I tried FENTY hair and I like the products I used so far.. that being said.. I knew before the products arrived that it was a reparative product line so I wasn’t expecting supreme moisture. I was looking for strengthening/balancing properties to help my fine curly hair.. and it served for me. I will also say.. I feel if your hair doesn’t need repairing at the moment and your hair is in a good place you probably won’t need to use the entire product line.. you won’t need to start with a FENTY shampoo then move on to the conditioner or deep conditioner and the finally a styler.. many people simply don’t need that much protein.. instead pick a product that you feel would benefit you the most.. and then follow up with products that’s gonna bring the moisture. I think that’s how I’m going to use my FENTY products moving forward
I love this comment as some one in their 50"s who just learned how to really take care of my fine but full curly hair this comment was needed. This isn't an every week product line some things can be used more than others but you need to figure out where your hair is and what your hair needs. @@inoasf9075 who said they were a victim? We said that the Cecred launch didn’t receive as much scrutiny as the Fenty launch. Y’all wanted to see Beyoncé’s scalp to validate the line you were never going to purchase anyways.

Also, trials should be at least 30 days. Everything points to this launch being rushed.
@SheReaDelSol Just my opinion but I've been feeling this about many new natural brands: that they've moved away from high quality ingredients that nourish the hair in favor of styling. Nothing wrong with that, just don't sell me Dollar Tree formulas with cute packaging. I tried Cecred and was impressed, but I wouldn't be surprised if her styling products, if she releases any, will be similar because that's the industry norm now.
When it comes to the hate Bey receives vs the love Rih receives it irritates my soul… Beyoncé has shown us her hair several times, she has tried her hand at clothing & fragrance as well… Rihanna absolutely dominates in the beauty/makeup industry, but Sis just gave us two scoops of hair & we should just take her word for it…. Now while I will say that FENTY BEAUTY is one of my fav cosmetic brands, haircare vs skin/beauty IS NOT the same.. I adore how FENTY listens to the consumers & how they want to be inclusive.. they go above & beyond to be inclusive!! But we can’t do that with hair… I’m type 3C & the deep conditioner was definitely “I Love The Way You Lie” for me…. no slip & zero moisture..
I completely COMPLETELY agree!! NO SLIP NO MOISTURE, my hair has NEVER felt this dry!! It’s breaking off!! Not only can you NOT do a one size fits all in hair products but Rih is everything BUT a one size fits all (based off of savage x fenty and fenty beauty) so this line is such a disappointment for me. I will say though, this is the FIRST of her hair line, so hopefully other versions will be better. BUT, with everyone seemingly being dishonest for clout and for attention from FENTY, I’m worried those of us who actually have constructive criticism won’t be heard.
Loved, loved, loved this review. Very thorough and concise. Even though it was 31 minutes it didn't feel like it, it moved at a continuous pace and kept me interested. The editing was on point and your hair looked great. I'm glad you found some productss that you loved in the line. Thanks for giving us all the tea on this line so we can make informed decisions on whether to purchase or not. See you in your next video!💛
I’m so happy I’ve been natural for over a decade I already fell for the natural hair influencers! Trying to sell us products back In 2017. I found what works I won’t switch unless they stopped working! Thanks for always keeping it real even though I haven’t finished the video.
Leaving my thoughts here as the products just launched in Canada and I was just able to get my hands on/use them this past weekend! To start off NOBODY CAN EVER MAKE ME HATE EITHER OF THESE BLACK WOMEN! I’m so proud of them for continuing to lay a pathway for black women The only reason I purchased Fenty Hair instead of Cecred is due to costs and how long it takes for it to arrive in Canada vs. Being able to go to Sephora or purchase online and get the products quickly. I personally really loved the Fenty Hair products. I love the scent and for me (I have 4b/c hair) the products added a lot of moisture and softness to my hair! The shampoo feels like a staple for me and I loved how easily the deep conditioner applied and also def angled my hair. My hair felt very health after using the instant repair product along with the heat protectant. Again this was just my experience but I think I’ve finally found the products that will work for me going forward Thank you for sharing your review and thoughts! I love your honesty
I won't be buying Rhianna products solely off her hair or wigs don't look that good to me & her natural hair looks like it was damaged & had to be cut off. I think this is just expanding her brand & not about quality. I use Cecred & it's amazing tbh ... my hair never looked so good, cleansed, healthier, moisturized & it's repairing damage. Amazing review btw
I’m an environmental health scientist that watches lab muffin and I don’t think 30 people is enough and the length of the study is also very short. There’s so many questions to ask. Was the study double blind? Did people know they were testing it for Riri’s hairline? And definitely not a lot of subject with varying hair type, the sample size is too small. But at least they tested it.
