My favorite Ukrainian trait is that you always find reasons to smile and find joy no matter what. You've been invaded and reduced to rubble about twice every century, but here you are. Always hopeful and enthusiastic. Some day the planet will learn its lesson and just let you guys be farmers. Respect and love from a random guy in the US.
Tania , thanks for taking us along to another beautiful part of Ukraine . and it was nice to see you taking a small break away from Kiev to relax . i will visit Ukraine God willing , and one area that interests me its the Zakarpattia side . Stay safe . 💛💙
Greetings Tania, So good to see you getting about, A supertrain journey to a city with fabulous culture, DYAKUYU Tania, Take care, please, SLAVA UKRAINA 💙 💛 🌻🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
Passt.
Hi Tania, omg you have no idea how much I love your vlogs! ❤ I’d love to visit Ukraine someday and explore such beautiful places 🤩🫶🏻 Thank you for sharing this with us ❤
Thank you very much for making this vlog. I weep for what all of you have gone through in the last two years, but I appreciate you showing us something beautiful from your country. One day, when this war is over, I hope I can visit Uzhhorod. Greetings from Boston!
Beautiful Country. Fantastic scenery and architecture, also good people. Video good as always my friend tania, good filming👍. I cant wait to go to ukraine and eat :) thank you for sharing 🙂 You are looking amazing my friend. Take care and enjoy your stay Fox
We live in Uzhhorod with my husband now who is foreigner and we prefer it over Germany. For our families it sounds crazy but we actually happy that we moved here. It’s not without challenges of course but it really feels like a right place for us.
Grooving to Earth Wind and Fire at the end was a nice touch. The City of Uzhhorod should pay you for showing off the city. How many train stops are there from Kyiv to Uzhhorod? Btw, I like Hungarian goulash 😃
hahah thank you! I went on a 12-hour train, the first stop starting from Kyiv was in Lviv (in 5-6 hours) and then there were several more stops in the small cities in Zakarpattia. But also there is 19 hour train which scares me because I think it stops at every village :)
@@TaniaKovba Hi again Tania. Back here for an off topic sports note. Ukraine can now claim an NBA champion (Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk from Cherkasy). The Boston Celtics, my team forever just won and he was draped in the Ukrainian flag at the award ceremony. He played in a reserve role all season. I'm kind of curious if Ukrainian TV or print media is going to pick up on this. Slava Ukraine!!
@@johnpasquale7095 that's wow news. yes, sports media here is talking about it today. But I would say not so much because everyone discusses Euro2024 football matches and the first loss of Ukraine :) Mykhailiuk is the second Ukrainian NBA champion. The first is Medvedenko. By the way, Medvedenko sold his champion rings at an auction and sent money to the Ukrainian Army. I know about all this cuz my husband is a basketball fan and roots for Lakers, a "friendly" team to yours haha :)
@@TaniaKovba I looked up Sasha's stats and didn't realize he played multiple years in LA. Another Ukrainian played for Boston, 2000-2003, Vitaly Potapenko. He is a coach with Memphis now, I think.
Nice little holiday, thanks for the trip. The place looks like a mixture of Austro-Hungary, the Balkans, but also Slavic wooden buildings and a baroque church. Seems to be at the crossroads of some cultures, empires and architectural styles. Prices are insanely low - in Denmark, you can hardly look at a hotel for 40 dollars pr. night. And a meal for 6 dollars. Half a cup of coffee here ... And women trains. In Denmark, there are no sleeper trains. But if there were, it would probably be considered discriminatory towards men if they were banned from women trains. We also have many genders, so would be quite a mess.
Thank you! I am aware of the crazy prices in Denmark. Copenhagen is in my travel list but I have to save money for a year or half for the trip there lol. We had many cases of sexual harassment on night trains that finished with impunity. so it brought the idea to offer one or two safe carriages on the train only for women. other carriages are for everyone
@@TaniaKovba If you plan to visit Copenhagen, using hostel or bnb might save you a little money. But - my idea would be: with all these Ukrainians now living around the world, why not make a site, where you could swap or offer cheap housing in private homes? With fellow Ukrainians, who know the location. E.g., a Ukrainian family wants to go on holiday for a week, maybe go back to Ukraine for 14 days. You can then borrow their flat, or maybe a single room, while they are there. That way, expensive places would be easier to visit. Restaurants, yes, expensive, too. But you can save a lot with supermarkets, take aways, et cetera. Transport ... bikes are used all over Denmark, including Copenhagen. Sexual haressment - well, maybe we are more relaxed when it comes to genders. For example, some military barracks have shared sleeping quarters. Seems to work o.k. Both sexes have the same conditions, as they would have in a trench or unit in times of war.
