Cannock Chase - for reasons unknown - is thought to be a hub for paranormal activity, with sightings including the infamous black-eyed children, UFO's, aliens, and even werewolves!

I live not far from Cannock chase, I've took the road from Rugeley to Cannock a number of times over the years, once while heading to Cannock I saw in a gateway, a woman standing there in what looked like a wedding dress.
Hi guys, great video! The growling noise could have been a stag or deer. Cannock Chase is famous for having plenty of them, and they are so quiet when moving that its very possible one could be near you without you realising.
Stags and deers make very deep grunting noises that can sound like growling. Lots of videos on youtube to demonstrate this.
As I said, great video, but just a potential answer to the mystery noise 😊
This was such an insane investigation! Loved it then and loved it now. I think that red light was trying to lead you somewhere. And not for anything good. Look how deep into the woods you were led.

Didn’t you see the purple orbs at 32 minutes there was 2 of them. Excellent night in the woods scary a.f
If you go back, try visiting the great war camps (WW1) as well as the German War memorial. Theres plenty of info online with lots of history. Around 30,000 people a year passed through each of the two camps. Now nothing but earthworks out on the heath and among the forest. Its quite remote out on the heathland so should make for some good footage!
I just got to the part of that light above Karl’s head, that is something to do with the ufo happenings, the red light, humming, Sulfur smell, then that light, which seems to completely light Karl up as though it’s gone inside him and made him glow gold from the inside out then, notice the diamond pattern at the bottom of the light, it’s facing the direction of the face on his shoulder.. it’s like it’s a projector, and it’s projecting a man’s face onto Karl’s left shoulder.. and not sure if anyone else agrees, but Karl’s face and head has completely changed in that photo.. one last thing, unless his back pack sits way up even with the back of his head, if you turn the picture on it’s side so Karl’s left shoulder is upwards, you can see a man’s face , just above his left shoulder is a big face and , it clearly looks like the face of a man with dark hair and a handlebar moustache, almost a handle bar one that exceeds and runs down the side of his lips, and he has thick black eyebrows.. I think that light was there to show you all what the man who murdered the kids looks like.. it’s definitely not paridolia, because it’s above shoulder height, it’s like someone laying their head on his shoulder but the wrong way around.. its a man with a moustache and looks in late 20’s-30’s or early 40’s.. tip the photo and enhance and look on Karl’s left shoulder.. I believe that light was to reflect the face of the murderer.. odd it came directly after the laugh of one of the girls.. also at 33.02, just before the picture is taken, I see a small but very bright blue coloured ball of light on the screen just a little but not too far in the distance, and it’s there from about 32:02 and stays for a couple of seconds..
Definitely a face behind Karl's head and that child's laughter jeeze I would of crapped myself. Great investigation guys
Thanks Nikki, we almost did! 🤣 We've seen many comments about a face - are you referring to the full spectrum photos towards the end? There was one of Owen and one of Karl - Karl's had what we thought to be an inverted cross shape above his head in the distance. Is this where you can see a face also?