Tried both Cecred and fenty and honestly Cecred is the top tier product by far! i wish they had stylers but the shampoo and conditioners are my staples for now.
I really enjoyed your review! I tried the shampoo, deep conditioner, edge control and homecurl and I didn't care for them. They smell AMAZING but I don't think my hair responded well to as much as it did to Cecred. I used the Homecurl as a twist out but it did not define it kind of just sat on my head. Cecred has really improved the health of my hair in the last few months. Even though it's a little pricey I like what it's doing with my hair so I will invest. I will use the rest of the Fenty that I have (because we don't waste products) but I don't think I'll repurchase. Side note: the edge control is not for the 4C girls!
I want to try Cecred & the new Fenty Haircare line. I have so much in my Haircare stash I really need to get through some of it first but will be trying them. Your reviews are so comprehensive & I appreciate that.
People say Rihanna is more relatable than Beyoncé but likeeee they’re both unrelatable 😂 Rihanna hasn’t given her fans the music that they’re wanting so they gatta take what they can get. Beyoncé is the quiet queen and any introvert bw knows we’re a target for no reason. Im not trying any. BUT if I had to chose I’d pick bey because she has the hair health and length and her mom own a salon for YEARS! People are just turning on Beyoncé cuz she won’t kiss their butts.
@@meekazanielle literally lol they people hate what they can’t destroy I Hope she never changes! Ask them what rih shared about her personal life!! They won’t give you an answer
Beyonce’s hair made me want to buy it (i wont cause I’m a $10 and under girlie) but rihannas marketing and branding fit my style more. I want to have fun with my hair, sadly rih’s hair looked lackluster during the roll out.
Well Rihanna was honest. She did say “not all the products will work for everyone, but there’s something in their her hair line products for everyone.”
@@SheReaDelSol just like your experience with the Fenty wash hair products. I have watched reviews where they felt that way about the Cecrèd shampoo and deep conditioning. Personally as a natural curly with 3c hair, I like to stick to the products with coconut in. That’s actually one of the best things for our hair and for me it never fails. I’m really enjoying your content, you’re super sweet.
@@SheReaDelSol And THIS is when you are exposed as a flea and not a neutral party you’re pretending to be. Why does it work on every hair type? Because it worked for you? If it worked for you and Fenty didn’t then Cecred would be to heavy for finer hair textures and 1-2 hair types but you want to lie for your queen. I’ve seen plenty reviews saying otherwise about that product. I hope Beyonce doesn’t ignore you next time and sends you something for your hardwork.
@@drinkup9835 Excuse me? 😂😂😂😂😂😂. I think both lines can work on all hair types. Did you watch my video are you just talking? Let me know! Beyoncé nor Rihanna pays my bills or yours. I've shared my honest experience using both lines. What exactly is the problem?
Although everyone is different, I’m also a severe allergy & asthma sufferer who happens to be blessed with migraines. I haven’t had my wash day as of yet, but I smelled every product just to see if that alone was an issue for me. It wasn’t. When I actually try it I’ll know better. I’ll come back to say when I do.
I’m washing my hair with FENTY right now while I watch your review. I love the shampoo and conditioners for sure. I have Cécred too, but I haven’t used it yet. ❤
I purchased on my own the deep moisturizing bundle well worth the price and you don’t need a lot of product… along with conditioner… I have hair just past my shoulder…4c hair type… I used it and my curls popped, shampoo needs 1 pump for my length and lather and smells good… I used the regular conditioner and heat protector… i love that you don’t have to screw on the top and her packaging is top tier… my hair was hydrated… my next wash I will deep condition and I used these products right after I colored my hair so that is an added bonus and I didn’t do a clay mask on my hair ☺️…. WELL WORTH MY MONEY….
Thank you for yet another honest and thorough review. I wish my girl Riri every success but I’m not buying any of that line. My hair thrives from moisture and hydration. I’m not dropping that soft, foldable money on smell good products alone.
Very detailed review which I appreciate. It really goes to show it doesn’t matter who is behind a hair care brand, what matters is if it works for your individual hair type and texture…… Hence is the reason why there is a plethora of hair care products on the market.
If celebrity lines work, I'm not mad at them. I like/used products from Pattern and Donna's Recipe. I'm not gonna try this out tho bc I feel like I've finally found my line-up 🤞🏼 love the vid so far
(LOL) I was laughing all the way through your video. I agree 100%! You hit on all points. Personally, if I had to choose between Fenty and Cecred, I would choose Cecred, Hands Down! Fenty The Home Curl Defining Cream would be the best for me. Thank you for sharing.
@@SheReaDelSolyeah I’m using both. Cécred shampoos and mask are chef’s kiss. If she had the hydrating conditioner it would be perfect. But I am using the Homecurl. I don’t love it but I’ll use it. I should have gotten the 5 in 1 leave in. This is the realest review I’ve watched. Great job.
I prefer Rihanna because she feel more connected and human to her fan, to me she sometime feel more easy to relate personality wise + she did a great job at marketing her hair line

