really know but I'm excited to try. Thinking of visually dividing my large room with this kind of a wall 😊
OMG, Those earrings are beautiful!!
They are! Thank you!
Just a suggestion but I'd love to see you grow Philodendron micans up a moss pole to see how big you can grow the leaves.
I am just about to pole up my Micans cuttings that are ready to go. watch this space! Notification bell for you if you want to see that.
I'm so in love with large leaf plants & learning about leca. Thank you💐
Chosen2win333 you are very welcome!
This turned out amazing
Have a great day
Thank you!
"I'm blaming the children." That's always a good bet! 🤣
It is always them 😂😂.
ASE 👑 Queen
😊🥰
I love the way these moss structures look. I must make one. I have plenty of moss left over because I use it for orchids that don't use much and I buy it when I see it because it's always very little in stock now... go figure. That pothos is an njoy. Marble and Snow have more mottled markings. Yours has solid green center with white on the edges. I have about 8 different kinds.
You should!
Wonderful idea 💡I cannot wait to try this for my neon pothos. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Great job. Your creative idea is looking beautiful.
Thank you so much 😊
That looks amazing! You are a joy to watch and listen too!
Thank you so much!
Magnifique bravo
Thank you!
Fantastic
Can we get a follow up?! Epipremnum are such amazing plants and amazing for projects like this. Very much underappreciated in most cases.
Indeed. I really love the Pothos group of plants, theyare so versatile! I will certainly keep you posted.
Bravo
This is the best ever moss wall arrangement I have seen in my life.
Love you from India
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! Thank you so much!
Loved it
Thank you 😊.
I love your channel!! Totally subbed 💚💚😅⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you thank you thank you 😊 🙏 ☺
Love the way your moss poles look. I’m going to try it myself
Please do!
Thank you so much for making this video!! How would you rehydrate this moss wall panel if you cannot use your water bottle method? I'm slowly converting my plants to moss poles and leca because I love your system so much. You are doing right by your plants and shows because they are thriving~
I also noticed you started using a lavalier mic the last few videos. The audio sounds great!
Hello, thank you for your lovely words. Yes, got amic! Got to level up! Somuch to learn with this UA-cam business! I would geberally use my pressure sprayer to keep this moist as I will only moistening the bottom bit fornow. It will take longer than usng the bottle but still possible.
I love this!
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it. Have you seen the one I made with Syngoniums?
@@TheLecaQueen no I have not, but I will! Thank you so very much for all of your generosity with your knowledge! I am going to make a plastic back moss pole for two of my monsteras now and because I'm a full time student (even at age 50...),this will save me so much money!
You are a great influencer. Your instructions are are direct with visual hands on. Love and enjoy what you are doing. Class has started, QUIET PLEASE
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! This comment made my day!

Thank you so much!
Super!!!!😄😄
😀
Молодец!!!!!
Thank you 😊
absolutely beautiful and amazing. how often do you water the moss or do you ever water the moss.
Thank you. I try to get it moist at least once a week.
I really enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing! :)
I’m new to your channel and WOW! Awesome moss pole board! I’m going to try it for my Monstera Plant which is in soil .Thank You for sharing 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated!
Ms.Nora You’re awesome. Where did you get the rectangular pot?
You are too kind. Check out my favourite Lechuza pots including that one here: kit.co/thelecaqueen/favourite-lechuza-pots
Hi from Auatralia. - Artemis Quilled 🍀🌄💣
Hello 👋
Beautiful! I gonna have to try this ❤
You should 🥰
Absolutely great idea. W leca too. SUBSCRIBED 🌱❤🌱❤🌱
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated!
You did an amazing job - it's beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Very informative video. Thanks so much for the idea! A couple of questions:
Is there a difference between putting the rods inside the mesh and outside the mesh like you have in this video?
I am facing mealy bugs hiding in the moss and then getting to the plant. How do you tackle this?
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! Putting the rods inside the mesh presents a problem when it is time to chop the plant when it grows too high. With the poles on the outside, it is easy to remove them and separate the roots if needed. I hope this makes sense. Mealy bugs in the moss? That is a new one. I have not had this problem. Can you try a diluted alcohol solution to kill the bugs in the moss? Hard to advise without seeing the setup.
@@TheLecaQueen Thanks so much for your response!
Understand the logic behind the rod 😊
Mealy bugs in the moss pole - I have one of the wooden stick covered with moss. I tried spraying neem oil but does not seem to be working. Will try the alcohol. Thanks again!
I just found you, but omg. I want to have all of my moss poles in leca as well! I’m excited to have someone on the same page as me
Welcome!! Moss poles in leca!!! Lets do it!
Hi Nora. I just wonder if you use living moss or preserved moss.
That's awesome, thanks for sharing :)
Thank you and you are very welcome 😊.
Wow you are the truth 😌
When do you start using the foliage focus on the moss pole?
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! As soon as the cuttings appear settled I will switch over. Probably about 2 weeks.
