For many years, the tales coming from the Chase have been both frightening and bizarre. But with a spate of werewolf and big cat sightings catching my attention recently, it was time to have a wander up there once and for all.
Did an ancient tribe open up a portal to another world, or is it all just a case of over-active imaginations? By the end of this video you can make up your own mind.
In this episode, I'll share with you a collection of real stories, from witnesses claiming to have met Slenderman, Werewolves, Black Eyed Children and even a Pigman here at Cannock Chase in Staffordshire.
The report will also touch on a horrendous serial killer case from the 1960s. Known nationally as the 'Babes in the Ditch Murders' it reminds us that some monsters do in fact come in human form.

Next to castle ring, is a scout camp called Beaudesert (now an outdoor activity centre). Scouts & guides were warned upon arrival of black eyed children and not to engage with them. Alistair the warden making the warnings was a very serious god fearing Christian. Initially you brush off the warning ad Alistair trying to put the willies up us for night time..
Turns out he was right, an any scout or guide that camped there over the early nineties would have regular experienced these black eyed children.
This wouldn’t be difficult to source first hand accounts from the now adults that experienced this.
But it was at one point quite normal, especially down by the manor ruin.

Where I live forms part of Cannock Chase. My garden backs onto fields there. I have seen the puma twice once running and once stalking. I have also seen Slender man whilst walking my dog in the field one early Autumn evening. I was so scared and the experience still haunts me.. I wrote about it and it was printed in the Fortean Times paranormal magazine.

I go over Cannock every month to lay flowers as one of the young girls was my relation.. It's a very eerie place at times.. Great video only just come across your channel...
Stories of subterraneans coming up out of old mine vents to hunt. Taking Dog's and deer.
There was big cats releasing during war times when meat was hard to come by and yes definitely after the 1976 dangerous animals act.

Yes absolutely awful, he is a true monster for sure! Perhaps their spirits are still there, I've read articles where people have suggested the black eyed girl ghost is one of the victims - so sad

I would not have believed that humans could change into animals, had I not seen it with my own eyes. All I had to do was bring a girlfriend home, my Mum would suddenly turn into a rottweiler!😲

Cannock chase is renowned for supernatural activity. Could it be a collective belief in certain supernatural entities, slender man for example could draw on residential energy and form a tulpa.

Google tells me it's 2,684 hectares, or 6,640 acres

I was born and raised in a village bordering the Chase. Nobody I know has ever talked about any cryptid

@@TheWanderlustWayisback met a couple of ppl who swear they have seen big cats.bi would there to be a cryptid or 2 as some home town pride but just can't see it it's 30 square miles of pine plantation

@@Jamie_pugh1985 Rugeley has some ghosts of its own, the town is on the edge of the chase. The Bloody steps and Palmer the Poisoner are a couple of stories to look into.

That was a really amazing video. Lionel Fanthorpe, that takes me back, I used to watch a TV show he hosted. Wolfman with Anthony Hopkins was partly filmed at Chatsworth. At the end they burnt it , CGI. Very respectful moments in the video