Hey girl hey!! I absolutely love your product reviews!!❤ Im here for all the celebrities doing their hair lines, but I'm not buying right now since I'm a recovering product junkie. 😂 I'm clearing out my stash😂😂 Thanks for sharing though...truly enjoyed 😊😉
I tried Cecred because it seemed to be a "basic" lets get back to hair and scalp health for real line. I was open to trying fenty styling products because given her hair styling history I felt thats where it may shine. But I don't know how I feel about things not playing well with others. Especially when one aint enough lol. Oh and the scent thing always gives me pause lol. But if she drops travel sized I'll try it 😂
I was waiting for your review. I have seen a few others but I don't know them like that. Lol but I do appreciate the review still on the fence but you did help me narrow down what in the lineup to get if i do decide to get anything. 💜💜💜
Thank you for your honest review. I purchased the Edge control and the side stick. I am returning the edge control. It did not keep my edges laid and the smell is too overwhelming. It smells like an older lady’s perfume. I probably won’t purchase anything else from the line. I like Pattern products and Pureology & Mizani products. I can appreciate that Rihanna has built various successful brands but most of her products do not work for me. The skin care line dried my skin, I don’t care for her foundations. I like her lip glosses and love the savage Fenty line.
@@SheReaDelSolI think it's a whole demographic who doesn't believe that's Beyonce's real hair. When Rihanna popped out with her natural hair, people said she was one of us
I think it's becuz Beyonce was wearing wigs for years and when she finally wore her hair out it looked like it was a wig so people didn't believe when she said it was her real hair. I can't remember where she ever wore kinky curly hair, even in wigs so it comes off as her products being more geared towards people with wavy or loose curls. Which is not helpful when there is a whole demographic with kinky tightly coily hair that wants to support a black celebrity but feels they are being left out as always
This was wonderful, and I know exactly what products to try for my hair type. I recently cut off my locks after 20 years, and now rock a TWA. I love the fact that our sistas are creating products for US!! I love the Cecred Hair treatment mask too.💖💖 I look forward to seeing what the Fenty Bond leave in does with my hair
From my OWN experience, products made for “all” don’t work on my super coiled 4c-ish hair. THANK YOU for a great, thorough review. I appreciate your hard work.
I have 4c hair and bought the bundle and it was great… I did a regular wash no deep conditioning and I feel like you have to try it yourself because I didn’t get this content creators results…
I feel the same way about clothes, skincare and hair products with the one size fits all. The made for all skin types and hair types to me feels like it won’t work for me and once I try it I’m proven right.
As always great review! I always wait to hear your thoughts because you are HONEST and REAL! I'm definitely interested in trying some of these products. That gel I've seen the girlies do WnGs with and get good results. So I knew that gel wasn't good for a sleek look...lol!
it's funny to me cause usually, yall are in the comments telling creators they're using a product wrong, but everyone is giving these gel wash n gos a pass lol
@SheReaDelSol I think because most see the texture of that gel and side eye it for sleek looks...lol! It definitely gives custard texture which usually doesn't hold. I have loose curly hair and can see that isn't gonna hold my hair down...😩🤦🏾♀️😅
Love your videos and honesty. I have no interest in Fenty Hair but congrats on getting a PR box. Glad that you brought up the bias towards Cecred/Bey. Some BW have deep rooted issues with Beyonce and have done since 1999 so the hateful response wasn’t shocking. It makes me glad that Cecred wasn’t made only for BW. Either way, I’m here for more BW taking over the hair industry. I’ll be supporting Cecred and Pattern because they appeal to me and my hair needs.
@@SheReaDelSol some BW turn into David Duke when bey is concerned. Especially when it comes to her hair, they called her “Beyaki” and “seabiscuit” for years!! So I wasn’t surprised at the hate.
I used the washing products last night and I enjoyed it. I think the shampoo did give enough slip for me I have 3B/3C hair I think. But I was able to detangle with the shampoo which I thought was amazing! I didn't think it stripped my hair but I could say I do think it needed a tad bit more moisture especially since it's summer now but I think the deep conditioner was EVERYTHING. I think the regular conditioner is good I think without the deep conditioner it may not give me the results I'm looking for. But Overall it worked for me. I think with hair products I never really use a full line I think there is usually something out the line that people might repurchase to add as a staple. But I'm excited to try the styling products after I take down my braids. But always look at return policies. If you don't like it send it back if possible.
My issue with them all is that they all used coconut oil. Have we not learned already every natural can’t use that?! Still to this day haven’t used pattern because of it. Maybe I’ll just have to try cecred and be done