So the plant will grow up the moss? Where do you get the lekker
Yes, it will grow up the moss. I get leca from hydroponics shops or you can find it online.
Fantastic video Nora. I'm in south Brisbane. where are you located?
Thank you. I am in Melbourne.
Beautiful! Your plant looks like a Pothos N Joy or Glacier not a snow queen.
Thank you 😊. In Australia it is called a Snow Queen .
@@TheLecaQueen Amazing. Thank you
Can we use peat moss as an alternative as spagnum not available in our city
That's amazing. Now do you have to mist the moss everyday to keep it moist ?
No need. Only keep it moist when I need to when almost dry, certainly not every day.
How do you water this moss wall? I want to try this with 4 different kinds of pothos on a ~19in wide wall but i have no idea how it would be watered and i wouldn't be able to move it under a shower to be watered.
Hello! Question, which other plants do you recommend for that type of pole?? Thank you in advance 😊
Plants that have aerial roots work well. I also have done this with Syngoniums. See video here:ua-cam.com/video/wKkSxXPjFBo/v-deo.html
Question: Won’t the moss up top dry out really quickly with both sides open and nothing growing on it?
it does, which is why for the next moss wall I made with my Syngoniums, I used a plastic sheet back. Watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/wKkSxXPjFBo/v-deo.htmlsi=SMqdnwqTfol2UW_3
As the plant gets big, won’t the whole thing be top heavy and fall over without being bottom weighted?
Oh my gosh Gale, you read my mind. I am just about to publish a video giving an update on this moss wall and Syngonium one. Look out for it this week. I will answer your question then.
I am new to Semi Hydroponics and so far I love it! However, I have been rather stuck on how to stake a plant since I bought a plastic Moss Pole from Amazon. But now that I have it, I like what you've done much better. Thank you for making this video. Newly subscribed and a 👍!
PS. Question: Assuming you spray your Moss Pole to keep it hydrated, but is there any danger of fungus in the pole, or from run-off as the moisture works it's way down into the Leca? Please let me know.
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! You will find that the moss pole dries off pretty quickly so fungus is not really an issue. I have not had fungus growing. I have had algae growing but not fungus.
@@TheLecaQueen Thanks for your response! I'll be jumping into the project soon with both feet!
Oh hello, you're in Melbourne Australia as well! Probably why I could find opaque polyethylene sheet the same size and thickness, same goes for the mesh and sphagnum! Well, it's reassuring you're in the same climate, although I don't know if you heat/humidify your place (I don't usually)! Your plants are luuuussssshhhhh. Going to try making some proper moss poles like yours for the first time today, thankyou! (The commercial coir ones are TERRIBLE!)
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! Yes, Melbourne, I would love to say born and bred but well, that is a story for another day. Making your own moss poles is really just the best!
👌 👏
Thanks
Where can I buy those earrings? LOL. They are unique.
Thank you, I got them off a seller on etsy but I had her make mine bigger! I like big leaves !!
Please please show an update for this😊
Thank you!
I certainly will. It still looks the same for now. We are also in autumn now so growth will be slow.
Could you provide an update video on this moss wall? Thanks
Too early for an update, this plant is a notoriously slow grower. I will put up a picture on my Community tab soon.
I can’t find clear containers 😩
Can I ask what do you do after a year or 2 when the moss starts to degrade and rot? Also how to you get rid of any algea growth that happens over time?
Hello, I have responded to part of this question in my Q&A session of 8th June. Check it out. Thanks
Hi Nora. Where do you get your rare plants from. Do you order online? Do the stores in Melbourne carry them. Thank you for a reply
Hello, I get my plants from anywhere and everywhere. Stores in Melbourne usually carry the more common plants. I am always looking for plants. I use ebay, Facebook market place, online plant stores, instagram, anywhere plants are to be found I am there 😀 😄 🙃.
@@TheLecaQueen same here except for the really expensive ones.
Does any of the metal rust?
No because all th metal is covered with PVC so no contact with the liquid.
IWhat was that you soak your mose
Any update on this?
Growth has been slow as it was winter. It is growing more now. I will do an update soon. Thanks for asking.
hello
Hello.
That's Pothos N'joy not a snow queen.
I'm some random guy online so if you didn't believe me I'd understand... but would you believe google?
I have majority of the common pothos. The one I don't have and want is that N'joy.
Your is gorgeous by the way.
Thank you for your kind words and for watching and subscribing, much appreciated! I have no trouble believing you at all. I know for sure that the plant is called an N'Joy in the US. However, in Australia it is sold as a Snow Queen and I chose to use our terminology. I hope that we can still both enjoy the plant regardless of what we call it.
I don’t think that’s a snow queen pothos
Thanks. It is called a Snow Queen in Australia.
I would put some plastic shits into the back side of the pole to have moisture for longer 💕
That is definitely an option. I would have done that but I had no plastic sheet to use.
