I love it, nothing better that installing a diesel in an older truck, they should have been built that way originally. I have a 1976 Ford F250 4X4 Crew Cab Highboy with a Detroit Diesel 4-53T..
They didnt do factory highboys in a crew cab right? Ive only seen single cabs.
@pepep.3058 Ford did make F250 4x4 crew cab highboys 1967-77. The info is easy to find online.

I want this truck. Always wanted to do a diesel in my ole 77 250 4x4. Unfortunately I sold it after 28 years of ownership.

What a great truck! I am so glad I bought a 96 f250 crew cab with a 460, it is just great!! these trucks are just amazing!!
I had a 96 F250 4x4 crew cab, I would have preferred the diesel but the 460 had lot's of torque also.
@@johnt9906 Yeah, there is no way I could have afforded a 7.3L, they go for 15k to 25k in my area with 200k miles so the 460 works just great. Plus the towing is equal from the 460 to the 7.3L the main gain would be better fuel economy.
@@johnt9906 I have a new to me ‘77 F250 that’s currently in the shop. What kind of MPG does a 460 typically get?