If for nothing else and this reason alone, I would rather #Rihanna, I feel relatable with her. I do not trust that other chick period point blank. I do not fancy myself to gravitate towards a celeb that is deceptive and has a sense of entitlement and do other women and celebs wrong. IJS IMHO
I wasn’t going to spend $30 for 8oz of product. Of course it’s $29 for 10 oz lol. Her line was just ok to me. I needed more moisture and slip but the smell was amazing. I need it in a perfume form. Also, I’m annoyed that I have to scan a QR code for directions. I’d give the line 7/10.
I returned the regular conditioner for the deep conditioner and the customer service was great and really accepted my feedback. They gave me a $15 credit.
Why am I more interested in what Rihanna has to offer than Beyoncé ? She feels more truly herself. I am not from the US, but beyoncé doesn’t feel spontaneous at all, I don’t who she is, she is selling me a narrative with no empathy. I am sure she is a nice person, but she left me cold. Besides I don’t listen to her music anymore, she lost me with her different styles. But it’s ok :)
Honestly when both released my initial reaction was that the hair care market is so saturated why do we need this. After hearing more about the reparative effects it got my attention. Maybe I just didn't hear about it but it came out of nowhere for me so I was definitely questioning the motivation. I think the surprise drop for music makes sense but with the hair care line maybe a little more teasing in advance would have made it not feel like all the other celebrity hair money grabs and people would have more absorbed what sets it apart. Although I think people are seeing it more now
You know why...the names of beyonce products...ritual shaking vessel?!?!? Wth....Rihanna product names are more down to earth...they both might be into the samethings-meaning witchcraft..but beyonce just puts it in our faces...it's annoying...
Thanks for the education about glycerin and the other ingredient you mentioned. The humidity of Virginia Beach doesn’t do well with glycerin in the summer.
Thank you for doing such a thoughtful and in depth review. I love the “sciencey” aspect of hair care, so this was right up my alley. I do not need any hair ANYTHING for some time yet, but I don’t think I’ll be picking this up, as I’m a gel girl, and if it’s not gonna hold, what’s the point. Also, who makes a curl cream and a gel that don’t play nicely together?
Honestly, idk what makes products not mix well. I assume it's the gelling ingredients?!?? I get the same pilling when I layer too many gel cream ingredients on my skin.
You got me pumped about the strengthener. I could see from your facial expressions as you were applying it that it was making it happen! I need to check it out.
One thing I love about her products is the site. Realistic product usage shown in photos are very important. She literally has a ton of different hair types and how the products, such as the curl defining cream, affects the hair. I literally saw my hair type like twice in the photos. That really got me because the way my hair struggles to curl properly and I have the most COILIEST 4C hair, my daddy literally called it Ramen noodles. So I'm like me of all people should NOT be struggling with curls. It's really what seems like simple things that matter with product releases. I do think she definitely should've leaned more into her exclusive Replenicore-5 technology. That would've really set her apart. We're smart and curious enough for a detailed breakdown. The way black hair has to be maintained through basically PhD Science to maintain Great hair health cannot be understated, we can handle the info. Also, thank you for all the research you do and all the knowledge you maintain, the info about the different types of hair bonds (salt and hydrogen bonds) was really helpful. I never knew.
Glad you feel seen in the marketing!!! I want this brand to do really well. I hope the team takes my feedback , along with others, and takes it to the next level.
@@SheReaDelSolThanks, and I hope her team does too. They definitely should take your feedback because you know exactly what you are talking about and aren't letting celebrity or freebies curb your expectations nor opinions.
As a loc'd girlie, I don't buy "luxury" haircare, outside of olaplex 3, 4 & 5, which I use monthly. Otherwise, shampoo is shampoo. I think people are more inclined to accept haircare from Rhianna, b/c she's established herself in the inclusive beauty space, where Beyonce felt more like a "celebrity hair care line" and a bit inauthentic. I'm not buying either line, but I can understand the different reactions.
@SheReaDelSol oh for sure! It's not the price point, my hair just doesn't require expensive product to thrive & flourish. I only use olaplex b/c it strengthens my hair after coloring. Otherwise, Kirkland shampoo & conditioner work just fine for my hair, as I don't require smoothing/detangling products b/c work against the locking process & gels cause buildup, which can lead to breakage in sisterlocks. When I was a loose natural girlie, I bought ALLLLL the products! 😊
So glad the trusted OGs have started dropping reviews. No shade to the girls who put out videos on the first day, but they were definitely giving infomercial.😞
I've heard another natural hair content creator say that it's not very moisturizing. She said this line is good for people who don't need a lot of moisture. Personally I'll be passing. Plus trying to get it shipped to where I live is too hard for something that is mid at best.

