EDC, or EVERY DAY CARRY, is just the gear, stuff, whatever that a person carries with them every day. For a guy it's typically what you can fit in your pockets - if you're a purse carrier, that can extend even to your purse. If you carry around a backpack everyday, then that could count as well. I've tried to have a well-rounded EDC since I started carrying gadgets and gizmos in my younger years, but it's remained pretty standard for the last decade or so. Gun, knife/tool, flashlight as the core. With these three items, most of your everyday bases will be covered. *Worth noting that I DO carry medical gear both in my everyday carry backpack, as well as in my vehicle, and stashed pretty much everywhere else in my life.

I was hesitant to pick up the Skeletool because it doesn’t have scissors and in my 16 years of carrying a Leatherman everyday I’ve found the scissors to be the most commonly used tool. A skeletool became available for a really really great price and... I’ve carried it every day for the last two years. My blast, wave, wave +, surge, rebar and charge are all awesome and all collecting dust
I've been carrying the skeletool sx for a few months. Took off the clip and swapped the blade for sak scissors. It was okay but I would always just use the bits with either my leatherman bit extender or my topeak wrench.
I started carrying the knifeless rebar and I like it a lot more. Swapped the bit extender for the bit adapter.
life hack! if you use your prison purse you can carry more items..and the more you use it the more items you can accommodate, just remember lube
jed Tomczat recently got a genuine leather prison purse cover. It fits perfectly, and the patina looks fantastic so far. Removal as a bit messy, on the other hand. And don't even get me started on up keep and cleaning...

I currently use the i3T EOS for my EDC light, I also have an M1T Raider that I carry in the 2nd Gen Taco in that small cubby hole next to the steering wheel to the left. For a headlamp I use the H1A Nova. OLights are great, you can never have too much light.

I've carried an olight s1mini baton for nearly a year now and I love it. I always used surefire until I got the olight as a gift and I never go anywhere without it
For me when it comes to EDC, style, weight, comfort/ergonomics and price are what matters to me. For a fixed blade EDC knife, I recommend the Bradford Guardian 3s in 3D micarta. Horizontal belt carry and easy to conceal. Amazing knife. For folding knives, I recommend the Bestech Paladin, Bestech Swordfish, Civivi Praxis or Civivi Baklash. The Ontario Rat 1 and R2D2, Syderco PM2, or Benchmade 940-1 are also good options depending on your budget. The Kershaw Dividend is also a good option if you want something smaller. Overall I think the Civivi knives are the best value. I don’t carry a flashlight because I find my phone light sufficient for most tasks. I have bigger flashlights in my car and around the house if I really need. I also prefer a more comfortable leather travelers wallet. It’s slim but not hard like the wallet featured in this video. Most of the stuff you displayed seems practical enough. Although I would change the backpack, to a "dry bag" style backpack w/ strap system. - Waterproof, (some) are puncture and tear proof. But I understand choices vary depending on personal preference. Nice vid. Thank you.
If you like smaller warncliff style knives, try the Zero Tolerance 0808. It’s similar in size to the Kershaw Leek, but with a more robust blade.
That's the right blade shape for everything other than straight razors or mini Cleaver's.

I have 6 or 7 Olight’s and never had any problems “until” I bought a M2R Warrior!!!!! Nothing but problems!!!! Had it since Oct 2018 and it has never worked correctly!!!!! Even sent it back once!!!!! They returned it and it worked for a week!!!!! Makes a decent paper weight!!!
Love my Summit Wallet and yes I do also own Trayvax’s higher end models. I have 2 Contours in fact but always go back to the bare bones Summit. No plate or journal. It just is easy. I use the Summit as my daily driver and have a Machine Era Ti5 in black as my work wallet with all my work crap. Also love that magwell on my G17. Great recommendation as it replaced my super expensive one from Agency as it weighs nothing yet works.

The defensive knife situation is used only for a few seconds if there isn't time to deploy your primary firearm do to close quarters it allows you to give a few pokes with the blade and then create space to deploy your primary firearm

I carry a ZT 0301 as my utility knife. Its on the bigger side but I am a big guy with big hands. I love it. Might wanna give it a try. Also I just picked up a Taurus G2C and I have put about 1000 rounds through it. No problems at all. Start carrying it over my glock 26. Might wanna try it as a smaller option as well for the firearm. If you push and hold the button and hold it past the moonlight mode you access lockout mode and the light will not turn on untill you hold it down again to get it out of lockout.👊🏽

I've been using the armored summit for over two years now and even with the armor plate it still makes both front and back cards easy to access. I tried the trayvax ascent and it was too bulky compared to my summit.

