Dang, I was just watching an old video of yours and noticed how (with respect) big you were and how fit you've gotten in the last year or so. Dude, you've made some crazy progress!
Hey Taylor, I bought a Tough Clip because of your recommendation and have had it since December 2021. Can’t thank you enough for advertising that product. Jamie did an amazing job with the simplistic design. Great quality and very durable. It replaced every other dangler or carabiner that I’ve used in the past. I don’t go anywhere without it.
Never change Taylor. We love your variety in carry. Everyone has stables if they really love gear and a bit of pocket jewelry. Hopefully I will have a collection close to your amazing array of gear.
3:59 yes! that is in fact situational irony! you would expect what you carry the most to be there with you, yet your expectations are subverted, therefore irony is in place.
Wallet - Hanlon Leather Pen - Sharpie Gel or G2. (I lose pens a lot). Multi-Tool - Leatherman Wave or Victorinox Climber Flashlight - Rovyvon A8 Watch - Apple Watch, whatever the newest gen is. Don't have a dedicated knife, but I'm considering adding one. For now the Multi-tools do the work.
Fellow invictus enthusiast here. Not sure if you’ve ever handled an Invictus Alpha, but if not you should hunt one down. It’s the Jeremy Robertson custom version and something about the design combined with hand ground blades, hand fit locks, washer action, and XHP - it’s the ultimate expression of the invictus
The one EDC watch everyone sleeps on or knows nothing about is the Casio Oceanus S100 series. Titanium case and band, sapphire crystal, and the same Casio Tough Movement in most of their dialed-out G-Shock watches but in something that does *not* look like a G-Shock. You could wear this thing to a wedding and then go to the range and dump a few thousand rounds downrange and it won't affect it one bit. Not to mention it sync up with the atomic clock wireless every night as well as can easily jump between time zones in seconds, far faster than any other watch on the market. Lume is incredible on it. And it's solar so no worrying about batteries as well as 100m w/r. And I guarantee it's one of the lightest watches on the market due to it's all-titanium build. And right now it's going for anywhere between $350-$500 depending on where you get it. Backup analog watch is a Manchester Watch Works "Rattler" automatic watch. Titanium case, sapphire crystal, superluminova lume that charges easily and lasts all night, hand-wind or auto, screw-down crown with 100m w/r and uses the venerable NH35 movement with shock resistance. I've hand-calibrated mine to keep within a few seconds of atomic time. Too bad the company doesn't exist anymore and the watch is no longer made, but that NH35 movement means it's easily serviced or repaired at pretty much any watch servicing business in my area.
I think my flashlight philosophy is completely different. It’s the flashlight I wanted cost $300 I’d still buy it. However the one I’ve been edc-ing for 12 years runs about $25 now. When it first came out it was about 85$ it is a on off AAA 25 lumin. Flashlight. The function I like about it is the lens. Pulled back it is extremely even clear light for close to work. And it does OK as a spotlight too when the lens is adjusted. It has a hat clip. I use at least one to two hours every single day that I am working. It might be my most indispensable tool
I like how you don’t get too bummed out from the negative comments. Glad you’ve highlighted the positives to expensive torches/flashlights. Would love to see a budget flashlight video sometime (if you’ve not done one already). Something around the $£100 mark if possible. Thanks for all these videos, I’ve watched a lot over the past few weeks and really love your channel. Keep the great videos coming! 🤙
I know this is an older video but just wanted to drop by and say this video made me FINALLY try Nylon on one of my Hinderer's. Chose to try it on the NF Eklipse and I absolutely love it now that it's broken in. Makes me want a NF 3.5!
Great video, man. I look forward to your video more recently. Since your new studio and more “earthy” vibe your videos give off, I’m really digging it. More than in the past. Well done. Carry on!
Hey Taylor, just so you are informed, it is possible to find out the biting of a lock just by looking at the key so someone can make an exact copy of a key seen on video. Be careful. Carry on.
Personally I like your contant on high end flashlights. I carry a little brass Maratac aaa twist top light about 90% of the time, I don't feel the need for more, but I find those high end options interesting to know about. It's like high end watches, not something I'm looking for but seeing what's out there is cool. Really enjoy the channel.
The copper Maratac aaa is my favorite keychain light. With the patina it looks like an antique ship instrument. I also like the Eagtac d3a in titanium, a compact clicky aa. It has an excellent UI and a better clip than the Maratac (I clip it to my shirt for hands-free work). I’ve had reliability issues with a number of lights recently, but these two have never let me down. I also agree, I’d love to hear more about the high end stuff!
