Good to see again Tania and it's nice to see that your channel is steadily growing. Ukrainian hot dogs are very functional, sort of a pouch compared to ours in the U.S. where it's horizontal on a roll and quite messy. Sorry about the fine. I usually cruise at about 9 mph over the limit and hope the police don't "light me up", that means they put on their flashing signal lights, stop me and issue a ticket. Your home cooking as always looks so good. We are getting snow tomorrow in Massachusetts Oblast.
Thank you! Vertical hot dogs are popular here - they are very simple, I prefer them better than horizontal. Regarding fines, the biggest enemy in Ukrainian roads are cameras which catch everyone. it's funny that you used "Oblast" :)
Regarding the tree lime: lime is a fungicide and helps prevent wilts. As for being a pesticide, that may well be true, but I can't say for sure. Great video, and I love that you got such a good fashion haul deal!
So glad to hear from you. Even a 5 minute vid is reassuringly better than nowt (nothing) to know you are safe & well. $5 for a speeding fine! What deterrent is that? Here in UK it can run to hundreds of £s, but the real fear is 'points' on driving licence. You are allowed up to 12 points on your licence, over that, your licence is taken off you for a amount of time stated by the court. It's good that you have taken time to get away from the constant air raid sirens, for your mental health. May you stay warm & safe.
@AnthonyValentine-vm1yc Good point on how speeding tickets are the gift that keep on giving. In the U.S. that will automatically jack up yearly insurance rates, and then with enough infractions driving privileges are revoked.
the points system you have is great because it makes you think about losing the license. I think, we also should have stricter punishments for speeding in Ukraine
hi Tania,in the uk if caught speeding you can pay a fine and have points on you licence or take a safty caurse not to get points ,i think if you get 6 points you have to retake your driving test to get your licence,i never got cought ,i know coffee is cheap there and it tastes good ours is expensive and taste bad ,we have used cloths stores but called charity shops half the money goes to charity but there getting expensive now ,good market, stay safe and take care
Thrift stores are very trendy in North America at the moment among people who object to fast fashion. Trees are treated with lime to prevent insect damage to the trunks, fungus infection and sun scald damage. I’ve seen cashew orchards with white trunks in California. I’ve never seen Zefir in Canada or the USA, but I think people might like it.
Interesting. By the way, thrift stores in North America are selling for charity only? I mean is it the same that second-hand store? In Ukraine, few thrift stores raise money or spend their profit on something good, a lot of second-hand stores are just businesses.
@@TaniaKovbaOne study estimates about 500 secondhand stores in North America are “for profit”, which means the vast majority are charities with people working there as volunteers. The charities donate money to local groups and/or international causes. Most people will avoid the “for profit” stores but others either don’t know the difference or don’t care. Secondhand clothes collectors will sell bundles of clothing by the pound to Eastern European and African countries for resale. Much of these waste” clothes are often the by-products of “fast fashion “. We can only hope some people find it more affordable than firsthand retail.
Hi Tania, for comparison if I was caught speeding 28kms over the speed limit in New Zealand I would be fined $230 😒, thanks for the update, stay safe, SLAVA UKRAINI 💙💛
Hi Tania, thank you for the new vlog! we worry when we don't hear from our Ukrainian friends for a while. En Kyiv los precios son caros, en la cuidad pequeno son mas baratos. Pero in general los precios para transporte, el alquiler, farmers frutas y verduras, medicamentos son muy baratos en comparacion con los países europeos
I have to say, that Ukraine is rather different than Denmark. Here the speeding fines depend upon how fast you drive. The ultimate fine is confiscation and sale of your car. Fines are incredibly expensive - e.g. a bus or ticket fine are at least 750 DKK= 100 Euros in Denmark. Is is possible to buy a small flat in such a town, looks cozy. Here you will never see painted trees, but I just come from Germany, where trees are be sometimes given numbers - small tags like "numberplates".
I think fines for speeding should be high and strict. I misinformed in the video a bit - in Ukraine also depends on how fast you drive. Before 50 km - 10$, over 50 km - 40$(with discount $20) but it is still very low fine. It’s possible to buy a small flat there for around $20K, I even saw one apartment for 14K dollars. Prices in such towns are very attractive 😀
@@TaniaKovba Fines are extremely low. If you forget to return your library books on time in Denmark, you could easily pay more (depending on how long you forget to return them) - speeding consequences can be much worse than delayed books, though. You must invent a good excuse - one foot bigger and heavier than the other, pushing down the speeder. What can do about that ? Flats are extremely cheap in Ukraine, but of course it is very difficult to compare - not only does location matter, but also age and condition of a flat. But of foreigners are allowed to buy or rent, it could be a second home or a place to retire (right now, another vlogger says, that even "unknown" Ukrainians are met with suspicion in smaller towns - fear of "Russian spies"). By the way, second hand clothing - try to go to Poland. Down there I have seen sale of surplus stocks from mainly German and British stores (like C&A and Marks and Spencer), i.e. not second-hand, but still very cheap as it is sold according to weight (per kilo). I think they call it "Odziez na Waga". And the Barkas 1000 bus - there has also been one serving as a bar or café at the Park Inn hotel at Alexanderplatz in Berlin. Incredible, as these East German buses are now 35+ years old.
@@aarhusnord flat prices are cheap until you check the prices in Kyiv and Lviv 😀that’s true - small town and villages in Ukraine are conservative and people mostly don’t trust newbies and foreigners. But when they begin trust you will be the most important person in the village haha Thanks for the recommendation on shops 🙌
@@TaniaKovba Major cities are always expensive. That's where the money are. A pity, if people are less trusting in smaller communities. When the war is over, all of Ukraine really has to be integrated into the rest of Europe. That will be the best antidote against falling back into the Russian zone of interest. Foreigners, foreign companies, relationships across borders, language learning, travelling abroad are all important, unless you want to become vulnerable again to hostile influence. Integration on all possible levels - from personal level to state level will be much needed.
I regularly get $235 fines for speeding. I'm only going 25 mph over the speed limit. If they wanted us to drive slower then why did they make speedometers that go up to 140 mph? And 4 lanes to speed on, like a race track. The far-left lane is specifically there for committing crime. Looks good there!
The Marshmellow delite. No not in my Country. Looks very nice ! Saving money is about stocking up with clothing. And growing your own food. You might want to plant a tomatoe up to the first leaves. Be careful showing maps of personal location. (Family). I received a message from a friend i was too bold on another channnel. I can never travel to Russia.