Anyone else hear someone or someTHING tell Karl to 'shhhh' @13:07? ( or is this one of the Sean's?) Then the gal responds 'yeah' @13:11 to his question! @13:27 I hear 'won't tell'. I only hear 2 words, not 3 or 4. I can't put 'you' in this one short of imagining it there. When you reduced the speed on replay., it really clarified it for me. MAN I ❤️ Cannock Chase investigations! And boy have I EVER missed you 3! You's were born to investigate together. Your puzzle pieces fit perfectly!
Thanks a lot Daphne! It seems you have sharper ears than us! As with all spirit box and EVP's, the sounds can be distinguished differently depending on accents that people are used to hearing etc, but we display what we hear and agree on between the 3 of us. That's of course not to say that we are always correct. (This is also in response to another of your comments).
@@DarkTerritory I am very blessed (and very thankful) to be able to hear sounds and voices underneath a lot of 'noise' without a great deal of effort, it's true. And I agree 110% regarding deciphering spirit box verbiage. I never consider accents coming through, unless I hear the accent in that moment, and a UK accent did not phase me here. LoL I could be wayyyy off considering that! I have heard accents in different sessions here and there and am usually surprised at the location they present themselves in! Please don't think I'm saying what I heard is right, not by any means. I watch on my T.V and will cover the bottom portion of screen when I'm in the deciphering mood - so not to hear with bias ears (as is so easy to do). I had time on my side - to rewind plenty, and play with different speeds. I find hearing 'in the moment' very difficult. I Second guess myself all the time, When I DO note what I heard, 99% of the time I"m way off when comparing playback, You 3 are amazing at it! I type what I make out , and explain why so others can understand how I got there. There's a handful ( a little community basically) of us who post what they hear, and then compare with what the others post. It's like schooling in spirit box deciphering.LoL I can't count the times I've questioned what I posted against someone else's notes. And there's times when I hear whatever I am listening for! When spirit is really quiet or annunciating softly it's difficult to agree with myself on what is said! LoL . I watched this episode all night. (hand to God) I HAD to force myself to stop posting so I could get to the end of the episode! I left about 20 minutes out. I did hear a bit more, BUT, better than that, I SEEN something. Well, I seen a couple of things, but after evaluation, I found one WORTH noting! It's close to the end, at a time when all 3 of you are crawling outta your skin you're all so uncomfortable, and just might have found out why. Now don't judge, I'm no editor, but I am working on cutting and posting the clip as I'm excited to share my finding with you all. I do Love this location, and you 3 in there was the TOP OF THE POPS for me! God help me if you DO sleepover there! I'll post when I manage to get the clip up. I'm so glad you've come back, although something about these episodes are like Deja-vu. I've been checking frequently for new uploads, and even tried to rewatch some of what you had, but they're not on your channel anymore (That Ram Inn with Karl (i believe blinded was AMAZING). That was excellent the evidence of the Forrest was very creepy, looked like no one had been there for some time the red light might be from a bad spirit the inverted cross also a bad sign the picture of it above your head to the way it was coming down towards your head toe looked like a bad spirit floating right above your head . Good thing you left when you did you could've been in a lot of danger if you hadn't found the way out. Never over stay your welcome, when your told to leave, LEAVE!!! I have lived right by cannock chase all my life and have been lucky enough to see that yeti with glowing red eyes, however ir didnt growl it screamed like it was prehistoric, i reakon its got something to do with the spacecraft that was recovered from the area in the 60s

Sorry guys. I'm almost 100 % sure what you heard at the 9 min marker was off some.After a handful of rewinds and speed play @9:00 I swear I hear 'felt good'. I read you picked up 'that bum'. We both heard 2 words, but how I got felt good was breaking it up. The beginning I find the ffff sound quite easy to hear, and the 2nd word seems to end with a hard ''d' sound. THere's SO much goin' on there, i have no idea how any 1 of you's could concentrate on listening to the box! Hell, its taking me forEVER to get through this episode, and I'm lovin' it! Not freaked out dealing with the fight or flight response for hours! How you do that i'll never know. I dunno if I'd go there in the dayLIGHT hours - never mind . . . . .

The lights are fascinating, people all over the world see them in the wood and in graveyards also. Extremely cool and the one over Karl definitely was not a upside down cross.

years ago me and a big group of friends camped here, we saw some strange things but because we was all drinking we all brushed it off the next morning. So far this is my favourite of your investigations!

I paused screen @5:24 because as it passed by, a confused feeling washed over me. Now I know why. A defined split is caught where the 'alive' or green forest ends and the black or 'dead forest' takes over 😳 . Talk about creepy!

Caught a mimic! He says 'guys' @11:17! Anyone else notice @11:23, a shadow takes over the left side of the screen as Sean is scanning over the forest looking for what could have made that noise. (use the center tree at this time to judge 'left side')Sean's light is moving w/ his shot yes, but it sounds like all 3 guys are standing still. COULD it be 1 of their reflections?
Damn, this is a great video. The things above their heads in the photos look similar and if I had to pick from the paranormal world I'd say it looks alien.
It was once used as a druid place of worship and sacred pagan site as well as an area where people once lived. I have done a private investigation in the past as I was asked to try and find out what is going on as a physic medium. I had quite experience but still to this day I can not debunk 8 foot dark shadow figure as I camped in the woods as I was living on the road at the time and still do. To this day even watching this video I still cannot work out what is going on in those woods
That's really interesting! Certainly glad we didn't encounter an 8 foot shadow figure! The druid/pagan sites would make complete sense though, I think we stated on the episode how through history how many different cultures will have came through these woods. Scary place at night!

