  • I've never considered myself a good runner. In fact, for the longest time, I absolutely dreaded it. In high school, I was heavily overweight. At my heaviest in 2011, I was 240 lbs on a 5 foot 6 frame. 98 days ago, I set a goal to run a 7 minute pace per mile half marathon. For some this may be an easy goal, for some it may be hard, for me it was the hardest I've ever had to push myself. Here's the story of my quest for the 7 minute half marathon.

It would be nice to see a video on this channel about your weight loss journey and how that influenced your cooking and your mental health. You can get glimpses of that through your cooking videos but a nice story told this way would be amazing!

I'm currently training to run a half marathon too! And to say the least, this video reeeeally inspired me. A lot. I was training to run a half marathon in Mexico City, but the pandemic also ruined that for me haha. The thing is, I gave up when they cancelled the half marathon, and just continued with my online semester from home. I recently started running again, my times aren't as good as they used to be, but I was optimistic to just get my body used to run long distances without stopping and going for the half marathon. And then I came across this video; your weight loss story is similar to mine, I really connected. I meassure my distances in kilometers, you ran 1 km in approximately 4.3 minutes. That's insane, my current time is a consistent 6 min per km. The time limit really scares me. But I gotta give it a shot. To think that finding a video gave me the encouragement to try something insane baffles me. Thank you, Ethan.

It literally takes my 10 hard minutes to run only a mile and I'm exhausted. I don't know how runners do it, great job man.

Hey I ran the marathon in Athens!
    It looks easy on paper.
    It brutalized me.
    I tried to break 3.
    My first half was 1:27
    My second half was 1:40
    I’m fixing for redemption myself
