  • I haven't run this in a very long time. Sadly, I also broke a front driveshaft U-joint. But not before hanging on for one more climb. It's on the bench, wheels up at the moment, waiting for parts. But that doesn't mean I didn't have some fun with it before it broke. That said, this is THE FIRST thing to have go wrong since I got this rig and I have absolutely beat on this thing.

For real. I've run my Bully II on 3S the entire time I've had it. The difference in hold that it has on 3S compared to 2S is night and day. You can't even do the same lines on 2S without having to totally retrain your driving habits.

I find the single servo steering to be really bad! How did you set up rear steering? I mean, does it have fixed positions?

Bastens 4WS module. It works with any 2 or 3 channel radio. It has four modes *front steer, *rear steer, 4 Wheels Steer, and Crab. I run this with a 4 channel Dumbo radio so I have Channel 3 dedicated to switching modes but you can use the module with even 2 channel radios. I recommend no less than a 25Kg servo for the rear. A 40 or 50 would even be better. It gets weighted heading uphill and likes to get bound. It's proportional, what the front wheels do, the back does. If you want channel mixing, you need to run a radio that's capable of dedicating a knob or switch for function.

I'll say it again, non scale usually out performs scale

It all depends on what I'm going for. I wouldn't put my Bully II in the dirt like I would this but I also can't do even a tenth of the technical lines the MOA can do. That said, there is no fun to be had like the RC4WD TF2. I can cut some lines in that truck, for sure. If I could have only one rig it would be a tough call between my TF2 and Bully II.
