Big fan of yours. Appreciate the detail, humor, and general energy! So, thank you always. I am USA owner, of 2019 e-tron prestige, for past two months. Some small owners observations. Disagree. I believe: 1. Haptic screen buttons are not annoying. Fantastic, actually. I mean, I can use them while wearing thick gloves. Nice! 2. Conventional buttons are NOT cheap. That is about the only advantage over a Tesla: this car is more luxurious. 3. Gear selector is intuitive upon living with vehicle. 4. Huge door bins are sort of stupid. Could have done a better job of locking-in (compartmentalizing) bottle, napkins, cleaning cloth, etc. Agree: 1. Glove compartment is long, deep, but low height. 2. Arm-rest space is weird. But actually, big cups struggle to come out. And yes, small cups get grabbed. Agreed. 3. Some materials (wraps) are cheapish. 4. Acceleration is nice, but not 'ludicrous'. Quibbles: - Why 3 screens?? I tend to turn off the middle. The middle could have readily accommodated the climate control (3rd screen). - Steering wheel buttons should have been on lower spokes. I constantly fat-finger their upper placement. - Charge remaining is consistently wrong. F*** off, Audi. (I know: depends on my acceleration. Still though: piss off, VW.) - Oh, this feels like an upscale VW. I think BMW will smoke past Audi once it's broader range goes electric (2022). - Cost of charging on road is readily twice as much as gas. We are in Wild West of how much charge stations can get away with. (At home calculation: assume 25mpg for comparison. And 17 cents per kW. So, that, at cheapest is $0.10 per mile. At cheapest.) - (And forget about it if you amortize cost of new service panel, and charger: $2,500) - WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE A HEATED STEERING WHEEL at US$90,000? Yes!! I am screaming, Audi. Love: + Slightly exhilarating acceleration. (5.4s to 60mph sounds right.) + The haptic buttons. + That I actually shut up and listened to the children that want us to respect their planet, and reduce our gas consumption. Recommendation: ! Wait another year or two to buy a luxury electric. This one might be better than Jag and Tesla. But that isn't saying much. ! Maybe get a Tesla just because Elon Musk moved the needle on these shameless manufacturers delivery of alternate energy vehicles. ! If you get an electric car, please embrace the obvious: install home charger before you pick up an electric car. Must do!!
Have you guys got the 2020 CLA Coupe review coming soon? I have 1 on order and you always learn more about the cars in these reviews that you never would normally find out.
My dad Owns an E-tron with camera door mirrors and it never felt off because if them they will just flip in.he also haven’t hit a cyclist and after a week it was normal for him to look in to the screens.
It's all down to preferences. I chose the e-tron over model x because it's got a more luxurious and silent cabin, offers a smoother ride, doesn't have crappy American build quality and panel gaps, and doesn't look like a pregnant Prius. To me that was more important than range and acceleration. And because Audi charges $$$ for options I could actually have gotten the x cheaper, so it was not a financial decision.
Try putting the wing mirror adjustment knob in the position to adjust the near side mirror when selecting reverse. If it works like my Q7 then the left mirror will dip down to view the kerb. This design then gives you a choice if you want this feature or not e.g. when reversing down a narrow street I want to use the mirrors in their normal position...
I must say that I'm really impressed by the turd I mean... E-Tron. The interior looks nice, there is rooms of space and things are just well thought-out. I was a bit bored with Audi's line up the last couple of years but his seems very promising.

