Thanks for sharing this video. I had one just like it in highschool, only mine was Poppy Red. What comes to mind watching your video are all the hours I spend cleaning, washing and waxing that car. My dad was a WW2 combat Marine and he insisted I keep it "squared away." Perhaps someday I'll go looking for one to have again!
Amazing video and car !! Love it ! I wish those side 64 1/2 vents weren’t there, they are not supposed to be and don’t look good on the fastback. Other than that this car is superb 👌 thanks for posting
did somebody notice the position on the side mirrors there not like the others this are to in front, I don't think that is part of the original specs but it's so awesome car congratulations for your new car
love the car but some things stick out that are not correct. I first noticed the honeycomb grill being painted silver. it is suppose to be a factory greyish/blue color.it looks very awkward to me in your front end driving shots being that silver color. I would 1000% change this to the correct color on a K code car. many mustang restoration stores online sell the color for this in a can. Also the quarter panel ornaments behind the door only came equipped on coupe and convertibles, never on a fackback. I am in shock for whoever restored this would cut holes in the quarters to add these on a K code Fastback.
I was wondering too, I guess they don't say? Some kind of blue it looks like. Couldn't tell if it was a dark green or dark blue at first. Looks dark blue, I like it.

These cars do this to us!
I bought a 72 mustang coupe two days ago, best purchase of my life!
Congratulations!
Gorgeous Fastback. I own a 1970 Pontiac Firebird damn I love her
Oh beautiful!
Had a 65 mustang 2+2 k code factory front solid 4 piston disc brake cast iron caliper and cast iron 4 speed ,great performance car.
Dream car 🤤😍
Good taste!
@@GastonRossato honestly modern cars have nothing on classics
He staring at him 😆
Great video! Had no idea what K code meant till I saw this haha. Keep up the awesome vids
Thank you! We sure will.
Awesome car !!!! Awesome job!!!
That fuel line routing is terrible. 1:45 You could probably buy a new line with the correct bends.
Beautiful!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed.
Are you talking about the spot behind the windows?
@@erictalkington5674 I think he is talking about the quarter panel trim piece behind the doors. Fastback Mustangs didn't get those.
@Jon Gib not the vents but the Louvers behind the door. Not supposed to be there
@Jon Gib yes ! And yes the vents do make the 65-66 fatback. Best part of the car imo
Omg she’s beautiful and a K-code geeeez 😍
The actual story starts around the 4:00 point.
Thanks for watching

Beautiful, looks like Caspian Blue color...is it?

Interesting. Thank you
Ugh that looks so cool :0
What color is that?
Shouldn't there be a "High Performance" above the 289 V on the front fenders?
It does have High Performance on the emblem. But they said drum brakes the front were disc. I had a K code 2+2 Gt when I was a kid.
mine had factory disc brakes
Interesting...huge option
Beautiful car 👍 🙏
Thank you! Sure is
Don't go too fast. Those drum brakes won't stop ya. Especially if it is a hot day.

K Code Solid Lifter 289,271 h.p.Base Eng.for the Shelby GT350.

@@edcain3676 that is obviously not the door tag of that car. It has red paint around it
Is the k code a big car or is it quite small
It’s small for today’s standards, but a standard size in general I would say
hot damn brotha!!!!
Thank you
I can hear you guys are not experts on Mustangs. Beautiful car and cool video though!
We certainly are not. Thanks for watching.
where's the rally pack
😍
66' in my garage.
No. One drives like. Gaston
Thanks for the view
$45k?
Why did you buy it?
Because it's fucking bad ass.....
For real, that's beautiful. Love the color. Looks like a dark blue?
Thank you! Yes, it’s dark blue

If it is a genuine K code car, it should have front disc brakes. Something is very suspicious about this car.
WRONG ON MANY ITEMS.....TRANS, BRAKES, ON AND ON.
Sorry and thank you for watching
Needs disc brakes.
67 68 are turned into eleanors..not the 65 66
Thank you
