I was there and I fished the Big Rock Tournament. I know the ruling and even as a participant fishing against them I will whole heartedly always believe that Sensation won. They are an awesome crew and they deserve that glory.

I totally agree I go every year and my nephew was on the boat sensation the worked there ass off ,hell all the boat teams did

ANY fisherman that fishes off shore knows very well that hooked fish often gets either attacked or eatin by sharks or even other fish . If the sensations fish was legally hooked , than thats it !!! No one can know if it will be attacked or even eatin at any particular time . As long as the Marlins stomach wasn't mutalatted nor any of the fishes vital organs , than you can assume it was able to fight for its life as hard as it could !!! the tournamant officials seem to think that if its hit by another preditor its automaticaly mortally wounded !!! I feel it was a very bad call by the tournament officals !!!

I have read over and over this ruling is very unclear exactly on mutilation. If you cut your finger a slice it’s not completely mutilated, it is same with a couple of nicks to a fish, unless guts are hanging out and the fish was already dead and you cheated! These guys fought for 6 hours and unless better pictures show me otherwise the rule needs more clarification! You are Winners (Sensation)!!!
