I'm so damn glad we're finally getting season 2 of Smiling Friends.
The two year hiatus was absolutely DREADFUL.
I know what you mean but I'd imagine it takes a long time to create each episode and to have each one be so well executed. I'd rather it take a long time to release and have thought and care put into it like it is than have it pumped out rapidly and be really bad and generic, becoming the very thing it makes fun of or becoming another lazy family guy rip off.
Being patient can only mean that you will be rewarded in the end

I love how they crammed every game related buzzword in the title.
I also love how Holoopee, a well known online 3D animator, made the models for Gwimbly and the other 3D characters in the episode.
Very glad too see they're still having people from the Internet work on the show.

Here's $5 to see Gwimbly's iconic victory dance. I love this guy, a late 90's platformer mascot who's company hasn't done anything with them for ages is something a lot of people can relate to. And the way Zach and Micheal portray the matter with Gwimbly is genius. I love how we all agree He's always been here, and the greatest video game character ever.

Since they're actors it makes sense, it's sort of like Danny Devito and Arnold Schwarzenegger joking about being beaten by Michael Keaton at the Oscars. I also liked how Troglor wasn't evil and was just staying in-character
The puppet episodes they released on April fools were a real treat and shows how much this community loves those guys I can’t imagine how long those few episodes took to record

I remember owning the DS remake of Gwimbly which included bonus features from the Dreamcast version sadly I misplaced it. Even there were rumors about a 3DS remake that would include original levels however it was cancelled because it was at the time Nintendo was no longer releasing 3DS games.

Michael and Zach deserve every ounce of succes theyre getting with Smiling Friends. It feels like this show single handedly is raising the bar for "adult" animated shows for the years to come.
Also seeing Gwimbly again was a total throwback, i remember unlocking him in Crash Bandicoot 3 and beating all the time trails with ease.
The best thing about him is the unconcealed hatred and violence he wants to inflict towards the CEO.
Gwimbly taught me that each totem on the pole is a symbolic representation of one family.
He's got a prolapse I'm very confident.
What I like about Gwimbly is that he's the first client of Smiling Friends to be weird but still genuinely likeable and relatable. The likes of Mr. Frog, Shrimp, Desmond were mostly strange or creepy for comedic purpose while Gwimbly really felt like a real character.
The idea of Gwimbly in Wreck-it-Ralph is absolutely perfect!

Oh yeah! I remember playing a community made level in LBP3 based on gimbly! There was a platforming section where you jumped from rooftop to rooftop, a puzzle section where you hade to make a song by hitting garbage cans, and even a shooter-based boss fight where you shot trash at the renevators that wanted to turn the suburb into a residential district.