If the powers of be wants everyone to go electric, then I ask, where are they going to extract all of the precious metals, needed for the batteries? The damage done to the environment will be huge.
@@nothingmuch.3014 not as harmful as gasoline and lithium mines are actually not all that bad. Its the cobalt that is bad but luckily tesla who actually take this seriously are constantly working to decrease the amount of cobalt their batteries take. In the 2013 model S 15% of the batteries material was cobalt, in the model 3 it is just 3% and the new cell technology they aquired through buying maxwell technologies is said to of eliminated the need for cobalt completely so things are looking good. The verdict is correct, this is the most luxurious electric vehicle available at the moment however you do feel a bit shortchanged with some of the things you get. I have the launch edition which is the top end version (£80k+) that comes standard with the camera mirrors, panoramic sunroof, 360° cameras but even that doesn’t have soft close doors or rear heated seats or even a 4 zone climate control which is a bit crap. Also the audio system is just adequate in terms of quality of sound. That being said on a daily basis, it’s a good cabin to be in. If you are looking for the most efficient electric vehicle -Tesla is still ahead though it feels like a school bus when you’re sitting in the model x- they really need to work on the fit and finish.
The Audi e-tron. Now you can hog the middle lane _silently_
And the "recognisable " front is still high enough to say "GET OUT OF THE WAY" at 1 metre behind your car!
Funny thing. Etron also sounds like a “log of shit” in french
Matts got some complaints about broken load covers lol
I can't believe you pay so much and yet keyless entry and go is optional! My 2004 Nissan Micra had it as standard equipment!
Lol your Nissan looks crap and not as high tech
@Sky Nation
That’s the point, dumbass.
Keyless go is standard. Only keyless entry is an option. Still shouldn't be, but yeah..
@@ariqnabil8063 of you read my comment it's past tense. I don't own a Micra now.
@@CheddarB0b I have the new DS3 Crossback La Premiere which has proximity entry and door handle deployment. But all models have keyless start, but keyless entry is only on the top spec like mine.
If you're gonna put keyless start in a car, you may as well add keyless entry too.
Big fan of yours. Appreciate the detail, humor, and general energy! So, thank you always.
I am USA owner, of 2019 e-tron prestige, for past two months. Some small owners observations.
Disagree. I believe:
Agree:
Quibbles:
- Why 3 screens?? I tend to turn off the middle. The middle could have readily accommodated the climate control (3rd screen).
- Steering wheel buttons should have been on lower spokes. I constantly fat-finger their upper placement.
- Charge remaining is consistently wrong. F*** off, Audi. (I know: depends on my acceleration. Still though: piss off, VW.)
- Oh, this feels like an upscale VW.
At cheapest.)
- (And forget about it if you amortize cost of new service panel, and charger: $2,500)
- WHY DO YOU NOT HAVE A HEATED STEERING WHEEL at US$90,000? Yes!! I am screaming, Audi.
Love:
+ Slightly exhilarating acceleration. (5.4s to 60mph sounds right.)
+ The haptic buttons.
+ That I actually shut up and listened to the children that want us to respect their planet, and reduce our gas consumption.
Recommendation:
Yeah I didn’t know that on my m4 you can fold rear seats until I watched and old review carwow did
@@zainmunir4324 I love the m4, what colour is yours?
My dad Owns an E-tron with camera door mirrors and it never felt off because if them they will just flip in.he also haven’t hit a cyclist and after a week it was normal for him to look in to the screens.
Have you heard about the e-tron recall in June where it was recalled due to risk of fire?
better safe then sorry. even with this fault it would have been safer than an ICE
@@jojodroid31 *Possibly safer. No one knows because we don't know where the fault was or if it affects the fire safety and contingency systems.

yes in the United States, but they recall everything all the time.

I think the e-tron just can't compete with the Model X
AndiHmpf quite the opposite really...
@@fabianssteen4913 Why do you think that ?
AndiHmpf have you tried both of them to start off with?
Consumes 50% more energy per mile, has nearly half the range.
Tesla Model X 90D (orP90D) vs Jaguar I-Pace vs Audi E-Tron DRAG RACE, ROLLING RACE AND BRAKE TEST

I must say that I'm really impressed by the turd I mean... E-Tron.
The interior looks nice, there is rooms of space and things are just well thought-out.
I was a bit bored with Audi's line up the last couple of years but his seems very promising.
Been waiting for this carwow review for months!
I dont get why they make full electric SUVs, they are not made for long trips
Because people want SUVs, so they offer SUVs, that's why Bentley and Roll Royce are offering SUVs too
Until it's Tesla.
@@parag2804 no

Obviously you will take break while on road trip and so take that break at supercharger.. Simple !
As it happens, the first 150kw charger opened today! BP Chargemaster, Cranford.
Do people really believe that by buying a large 70k car - electric or not - they are doing something good for the environment?
Audi on the other hand is still at 15%, pathetic.
Tbh I've not really liked Audi's design language or it's interiors over the last year or so but I'd much prefer this over any of it's main competitors.
Ryan Kingston what about Audi’s new design language aren’t you too big a fan off? Genuine question
Is that not the car Iron Man invented?
You should do a review of a Audi e tron vs Jaguar I pace vs Mercedes EQC vs a Tesla model 3 or x.

Matt: She’s good but not as good as BMW’s Idrive
This car has hi-tech doors, can't pull the backdoor glass completely. Brilliant Audi 👌👌👌😂😂😂
12:34 So it has two charging ports. Someone please plug them both in at the same time 🙏🏾. It’s in the interest of science.
I've tried it and got an error message stating I should remove one of the cables to continue charging!
@@CheddarB0b Well, that's a rip. What's the point of having 2 when you can't use them at the same time?
RainMirron convenience
@@harrx0 I suppose. What would be super convenient is a charge time cut in half. I think it was an opportunity wasted.

Wow, must be the first auto recall ever?
In other news a Tesla exploded in a collision.
