Great review man! Mine is the 4.0L V6. This is a car which you fall in love with. It's satisfying to know it can drive you through hell and back home without hassles. It’s sad that such cars are not made anymore. Those who have this gem must retain it and pass it down for generations to come.
In 4 days I am going to buy my first Prado 120. 3.0 Diesel V6, 2008 for exactly the reason you described. I live in the south of the EU where the roads are in a catastrophic state - potholes and retarders at every corner. I'm changing to a Tesla and I can't wait! I enjoyed your video and the enthusiasm from Prado was very authentic! All the best! 👍 PS: I'm just afraid that I made a small mistake.. I told my girlfriend that she will sometimes be able to drive Prado and now after watching your video I'm thinking how to take my words back.. 🤣
This Land Cruiser Prado is bulletproof except with a 2.7L 2TR-FE Four cylinder, head gasket failures and underpowered vehicle and oil leaks and coolant failure and also not performing properly well, and I’m not buying this shit crap, but with a 4.0L V6 this is an excellent option engine. Got a good fuel and it’s good power and way way way more reliable and way more easier to work on. And this is why Land Cruiser all series excellent cars. Excellent review my friend
My dad first bought the one with the 2tr drove it for a few years and traded it in for the V6 4.0 its splendid power wise can't compare but I saw the 2tr can be added a supercharger and is quite quick....
Cam you please advise me. Planning to buy Prado J20 from the cheapest ones on the market diesel and than repair it or to buy Mitsubishi pajero 2008 gen 4 diesel and again repair it. Plan is to use it for family city car but from time to time to use it for fishing and going for hunting but not heavy offroad just leave it on some dirt road and continue walking. Which will be more reliable to use it in next 15 years with regular maintenance and repairs looking for comfortable cars capable to take me out of the mud and snow living in Bulgaria.
Hello Brother, I need ur advice. I have Toyota Prado 120. Patrol engine. Usually I change engine oil (10w 30) and filter every 5000 Km. But now 11 months and ~5500Km. We are in holiday and no service center are opened. Plan to go trip around another 500 Km. Is it problem?