Great video!! I have the PM 2 & 3 by Spyderco they are both great I still prefer the 2 but the 3 is a nice small knife. Another you may want to check out is the Spyderco Endura 4 With the Emerson Wave Made in Japan VG-10 & its cheap too $105. I was in Spyderco In Golden to buy a much more expensive knife but was sold on how this knife deploys even if someone were to grab from behind and go for your gun you can get this thing out & go to work with very limited space and I absolutley love it!! it has been my EDC ever since. there is not another knife I can deploy quicker period.So now I carry Endura left pocket PM2 right pocket. Love the Channel keep it up.
Olight M2R Warrior is my edc gives you the tactical tail cap, magnetic tail cap and utilitarian needs as well not much bigger in size than your S2R Baton. I carry the S1R Baton 2 on occasion if I need something smaller but find the M2R to check all the boxes for me.

In germany you are a not a man when you use a dedicated bottle opener. You should be able to open a bottle with every item in reach. I once used a sock to open a bottle 😂

To anyone on a strict budget ROSS department store is great for building a proper edc from scratch. I have found decent tactical backpacks, gerber knifes and multi tools, SOG and leather men products. Decent first aid kits and under armor tactical clothing.

Love the video! I would encourage you to replicate your carry knives with kydex or a cutting board and get crazy. I started out liking the rings because of how easy the draw is, but shied away because of the need to swap my grips when my arms got tangled or trapped. I also really liked having a double edge for all the pushing and pulling that’s done in BJJ. Just my personal preference.

Carry it daily (many friends do the same). Extremely reliable and practice muscle memory on the weekends. Single stack works great for "fit" men. I appendix carry personally.
@@menmakingwaves8621 I plan on appendix carrying. This will be my first concealed carry, I am 5'9" and 120 lbs. So rather skinny. I know people don't recommend appendix carrying their first concealed carry weapon. However, with my build I think it's the best option, and my gun safety is excellent.
@@Toshipie325 Similar build. +2 mag usually with minor "printing" but stock mags are nearly undetectable. Most of my LE friends carry shields off duty. Single stack in general is a good ccw especially for fit/slim men. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.

The trayvax summit has a cash clip in the back behind the spot where you adjust the nylon strap. The armor plate brings a bottle opener
I use the flip side wallet, has RFID protection and accommodates all of my credit cards, travel cards, health insurance card, licenses etc.

I'm struggling to fight a holster for left handed people like me. I have a Glock 19, and want a holster that can fit a tlr8 and of course left handed. And can't find anything for it. It's disappointing.

Nice dump bro. I'm into minimalist as well. Thing is, most of my gear is budget or at least budget-ish.
I use a Kinzd leather wallet, I carry a Taurus G2S 9mm, albeit somewhat modified. (They actually are VERY reliable - at least mine is. 2000+ round down range without a hiccup.) Upgraded striker guide & springs, trigger, magazine, and guide rod assembly.
My flashlight is the ThruNite T1. The have tail magnets as well and tend to have higher turbo outputs than Olight as well as orange-peel reflectors.
I also carry a drop point Boker Plus Kalashnikov, as well as an EdcFans RUK (small utility blade multi tool). I always have a smaller backup blade & flashlight.
I admire your choice to EDC carry. The way I see it, any right we end up not using, we end up losing.

If you like the finger ring for your knives, you should try a Thyrm for your flashlight. I have been using it for years and love it for light retention and use with a firearm.
It's cool, and I've tried it, but never have grown to like it. If I didn't have a weaponlight, I might force myself to make it work though.

If you like magnetic tail cap, you should check out the Rofis flashlights. It also has a rotational head so you can change the angle of the light. I find this more useful then just having the light pointing opposite of where you stick the light.
Yeah those are another nice option, I've tried em and they work well! I found that I never actually rotated the head though, and so in essence, it just added a little extra length, which I wasn't actually utilizing.
