For the dude at 37:00 - it is not very hard to register an animal as a service animal even if it’s just an emotional support animal. This dog sounds like he performs very important tasks. Service animals are exempt from no animal laws pretty universally.

I knocked doors for Nina on Saturday in the Glenville area. This is one of the hardest hit neighborhoods in Cleveland. Several homes on my list appear to have been vacated by court order in the past couple weeks. Some had the front door boarded up. Others had a master lock on the front door with an eviction notice attached to the door. So sad.

Jordan as a member of DSA Sacramento i am proud of the Cleveland chapter of DSA for fighting for tenants rights and for Status Coup News for covering this as people need to know their rights.Yesterday and today the Sacramento Tenants Union went canvassing today several apartment complexes trying to see which complexes would be good ones to organize.

The aid should only apply to renters that were affected by covid. If they didnt lose employment, income or hours is it fair that these people don't pay rent? not everyone is a multiproperty landlord some of us are living in owner occupied multi families
Being a landlord if you are working to pay your main mortgage or the vast majority of your only home is fine.
Being a landlord as your main or only income is gambling.

To employ all the maintenance personnel to up keep the property hire all those DSS employees to do routine checks. @@thebudmaster4116 Taxes for workers always get higher so I'm not against it actually helping people that aren't wealthy. Also private business doesn't do things more efficiently or beneficially, except extra profit. Not exactly speaking to the average persons concerns. The government is doing what the people that we the people let run it want to, keep making them richer and maintain their wealth. That's the problem.

You get people that were employed by the fossil fuel industry running the EPA into the ground then they say it doesn't help, it's destroying your jobs. BUT they leave out the fact because they've campaigned for defunding the EPA cannot fight to keep your water clean and cancer causing chemicals from being dump by these companies they will return to after running the EPA. Same thing in most places in the government. You know how much money the private insurance industry spends to get you scared so you can continue to get some of the worst medical coverage in the developed world?! It's good to get you to cut off your nose to spite your face.
This is way over most people's heads. Earth to DSA members, not everyone can follow all of these computer steps. Im 61 and I had to get one of my younger friends to help me with unemployment etc. Be REALISTIC! I have no idea how to Zoom and Im not alone.
Tye, I'm a couple years younger than you. But, you gotta learn some things in order to participate in the digital age. Age isn't an excuse. These kids are trying to help and this all they know. Cut them some slack. They aren't sitting around gaming all weekend. They are trying to help their communities. You found a friend that was patient with you. I'm sure that there's a help number on the pamphlet too. See 16:27 and after.
That's why they were told to give the older residents more help and show them how to fill out forms, join zoom, e.t.c.
I'm assuming you don't live where this DSA visited. There may be videos on UA-cam that will teach you how to zoom. You can also go to "dsausa . org" to see if there's a local chapter that can help you. I wish I had better advice and wish you much luck! 💜

The volunteers get the tenants' phone numbers to follow up later and walk them through anything they need more help with. They are trained in helping people set up their zoom hearings and have even met with people in person on the day of their hearings to make sure they get on zoom.

I think he has a lil social anxiety and was just getting comfortable with the conversation before making eye contact. I see what you mean at first but as the convo goes on you see him actually look at Jordan and stuff.