That wallet. First heard of it while watching your channel. It was love at first sight. Missed the drops a few times but finally managed to land one which hopefully is in the mail on the way! Keep up the great reviews!
Glad I watched this, if nothing else for the sog multi tool. Side note though the flash lights you carry, they should put a double sided clip on them. So they could clip to your hat as well. Especially for the cost.
Sofirn SP10 pro is pretty damn awesome. Anduril 2 need I say more. 14500 and AA both work in the light and the battery voltage test works for both. $23
Honestly, the little o-ring on the key holder says "bad design" to me. If you have to add an o-ring to keep things from falling off, then the clip is ineffectual in and of itself. Just my opinion. It would be much cleaner without it. But then of course, things could fall off.
Cowabunga mate.! Great summer carry TM. It's winter over here with similar carry but much low end but functional. Cheers matey. Greetings from Australia.
I’m loving your videos! But, brother, you and me are from different planets! 😜 I wish I had your budget, though! My key management is a split ring and I made a leather fob. Snaps for belt hanging. Car keys are separate. No key ring blades. My pen is a chubby Cuban I turned on a lathe. Flashlight is a Fenix - 5 white modes. 10-1500 lumens, plus red and green. Too big to wear. Wallet. Old leather job that looks like a brick. Going to make another. Kinda small biker. Wood watches cost me $50/ea. Condor Wendigo for my knife. (Ordered.) replacing my krakatoa. I think the big distinction between you and me is my backpack(s). I have many. My edc is in my bag (sometimes my pockets) as such I lean to bigger and heavier items. No multi tools. Multiple tools. My work pack has laptops, cables, adapters, disks and drives. My play bag has the stuff we both like! It also has a cz-75. I usually don’t wear that at work. I liked your bit about the finer points of flashlights. I agree but not fully. I mean, you have a much deeper understanding of flashlights. I have 7 options and use 3. I use 2 90% of the time. There are watch aficionados who would hate my wooden ones. I like cheap but good stuff. Like condor knives. Wood Forest watches. I also like to make stuff. It’s not great. But it means a lot to me. My whole kit is probably well under $500. I’ll have to price it out. Thanks again for the great videos! Cheers!
I dont even have a flashlight but I want one. Love the look of the okluma DC0. I'm looking to buy a slim pocket flashlight preferably rechargeable but everyone I like is sold out and I want to spend around the $100 range.
Taylor to viewers: "I don't really want to show you everything I have because you either can't get it or can't afford it. And that's the damn truth." :)))
I think that many of us (knife, EDC guys) will spend 80 to 100 bucks on a nice flashlight, but 450 bucks is a bit of a different story. It may be just me but a $100 flashlight feels equal in range to a $200 knife. I feel like a $450 flashlight is equal to the $800 knife to most of us EDC enthusiasts. Maybe only because you can get almost every single Bell and whistle on a flashlight for a hundred bucks. There are plenty of enthusiast flashlights that you could talk about just like knives. You don't have to avoid talking about them, just include more of the range of what's available. No offense but not talking about flashlights because you want to only talk about the $400 ones is a bit of a cop out, 😁. Love the channel, and thanks for all the work that you put into bringing us quality content so regularly
Every fool has his own joy, as they say. each of us spends money on what we want to have. It would be nice if you made a video dedicated to flashlights in several price categories
have you ever showed us how you carry all this stuff? I think it would make a great video. Where do you keep all of it? Pouch? Is it comfortable? is everything just in one pocket?
I’m wondering the same. An example of how the key clip sits when hooked on a pant loop would be helpful for me. I’m considering it for my work keys but not sure how many a guy can fit on one as I have several and want them to reach my pocket from plant loop so they’re not making noise while walking.
....SOG Powerpint is my MT..... I carry a WERA bit set for it in my EDC bag. I also carry the SAK Climber (+ scales) with the Key¦Smart pocket clip with SAK lanyard. (Knifeless REBAR for bigger and main MT)
I like my low grad carabiner for key's. Crazy fl's.. near 2k in fl's LOL I heard strobe flashlight is one of the best defense items next to being a black belt.
im with ya on the flashlights bro! I feel that in the majority of my struggles in life, a little bit of light, goes a LONG way...same can be said for a knife, but i've never met anyone scared of a pocket light! lmao
Its a phenomenal multitool and nothing in it's size comes close to it. I love it just about as much as my Leatherman Free P2 and Wave+. It's so compact, but has every tool i basically ever need. I just wish it had magnets to keep it closed like the P2 does, but that's the only gripe i have about it. When it's on my Grip6 belts, it can come "apart" and open. Not the tools though, just the frame/handles. For the price and size, i dare you to find something better 😉👍

