I watch Kayla and yourself on my headphones as I do my own sorting, researching and photographing of items that I get from abandoned lockers in Australia. Last night I found a soap stone figure which is something that I would not have known without your videos. You have taught me so much! I love watching the two of you. ❤ Happy Thrifting.
As a Canadian subscriber, I recognized both Canadian coins in the jewelry box and CDs from one of Canada's most iconic musicians, Gordon Lightfoot, who passed away last year. It's fun to see what you find whether it's thrifting at Goodwill, finding treasures at yard sales and/or diving into the storage units!
Gordon was such a talented songwriter and singer. Hits like Sundown, Wreck of the Edmund-Fitzgerald, Carefree Highway, If You Could Read My Mind, Rainy Day People, Talking in Your Sleep... So much music, which to me, never gets old.
That wooden box that you thought was for a desk top filled with men’s stuff is actually a men’s jewelry box meant for the top of a dresser . My husband had one for his dresser .
Bobo Newsom was a MLB starting pitcher born in Hartsville SC in 1907. Hwy 151 (that runs by the Darlington Raceway) is AKA Bobo Newsom Hwy. Everything around here is "Newsom's" (appliances, landscaping, etc).
I agree with you, DVDs are the way to see movies now.. Some of those movies are awesome.. Yes ~ Profit Day for Sure.. ~ Towels would be welcome at ANIMAL RESCUES.. 16:06 mark is Not a Duck, It's a LOON.. Minnesota knows them well..
Muggy weather? It has been absolutely glorious in Wales today. Molly moo helped me in my garden. My hydrangeas and fuschias and peonies and roses were desperate for water. Another lovely day forecast tomorrow. Won’t last long though! Love sitting in my garden, radio on and Molly keeping me company.😊
Your opening find in this video has me excited: The matting wasn't cut poorly, the picture behind it had shifted: Either it moved when the frame was put down HARD, or more likely someone opened the back of that frame. You need to open that picture and look inside - I found $18,000 hidden behind the matting in a frame I found in a storage locker.
Look through the CDs carefully - at 48:29 there is an Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Tea for the Tillerman - that's a $50 CD, check the comps. Where there is one MFSL, there may be more.
@@beardedthriftmachinemy suggestion, get a cheap barcode scanner and scan all the media. Grab an entry level sub to one of the scanner apps like Scout for a free trial and just go to town scanning. Will help you quickly sort through and identify valuable media since you have a ton to go through.
At 48:29 you uncovered a special CD. Tea for the Tillerman by Cat Stevens. It’s a reissue from a company called Mobile Fidelity, they use original masters to try to get as close as original as possible. Probably get $50 for it easily. Someone will pay $80-90.
Hi from Minnesota Land of 10,000 Lakes👋That duck is a Loon!!😉Our state bird, the Loon has a beautiful call. You can hear them on every lake all across the state.
Great content from a great team! I love watching your videos, and the fact that you’re Christians are a definite plus. I’m a long time viewer just a first time commenter 😊
If the print or painting is worth some thing, it’s actually really easy to get rid of the waves behind the glass. You do have to take the back off and do a little work to it but it’s pretty easy you can Google how to do it. I hope it’s worth something. Storage lockers are such a treasure hunt and so much fun. Great video 😊
Omygoodness... I'm a dork, I didn't finish the video !!! And totally explained the little magnetic lock for the wooden box!!! Sent you a link and everything...lmao! I'm dying over here. Laughin' so hard I'm cryin! 😂
The ten shillings note is a series A - between 1928 and 1961. It might be of considerable value, and the same might be true of the pre-war German note.
Laughed myself silly on the CDs.. They were packed so nicely until you got your hands on them.. You needed to get one of the stored Empty boxes for your overflow.. Lovr the Loon (or as you called it, "duck'.. Nice Art Work, too.. Can't wait to see the rest.. Sad Sofa. Can it be cleaned easily?? ~ The Watch at the 39:49 mark made your Profit for the whole Day!! $2,360. is Amazing!
Use a paint brush to clean off that wicker table. Use a paintbrush to brush on baby oil. You will be SHOCKED at the restorative power of baby oil. Anything wood, baskets, rattan, etc. Don't use mineral oil, it's too thick and gets gummy. The baby oil is absorbed, I let it sit overnight, use an old sock to wipe down what you're working on.