I adore how FENTY listens to the consumers & how they want to be inclusive.. they go above & beyond to be inclusive!!
But we can’t do that with hair…
I’m type 3C & the deep conditioner was definitely “I Love The Way You Lie” for me…. no slip & zero moisture..
Thanks for watching Rae!! 🫶🏾
I’m so happy I’ve been natural for over a decade I already fell for the natural hair influencers! Trying to sell us products back In 2017.
I found what works I won’t switch unless they stopped working! Thanks for always keeping it real even though I haven’t finished the video.
Thanks for watching love!
Leaving my thoughts here as the products just launched in Canada and I was just able to get my hands on/use them this past weekend!
To start off NOBODY CAN EVER MAKE ME HATE EITHER OF THESE BLACK WOMEN! I’m so proud of them for continuing to lay a pathway for black women
The only reason I purchased Fenty Hair instead of Cecred is due to costs and how long it takes for it to arrive in Canada vs.
Again this was just my experience but I think I’ve finally found the products that will work for me going forward
Thank you for sharing your review and thoughts!
Yes, I have so many questions
My stash is crazy too. And thanks for seeing the work I put in. I am exhausted from making this but I'm proud of it ❤️
People say Rihanna is more relatable than Beyoncé but likeeee they’re both unrelatable 😂 Rihanna hasn’t given her fans the music that they’re wanting so they gatta take what they can get.
Introverts always get targeted unfortunately but I agree , Beyoncé is hair goals that I want and I believe she really uses her hair products.
Wait, this is tea. I just don't appreciate the hypocrisy of it all, but who is me.
That part. They want Beyonce to share her personal life all of the time. Just so they can criticize her more.
Cecred has shampoos, conditioners and treatments, you in fact can use them on every hair type 😂😂😂.
She did say that
@@SheReaDelSol And THIS is when you are exposed as a flea and not a neutral party you’re pretending to be.

