The physics are way too advanced for its time , even for todays standards , the AI is amazing aswell , not the smartest but it sure does beat cyberpunk and i loved cyberpunk

Either game makers dont care as much as the previous generation of game makers or the budget for these games are low and they dont want to put time or money in making the game and just rely on fake marketing to sell the game and make a profit.

It's mediocre at best not just from the story, but gameplay as well. I was one of the people who actually tried to give this game a chance since the first trailer, maybe that's the Saints Row fan in me. The company behind Saints Row not only didn't listen to their fanbase, but they also made fun of them because of the poor reception after that trailer. Your consumers are what make you money, and they purposely pushed a lot of them away. It's also really not a trend people complain about video games just for the sake of it. People didn't complain about Cyberpunk for no reason... and I can name more games. When devs have a lot of time developing a game and it comes out piss poor, they deserve the criticism. These developers have become more and more lazy, covid is no longer an excuse.

Horizon Forbidden West and Elden Ring both have amazing attention to detail... Red dead Redemption 2 and The Last Of Us part 2 have some of the best attention to detail. It's getting better not over.

Saints Row 1 has tons of attention to detail compared to saints woke, in 1 you can rob stores, Canon ball into water, the playas chain moves around on his chest as he runs or walks, you can crack safes yourself, you can tag walls, enemies will pick up their guns if knocked out of their hands and much more
Back then they innovated with titles coming out u could tell the difference between certain games and the companies stood up to who ever came at their creation wrong, nowadays most of these companies have 0 backbone and fold up under pressure so they won’t “offend” lmao these are GAMES not real life people are more concerned about a fantasy virtual world instead of the kids lives lost in real life, war etc smh

The one good thing about Saints Row 2022 was that Microsoft once again put out Saints Row 2 with Games With Gold and I got it. Embarrassing that there's no fire damage effects when that is even in something like Gears Of War 1 from 06'
I LOVE the gta4 driving physics. It might be a bit floaty, but it gave the cars weight. Not the best for racing, but I hate when you crash into another car in a game and it just feels like two bricks went thud. I like t-boning vehicles and making them bounce across the intersection. It will encourage me to be careless. When it’s just two bricks going thud like it is in most games, gta 5 included, it just takes a lot of the life away from driving.
To be fair a shitload of these small details were actually _removed_ before they released GTAV. I hated how they overhauled the car physics, I mean I got used to it, but the first time I drove a car in GTA V I remember being really disappointed. GTA IV had amazing physics.
1 upside to not having the helicopters not almost instantly break against buildings is that you can be a little more reckless with them as well as make flying through a city with very little room to fly a bit easier
I always find it not fair when comparing gta iv physics with any game including rockstar’s games. The only game that has came close to gta iv is RDR2 which is another rockstar game.
The industry exists for competition. if competitors don't take notes and don't try to put out a product full of effort and love then they should be compared to older games that slaughter them, especially because since it came out everyone says "Saint's Row is just a GTA clone." San Andreas is probably where most of Saint's Row inspiration comes from, taking over actual territories in the map, the colour gang dynamic. The rest of GTA is too individual rather then gang Focused.
Nah, GTA V is fantastic, Cyberpunk isn't even the same kind of game, Watchdogs again is a different kind of game although a bit similar, and yes, it humiliates Saints Row.

Saints Row 2 had such a well crafted open world and attention to detail. Even Saints Row 3 was a regression in 2011. The reboot is even more embarassing.
Well I guess saints Row don't have havok ragdoll physics collision for character after crashing a vehicle or bailout (Note:havok is physics engine that use in nearly every game because it's open source)
I personally enjoyed the map in GTA IV. I liked them focusing on one city with lots of detail. The size felt great to me for what they were doing. That said, SA's and V's maps are so awesome to cruise through as you go from city to the middle of nowhere and back the the city again. I've literally just drove in a circle around the entire maps just for the hell of it, especially in SA.
The saints row reboot literally looks like a shitty GTA clone from the Google Play store. And they wanted 100 for this. And people are actually arguing this mess is better than Saints Row 2.

So a lot of people say gta SA was their first game but gta IV was my first actual game ever and I remember my mother being very skeptical about getting it for me. But I had to have beaten that game over 10 times it was the best attempt at NY city lifestyle AND for a child who had never seen a skyscraper ever it really gripped me in. I couldn’t play enough. I really do think the community lacks on giving this game the love it deserves. Rockstar should acknowledge it and literally you could make a mini Netflix series out of this game. 5:58 I like how real the cops act, they only shoot if you don't comply with an arrest or have alot of stars in GTA IV. But on the other hand, the exact same problem with Saint Row 2022 but on steriods is with GTA V.
I remember in SR2 if you have a human shield, they will try to negotiate with you to release them, unless your cop notoriety is high enough, then they will just shoot.
also the cops work in the same way on Mafia 2, unless you shoot them, run over someone in front of them or refuse to arrest (which you can only refuse or bribe) they won't shoot you, but if you push them or crash your car or even run at 150% the speed of light they'ill just fine you, obviously, if you refuse to pay the fine they'ill try to arrest, then you can only bribe or enter on a gunfight, mafia 2 had attention on some details but forgot others, but if i'm right, there would be many more things on the game, but 2k said "no, we won't have anymore delays"
GTA 4, you can slap a cigarette out of an NPC's mouth, and if you can find it you can pick it up and throw it at them. Same with cellphones and coffee cups. It's great. You may not see that sort of attention to detail in a GTA game again. Way more interior environments than even gta 5. SR 2022 looks like a 2012 game.
Saints Row Is Not Supposed To Be Competing Against GTA. They’re totally different games. The glitches and the unrealistic physics and mechanics gives the game uniqueness.
Not with the reboot though even the older Saints Row games like 1 and 2 had some level of "realism" to the physics that grounded the original games a lot more than 3, 4 or 5 3 did have some sense of realism to its physics and game mechanics but it still went way too overboard and the game having way too over the top action made it even more unrealistic the first 2