The humming sound you heard would probably have been a moth flying close to the mic. One was caught near Sean's camera as well as Karl's. Your camera lights would have drawn them in.

Elemental, reptilian or possibly lycanthrop/werewolf, given the growling and stalking. Portals open after severe trauma, given the horrific murders took place. Keep em coming. It seems to me you was on the old Brindley Village site. Originally it was a hospital for the injured at the military bases on cannock chase then it was used for ex ww1 shell shock and gas victims. After this was closed in 1924 it became a colliery and families were housed there in huts hence the children sounds. After it was closed in 1982 trees were planted and today it is virtually non existent.
We've actually heard of that site before, although we saw no trace of any ruins along our route. Didn't realise that had such a history though, that would be interesting to try and find, assuming that we weren't near it on this occasion! Thanks for sharing!

This is where a thermal imaging camera is needed so you can see the heat signatures of animals and potential other humans in the area that may be lurking. 👀

My mum and Aunty had a very similar Encounter with a ufo when they were younger and had two other people verify their story as they seen the ufo hovering over a car with two young lady’s which were my mum and Aunty and is recorded in the sightings records here in Australia, at 6:30 I heard that entity running up on you’s that was freaky and them growling noises omg 😱 that was definitely a very scary night glad you guys got out safe 👌🏻👍🏻💙💜🇦🇺

At 33:01 just before your friend said there was a glow above your head and that was so weird, there were 2 bright blue/purple lights right up in the sky, I don't know whether that was the night sky showing inbetween the trees or it had something to do with the light above your head.
A few people have commented on the blue lights now Kat, we'll have to check it out!

there's a big military radar tower in that region. Causing all kinds of weird stuff. Also it probly has a red light on its top antenna for warning aircraft.

Omg we are getting spoilt ... Another episode of your awesome show. I love Karl's videos and I love these episodes with you all in them. Such great film makers and brilliant true investigators. I suppose that day you had to be careful as the negative spirits who reside in that area could of been trying to lure you all deeper into the forest so you could of got lost. Its just a theory and a bad thought I've just had but there was a negative spirit that hated the spirit box being on and didn't want you all there that night. Could that humming sound be an insect or was it linked to that red light you all saw on Karl's video and what own saw first? You guys ought to have left the bear with a camera on it to see if it moved at all ... that would of been awesome. Omg those photos of Owen and Karl ... that's crazy but not Sean as it wasnt affecting him. Your investigations always leave you at the end of your seat ... brilliant thank you so much. I've seen all of this first season twice before but wanted to watch it again .... Cant wait for the next one ...

Myself and my fiancée have just watched this and at 6mins in we both nearly had a heart attack. 4 days ago we visited birches valley forest ctr, and we were walking through a bit of woods that can only be described as trees in a vineyard formation, long uniform rows of trees, and my fiancée suddenly stopped walking and in complete shock she told me that she just felt someone slap her on her backside. We laughed about it and carried on. Fast forward 4 days and we watch this video together and are completely shocked to see the same thing happen to you guys! The face that was caught behind but on the side of the doll, I don't believe it's a reflection of the doll bouncing off of something, only because the lips of the black eye apparition the lips are more in a frown position. And there's something a little more airy of the face as well then compared to the doll.... apparition

There’s a scout camp (now an outdoors centre) called Beaudesert. A guy called Alistair used to run it. You would be warned on arrival that you will see black eyed children and not to interact with them. Especially down by the old ruin or castle ring. As a kid you initially think he’s just trying to spin a yarn to scare you. But over the years of coming it was quite a common occurrence for all. It was ultimately just accepted.. anyone who camped there annually in the 90’s as a scout or guide in the would confirm what I’m saying as normal. Happy to share a few experiences if interested.
Just my opinion but the spirit box is terrible as a viewer. Spoils the vid for you guys.. way too loud..

That would truly be an amazing experiment. It's hard to describe how dark it gets outdoors without street lights nearby. That would be a brilliant section for a future episode. :-)
the chase as locals call it has alot of very old settlements that were doted around the area ,dates back to stone age and iron age ,the lord of wolverhampton woud send unruley soldiers to be sent out into cannock chase ,was and still is a place of fear ,locals will not go near the place as light goes ,everything from spirits ,shapeshifters strange energy with the woods so many murders over time early ones i found were from the 1550s and then in1640s to modern day ,a very active area
