Because of the cold weather, an appeal was made to leave cutting in June to help the bee's and insects that were struggling. This was after No Cut May. Hope it helped them
It does seem strange that the day after you posted your video they decided to cut it!, maybe someone on the council saw it as it's unusual to do a job like that on a Sunday, the tractor is towing a rotary mower.
Oh wow, do you know you’re theory could be right, who knows, I’d say they could’ve paid a local farmer to cut it, I think councils do do that sometimes and with it being on a Sunday - we’ll probably never know but certainly a suspicious coincidence 😊🤷♀️ I bet they watch sometimes cos there’s so many Blackpool vloggers and you lot do influence people on whether to visit or not xx
Also - I’m thinking…if the land isn’t council owned they could’ve contacted whoever does own it and told them people are complaining and requested it be cut or could it be the actual land owners saw your video 🤷♀️
@@Early100 I guess that could be true. I wasn't complaining, but I guess some locals could have complained. It does seem weird though that they cut it right after my video. I wanted to film the whole cut but I couldn't hang around.
@@michaelwaite6725 who knows, I think if they’d have kept just the edges tidied and trimmed it would’ve looked so much better as if they’d planned for it to be that way…where I live there are lots of roads with roundabouts that grow wild like this and most of the time the council simply keep the edges of them low and neat and it doesn’t look so unkempt x

I see, that makes sense. Thanks for the info :) I'm glad I got a video of it before it was cut.
That was a perfect habitat for bees and should never have been mown, I will write to the council.
Good job Hazel ,maybe if you hadnt paid attention to the field it wouldn't have been done.🥇
Very technical Hazel.....choppy Downey thing...lol..🤣😁
That is, I believe the correct technical term. 🤣😂

if its anything like the Glasgow council they will leave the cut grass on top to smother the grass below !

Coincidence anyway maybe they do watch your videos , will they cut the part that's encroaching on the footpath ?