Pardon me, for being crass, but how can people afford to carry such expensive gear around? I have trouble keeping cheap gear, with out people trying to make it theirs. I once had a nice but inexpensive pen, that I loaned to a customer's employee, and the guy put it in his pocket and walked off with it, before I realized he was gone. That particular pen was a limited edition, that is no longer for sale anymore and I have yet to find another one.
The lights are neato, but I don’t think an Emisar D4v2, FWAA, or SP10 Pro can be beaten. Anduril is the best software I’ve used and the more I’ve used it, the less I’ve been interested in other lights. Only other light that gets carried is a RovyVon for my keychain.
I love those lights too. The only downside (for the tail switch one anyway) is the e-switch. For real though, if the d4v2 got an actual good deep carry clip, it’d be beast.
Anduril is awesome and powerful, but for daily use, I just prefer having something simple and straightforward. I really enjoy the FW3T I have, but end up grabbing these instead.
I started keeping my edc gear 2 less gear, but nicer stuff that I love 2 carry. 3 wallets,5 knives a couple flashlights and so on. I had 2 much stuff before. I felt like I couldn't enjoy the gear I had.
For a minimal wallet look up magnus industries ti wallet from New Zealand. Love mine and its basically only a step in from an elastic band in being as minimal as they come
After going to CRK, Hinderer, Shirgorov… and all the fancy flashlights (totally love those flashlights tbh). Would you do a month carry with more “mid range” items like a PM2, olight…?
Hey Taylor, I have been on board the PowerPint train sense your first video with it during the store edc challenge videos. That being said, have you had issues with it coming open in the pocket? It seems to be my only issue I have with it. If you have, have you found any way to combat it?
I neeeeeeed it. Lol that wallet is so nice. I tried to go to the cite and it says I need a password. Will it just be open next month or do we need to aquire the password?
I haven’t tried the power pint yet but I carry the Gerber suspension nxt it’s awesome has all the things you look for in a multi tool including locking tools look forward to a video if you give it a try
I’d like to see EDCs that include automatic knives. If you can carry automatic, I don’t understand passing up the opportunity. I think OTF knives are the safest knives possible because you never have to touch the blade. I have carried a BM Pagan for many years. If you don’t think automatic knives are the coolest you are lying to yourself.
Hello! Just discovered this channel. Question for the community. I bought a Spyderco Shaman recently and realized it wasn’t really what I was looking for. Where does one go to trade knives for other knives?
Dang, I was just watching an old video of yours and noticed how (with respect) big you were and how fit you've gotten in the last year or so. Dude, you've made some crazy progress!
Thank you!
I thought the same thing! Looking great man! Hope life is going well with you and yours ❤️