Thank you for the review as a person who has asthma and allergic to scent. I am sad i will not be purchasing. I was excited for this line
Maybe they'll come out with a fragrance free line! I don't think the scent is overpowering but I know it's stronger than a lot of products I've tried.
I really thought I was the only person with scent issues. Some scents literally give me headaches

I know there are people who will love them!
Glad to hear it!!! I can’t wait to use mine.

This review is EXCELLENT!!! Thank you for your deep dives. So insightful.
Very detailed review which I appreciate. It really goes to show it doesn’t matter who is behind a hair care brand, what matters is if it works for your individual hair type and texture……
Hence is the reason why there is a plethora of hair care products on the market.
Glad we have choices now!
I bought Cecred and I love it. I just ordered Fenty today and I can’t wait to try it. Thanks for your thorough review.

Glad I made you laugh. I was delirious filming this 😂😂
I'm with you there. I feel Fenty has the better conditioner but Cecred has the better shampoos. I will use them both

People are more likely to purchase from Rhianna because she has given us product. FENTY Beauty is quality. So people trust her products.
It's more than that, I think, but it is what it is.
Rhinna also more diverse with her products❤
Amika also has a leave in bond product I think it’s called the kure

It’s funny seeing the comments about relatability 😂 BW have made Whites, Asians and Arabs wealthy for decades and can’t relate to them.
I didn't know they hated her until my Cecred video. It's really disgusting
Thanks for sharing your experience. It will help others.
My issue with them all is that they all used coconut oil. Have we not learned already every natural can’t use that?! Still to this day haven’t used pattern because of it. Maybe I’ll just have to try cecred and be done
Again, I think it comes down to the formulation, but you know your hair better than anyone.
Great work! Such a thorough, informative, and entertaining review!
Thank you darling ❤️
I love your rating system omg 😂😂, very clever 😃
Ain't it 😂😂. I started it with my Cecred review and it's so fun.
If for nothing else and this reason alone, I would rather #Rihanna, I feel relatable with her. I do not trust that other chick period point blank. I do not fancy myself to gravitate towards a celeb that is deceptive and has a sense of entitlement and do other women and celebs wrong. IJS IMHO
Thanks for sharing.
We definitely need more moisture! And I also don't like the QR code. I was trying not to be petty about it but not a fan lol
I returned the regular conditioner for the deep conditioner and the customer service was great and really accepted my feedback. They gave me a $15 credit.
@@tnjones522 glad the return was seamless!

Thanks for sharing ❤️
I love the per oz comparisons! We gotta watch our coins in these shrinkflation streets.
Mehnnnnnn. Everything is so high!
They’re very very weird towards Beyoncé and Cécred. Im glad you pointed that out.
Incredibly off the rails lol
I agree! It’s toxic behavior.
@@helloalexa5035it really is. Not sure where it comes from… but it’s super toxic
Based on your review, I could see myself buying the cream
Yes the cream is good!
Thanks for the education about glycerin and the other ingredient you mentioned. The humidity of Virginia Beach doesn’t do well with glycerin in the summer.
I'd always see what other ingredients are in the products because glycerin definitely doesn't mean no hold.

As an olaplex girlie, if we can buy Olaplex, we can buy Fenty or Cecred, that's just my opinion. Thanks for watching ❤️