I already loved you guys but you sealed it with you liking Elton John. I went to the famous Elton John Concert at Dodgers Stadium in 1975! (I'm showing my age) I was 15. I also went to the recent Elton John concert that was at Dodger Stadium in 2022.
Sell the VHS at your booth. I put an average of $2.50 on generic stuff, $4-$5 on the rarer stuff and $7-$10 on the really rare. I make an average of $100-$200 a month on VHS alone. That is if you don't lot it up and sell on line. LOL, loved the episode.
That bank note you showed at 46:22 is a German pre WW1 50 mark note when Germany was going through a period of hyperinflation to the point where the money was dated to the actual day it was printed as it would lose value by the next day, sadly they aren't worth much even now, but a nice collectors item.
The oil painting is not ruined because of the little cracks... if that were the case, many, many paintings in museums would be ruined. Either sell it as is or find a conservator of artwork to look at it.
It was a while ago…. You said what kind of leather cleaner you use… has a great leather smell …. Also wanted you and your wife to know that you have surely impacted our lives….. I have watched you for a while and have been selling stuff… it feels great to see stuff sell !!
My daughter and her girlfriend went to a concer 20:16 t in Clemson 25 years ago and Kenny Chesney was one of the acts. Now she and her husband went to a Kenny Chesney here in Northern Virginia. Said he was really good 25 years later! You guys are so cute!
I've just discovered you two, and I'm enthralled with your treasure hunts (I call them treasure hunts because you DO find treasures). I deal with vintage linens; some are not terribly valuable, but are quite beautiful. Other pieces are beautiful and quite valuable. But the bottom line is this: Everyone is looking for something that is personally special to them, and you never know what that 'special' is going to be. You know what I'm talking about. That one ugly piece that you nearly threw out can be the first sale of the day, and the person that purchased it is thrilled to death with their new treasure! I subbed and can't wait to see more of your videos. Many thanks for making them; I love learning about all of this stuff - it's fascinating.
Great unit!! Do not underestimate VHS tapes and cassette tapes! Any horror VHS sell very well, even the more common titles. Keep up the great videos guys!!
Now I need to go to my safe deposit box & see what silver coins I have in there. When I was a kid in the early to mid 60’s, I used to get silver dollars & half dollars as a birthday gift. I have a few & haven’t checked the value of them, & other coins I have for a long time.
Most of those Cards were between '65 and '70, some were not in the greatest shape but still worth $20+ if you get lucky (since you didn't show them all) some of those 65 cards can be worth $500+
When I worked office jobs, the longer I was at the job, the more personal items I would accumulate. Cycling clothes, work-out clothes for going straight to the gym after work, favorite coffee mugs and dishes I donated to the kitchen. I also kept toys, for when my clients brought children with them.
Same for me. With 37 years at the same place I definitely accumulated a bunch of “stuff”. I was also the one that kept newspaper articles about the business or different special ads highlighting the employees, and took pictures or videos at our different events. Everyone loved looking at those & reminiscing about “the good old days” when I retired.
Be sure to check the cd at 48:29. It looked like a MOFI pressing cd. It had the “original master recording” on the top. Typically those are worth some good money. Love your guys videos!

Cracks like that in oil paintings aren't uncommon and that doesn't ruin the painting. They often occur with age. It doesn't mean you have a valuable masterpiece either but don't discount there might be some value. Just google cracks in oil paintings for some info.
It is always a roller coaster of emotions watching your storage unit videos. I hope you find a million dollars worth of stuff and get ten milllion views of the video. Thanks for sharing.
Plea as you were going through the CDs I saw Elvis CDs I would be interested in buying those from you I have a 13 year old granddaughter who is obsessed with Elvis the real Elvis
12:40 Why do cassettes still sell? Old cars with cassette decks is one reason. And there are still a lot of cassette players around. Cassette players are quite durable.
Ricky Nelson! Really! Ricky, his parents, and brother had a sitcom in the 60's! AND he thought he was a good singer but what the girls went for was his looks. Girls used to swoon when they saw him perform in person. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! Man, I'm old😢!! Mack the Knife is Bobby Darin, again, from the 60's. Thanks for music that took me back to my teens!