Even if those games are 2 open world games that takes different routes (and that's why we can see many difference because SR is way more arcade than GTA), It feel like there is not much effort put in the development of games this days... All they want to do is release them, and (maybe) add PAID DLC to finish it later.

To be fair a shitload of these small details were actually _removed_ before they released GTAV. I hated how they overhauled the car physics, I mean I got used to it, but the first time I drove a car in GTA V I remember being really disappointed. GTA IV had amazing physics.

1 upside to not having the helicopters not almost instantly break against buildings is that you can be a little more reckless with them as well as make flying through a city with very little room to fly a bit easier
I always find it not fair when comparing gta iv physics with any game including rockstar’s games. The only game that has came close to gta iv is RDR2 which is another rockstar game.
The industry exists for competition. if competitors don't take notes and don't try to put out a product full of effort and love then they should be compared to older games that slaughter them, especially because since it came out everyone says "Saint's Row is just a GTA clone." San Andreas is probably where most of Saint's Row inspiration comes from, taking over actual territories in the map, the colour gang dynamic. The rest of GTA is too individual rather then gang Focused.
Try RDR1, to this day is the R* open world game with the most realistic NPC reactions to getting shot, you can injure your enemies in varied ways.

Nah, GTA V is fantastic, Cyberpunk isn't even the same kind of game, Watchdogs again is a different kind of game although a bit similar, and yes, it humiliates Saints Row.

Saints Row 2 had such a well crafted open world and attention to detail.
Even Saints Row 3 was a regression in 2011. The reboot is even more embarassing.

I personally enjoyed the map in GTA IV. I liked them focusing on one city with lots of detail. The size felt great to me for what they were doing.
That said, SA's and V's maps are so awesome to cruise through as you go from city to the middle of nowhere and back the the city again. I've literally just drove in a circle around the entire maps just for the hell of it, especially in SA.
To be fair, a lot of detail mentioned (tires slowly flattening, picking up objects, water ripple effects) were omitted from GTA V.
Saints row5 is the worst game. They didnt put shit into detail.

Funfact. You ca actually fly out of the cars in saints row 3. Don't remember if you could do it in the 4th as vehicle usage was next to zero in that one.

So a lot of people say gta SA was their first game but gta IV was my first actual game ever and I remember my mother being very skeptical about getting it for me. But I had to have beaten that game over 10 times it was the best attempt at NY city lifestyle AND for a child who had never seen a skyscraper ever it really gripped me in. I couldn’t play enough. I really do think the community lacks on giving this game the love it deserves. Rockstar should acknowledge it and literally you could make a mini Netflix series out of this game. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS GAME I AM SO SERIOUS the damn story mode is totally rockstar in their prime and don’t get me started on them DLC’s that add even more to the story element. Gives the same feeling as gta v before it was even a thing

I remember in SR2 if you have a human shield, they will try to negotiate with you to release them, unless your cop notoriety is high enough, then they will just shoot.
also the cops work in the same way on Mafia 2, unless you shoot them, run over someone in front of them or refuse to arrest (which you can only refuse or bribe) they won't shoot you, but if you push them or crash your car or even run at 150% the speed of light they'ill just fine you, obviously, if you refuse to pay the fine they'ill try to arrest, then you can only bribe or enter on a gunfight, mafia 2 had attention on some details but forgot others, but if i'm right, there would be many more things on the game, but 2k said "no, we won't have anymore delays"
GTA 4, you can slap a cigarette out of an NPC's mouth, and if you can find it you can pick it up and throw it at them. Same with cellphones and coffee cups. It's great. You may not see that sort of attention to detail in a GTA game again. Way more interior environments than even gta 5. SR 2022 looks like a 2012 game.
Also, Niko's hand to hand combat skills are great compared to any other GTA or Saints Row game if you know how to use and time them.

Saints Row Is Not Supposed To Be Competing Against GTA. They’re totally different games. The glitches and the unrealistic physics and mechanics gives the game uniqueness.
Not with the reboot though even the older Saints Row games like 1 and 2 had some level of "realism" to the physics that grounded the original games a lot more than 3, 4 or 5
3 did have some sense of realism to its physics and game mechanics but it still went way too overboard and the game having way too over the top action made it even more unrealistic the first 2