It replaced every other dangler or carabiner that I’ve used in the past. I don’t go anywhere without it.
The rustic heirloom wallet is exactly what I have been looking for. I’m a chain wallet guy and this fits the bill. I wish it was in stock.
Never change Taylor. We love your variety in carry. Everyone has stables if they really love gear and a bit of pocket jewelry. Hopefully I will have a collection close to your amazing array of gear.
Would love to see more flashlight content. I got a bunch of customs and would love to get your perspective on some

It’s been a while since i watch this channel, you have lost a lot of weight! You look great! Congratulations!

When’s the wallet release Taylor? And any update on a patina update? Thinking a about getting one

the reason people are hesitant on flashlights is because of the fw3 and emisar, muiltple lumitops that use great ui
I dont even have a flashlight but I want one. Love the look of the okluma DC0. I'm looking to buy a slim pocket flashlight preferably rechargeable but everyone I like is sold out and I want to spend around the $100 range.
I really like the power pint
You gotta do a Hard Use/ Top 10 Heavy Duty MT video next! Keep doing awesome work man!
19:50 wow, that is a really nice watch.
Ooo JRW with an o-ring. Ok, that's some next lvl right there. Hella smart.
Taylor to viewers: "I don't really want to show you everything I have because you either can't get it or can't afford it. And that's the damn truth." :)))

You haven’t seen the 2000 lumen light that I carry. It will light you up @ 300 yards.
Liked the flashlight and knife comparison. All gear should be good gear. Good man taylor
Taylor, digging up an older video but what flashlight/headlamp setup do you roll when hiking or camping?
Not tired of hearing about the sog powerpint. I want to get one at some point.
Its a phenomenal multitool and nothing in it's size comes close to it. I love it just about as much as my Leatherman Free P2 and Wave+. It's so compact, but has every tool i basically ever need. When you busted out the case for that second I actually laughed out loud 😂 great video

Monte Blac could easily run a couple thousands and more. No joke very serious 10,000 and more sometimes.

Can you do an updated budget carry video under $100 or under $200?
I recommend omega seamaster for a watch. Great summer time watch
Your looking good on your weight loss journey!

Plus, I’m a fan of the magnetic tail caps offered in the D4v2 and SP10 Pro
I have the FW21 Pro. I wished they made a Ti version. They only made a Cu one aside from the standard Alu..

I too hold corrosion resistance very highly on the knife overall attribute scale.
For a minimal wallet look up magnus industries ti wallet from New Zealand. Love mine and its basically only a step in from an elastic band in being as minimal as they come
Great list. Doesn’t matter the price as long as it’s functional, reliable, and is used regularly.
Given all the Shot Show pocket check Rolex watches you uncovered, it’s kinda silly for the community to carp about nice flashlights, I think.
“Yer this my homies pry bar thing idk it’s pre lame used it like ONCE just there to support the boy but anyway this glow thing pretty neat…” 😂
The sog power pint would be perfect if the pocket clip was on the other side

Hey Taylor, I have been on board the PowerPint train sense your first video with it during the store edc challenge videos. That being said, have you had issues with it coming open in the pocket? It seems to be my only issue I have with it. If you have, have you found any way to combat it?
What is the most affordable tactile turn pen
Where do you carry a multi tool if your pickets are full
COOL STUFF 😎!
Definitely going to try out that SOG multi tool
You must try the full Ti American Blade Works framelock!
Hey there. Looking to put together an EDC gift package. What's makes those pens worth that much (or really more than $10-$20)? Thanks
i have the tough clip but how the hell do you get the o-ring on there like that?
I already have the tough clip - what size oring could I put to duplicate this?
I neeeeeeed it. Lol that wallet is so nice. I tried to go to the cite and it says I need a password. Will it just be open next month or do we need to aquire the password?
any idea if they'll do another run of hitchhikers? never saw a minimalist wallet i liked until that one

Did he make bronze oklumas? I need to find one
Know of any options similar to the key smart mini in real leather? Love the design but plastic isn’t my jam 🤣
You can make one with a Chicago screw and a scrap of leather
Great video!!!
If I may ask, where did you get the Teflon washers for the Hinderer spanto? I’d like to get a set for my spanto as well.
Thank you!!!!
Best pocket knife under $50?
Could you make that wallet with a back access card holder
I’d like to see EDCs that include automatic knives. If you can carry automatic, I don’t understand passing up the opportunity. I think OTF knives are the safest knives possible because you never have to touch the blade. I have carried a BM Pagan for many years. If you don’t think automatic knives are the coolest you are lying to yourself.
what is the best edc company
So I've watch a few of your videos and I'm hooked but what will carry commission consist of?
Speaking of flashlights, have you tried any Convoy lights? Or Emisar/Noctigon lights?
Lookin like a snack bro!
Was hoping to see that Micarta PM2 in your top 5 😉
Hello! Just discovered this channel. Question for the community. I bought a Spyderco Shaman recently and realized it wasn’t really what I was looking for. Where does one go to trade knives for other knives?