Don’t hit those big old bumble bee’s...they are the golden retrievers of the bug world and won’t sting unless you really go after them! If you come across wasp’s-then pull out the flame thrower! 😂
I love watching your storage video's and yes some of those do have gold in them. My son owns a scrap yard and when he first started it, I use to go up on Saturdays and help out, my job was to take those apart and separate all the internal pieces including the gold.
Way cheaper to do dvd’s! We rent them free from the library and they even have a tv section so you can get, for example, all current episodes of The Chosen and binge watch! They even have new release and documentary sections!
Great videos I do similar buying selling also...one thing common in the UK is a gold pocket watch will often have a gold watch chain so never discount them.
Wow wee wow! Great find in the box under the coins. Elgin was an expensive watch back in the day! AND, I believe the Kennedy half dollar coin may be worth something.
An old 10 bob note! A 10 shilling note, that brought back memories of my birthdays in my childhood! Love the blue £1 Pound note - worth money! Love watchng from the UK!
Definitely lots of good items in that unit. The last unit i bought I put the couch/chair on Marketplace and priced it to move. Sold it BEFORE I left, don't get that lucky every time. A lot of people, including myself had a music collection on one media(i.e. vinyl) and when the next media came out they had to try to duplicate there collection on the NEW media. Looks like they were a huge music fan. GREAT finds in that wooden box. Keep Hustlin'!!
some towels are money too, but yeah I used the ones that arent to wrap up breakables in house and cleaning with. I got a sweatband from temu, put it in my freezer and transfer it to my cooler for garage sale days. 1964 for silver That box, and watches is awesome! Grateful Dead can be great! There is an 80 box set that is on my bolo list goes for about 2k Bakelite poker chips? Film will be trash. Dad will know all the cds. Napster was a great deal, you are talking about people who went from vinyl to 8 track to cassette to cd to...WE got tired of pay again and again to listen to music!
🙋♀️ you pretty much described my music journey except I never did Napster, etc. Vinyl, 8 tracks, cassettes, CD’s and now back to vinyl sometimes. Love all of it!
Can always donate towels to animal shelters, no kill shelters, pet cafes, etc. Love watching you and Kayla. You both are knowledgeable, love the banter between you. Take care, have a blessed week.😊
The Disney VHS movies are said to be worth good money! Wished I lived closer to go the flea markets that are down there! Live in Massachusetts & we don’t even have good wills locally! Thanks for sharing your cool finds!😀
The Elgin Pocket Watch is a railroad pocket watch. The inside of the case may be marked something like 25 years 10k Gold Filled. The other little pocket watch is probably swiss and 18k gold. The Jules wristwatch is probably 14k either solid or GF. But that little haul will pay you back way more than what you spent on the locker. Great pick!
Thanks so much for watching! I know this a looong video

Did anyone else notice that the owner stored the cd’s were in alphabetical order?
All the towels you all find can be donated to animal shelters and hospitals. We always were thankful for towels.

1964 for silver

Grateful Dead can be great! There is an 80 box set that is on my bolo list goes for about 2k
Bakelite poker chips?
Film will be trash.
Dad will know all the cds.
Napster was a great deal, you are talking about people who went from vinyl to 8 track to cassette to cd to...WE got tired of pay again and again to listen to music!
i bet - i mean and all the stuff you had to play it on changed
🙋♀️ you pretty much described my music journey except I never did Napster, etc. Vinyl, 8 tracks, cassettes, CD’s and now back to vinyl sometimes. Love all of it!
Can always donate towels to animal shelters, no kill shelters, pet cafes, etc.
Love watching you and Kayla. You both are knowledgeable, love the banter between you. Take care, have a blessed week.😊
Actually cassette tapes are making a comeback! Mack the Knife was sung by Bobby Darin.
Not a duck...it's a Loon, Canadian coins and artists. Thank you for sharing.
Great pick!
i was able to get the back off the elgin thank you! 10 g.f - 590
You made a valid point regarding streaming. I’m trying to figure out why I even bothered getting prime.
It cracks me up that Julian always gets the heebee jeebees in storage lockers 😅 and used to be a cop lol
