Very informative and useful. Prado is a fabulous suv totally worth it's weight in gold . European SUVs are luxurious but not invincible like the Prado.
Thank you so so much my friend. How knew tht Prados have a spare wheel acted as an auxiliary tank for extra mileage.Lastly who knew about the Markets as well where these LC Prados are manufactured.❤❤ (South Africa,Australia,Kenya & Japan)for different trims found in each state.I had an idea of the Japanese market however others was just clueless.
Great Video!! Really been worth it. It's rare to see well explained content from our region. I just got a 2016 Prado TX from UN that they were disposing of, and I have never seen a plainer prado in my Life!! It has cloth seats, is a 5 seater, basic suspension, manual seats, climate control isn't dual, No bluetooth, no touchscreen or reverse camera, and more. It's like a car made for soldiers. That is what sent me down this research route. I am curious about 2 things now: 1. Is it possible to get Original Toyota parts to add features to this car(reverse camera, head unit, sensors, and maybe suspension)? And would it be too costly in comparison to the after market parts? 2. How can I check where this Prado was built? Is there a way I can tell from the car's documentation? Thank you so much!
That car was built by a company based in the USA called zebrota. Note that all the UN cars are 5000cc, it's the strongest car and build to last, I have one at home a 2010 modle.
Common rail injectors are very expensive so diesel quality is very crucial.if you dont plan on towing ,doing serious off- road adventures or needing that extra Horse power for fast driving then 2tr-fe 2.7 is very okay.diesel maintenance for prado longevity is a bit higher than the 2tr-fe. 2tr-fe 2.7 is a very si.mple engine with very little to go wrong if you do regular maintenance.2.8 1g has turbo , common rail , EGR, some have DPF so if u can follow maintenance schedules religiously tgen you will enjoy your 2.8 1gd because it has better torque, better horse power and better fuel efficiency.
@0-60motoring. I meant TXL from Japan ordered with a rear mounted spare. I'll check the VIN number to confirm. Fingers crossed that the 2024 Prado (on the TNGA platform) retains the tailgate mounted spare wheel and the two-tank option.
Yes its not normally a straight line. Maybe the previous owner optioned extras from the factory at zero mileage. And yes, the active height control and KDSS bring a big difference not forgetting other stuff like better rims and a JBL sound system.
@@justinwambua5180 maybe you’re confusing the term fully loaded. There are some TXs, TXLs with fabric seats that are manually adjusted. Some don’t have a sunroof. A fully loaded prado doesnt end at the diesel engine. It also includes the extra features like electric leather seats which can be heated, cooler box, height control, rim size etc. just like the prado TX in the video has leather seats, a sunroof but its not fully loaded.
@@justinwambua5180 The engine can be similar but other features make the difference. Remember the different trims are graded according to features. At factory level, the TZG is way ahead of the TX for Japan cars. A VXL is advanced than a TX for local and SA market origin.
This is the most useful well explained video of the prado that I have seen so far.good job 👍

The UN prado is actually different from these ones. Bigger engine, basic stuff with steel rims

What's the price of the tx
First time hearing about Prado kakadu
Glad that you heard it here first😃
What type of low beam bulb does the Prada TX.L use? H11 or H9
You forgot the blind spot feature on the Australian kakadu
In the local market we only have 3 variants TX, TX-L and VX-L
The local assembly was analyzed to detail
Please say something about Toyota Fortuner 2016

It's a perfect alternative to Prado

Which is the best to have among the prados interms of fuel consumption, maintainance and durability
TX is the best
@@euginewyneswe wacha huongo. That's the lowest trim level
do we have txl kenya?
Yes many of them
So which could u say is longest, highest, biggest, largest trim of the 2023 land cruiser prado
which is the best
TZG, kakadu, VXL, Active...depends on origin
Awesome video the brightness control is way high
which one do you recomend the 2.7 petrol or the 2.8 diesel
2.8l diesel
Each has its strengths and weaknesses

Mine txl with 4000cc .
And the spare under the car ..
With sunroof and lether seats .. but without adjustable suspensions
This is a good one...4000cc 1GR engine
Hi guy? I want to ask you how much price for Toyota Landcruiser TXL , For new car , Or for secondhand ?
0790364599
I got the 3.0L D4D diesel engine from Japan.
I will own a Honda one Day
My TX-L is so different from how you explained it
I guess the Middle Eastern market is also different?
Yes its not always a straight line…others option more features from the factory
Amazing elaboration,,so basically there is no v8 in land cruiser prado trims
Yes no V8
7 to 8 different version same model. Insane
Very.
I drive a Landcruizer prado vx
Kakadu is my preference..nice review
Great. Thanks for the feedback. Kakadu is a good one.
Video quality top notch, 0-60 -> 60 HDR 🧐

I wanna know about the VXR trim?
I believe the VXR is the twin turbo 1VDJ V8 diesel 200 series.
Great explanation thanks!
You're welcome!
What about the vxr? You didn't speak about that
I want to trade in my 08 txl for a tzg
What's the difference btwn J120 and J150 etc

You can get a TXL with a tailgate mounted spare wheel too, it's not a feature exclusively for the Australian market.
That is clear. From SA or local assembly. Japan its a flat tailgate.

What is name top of the line for prado SWB?

Hey you didn't speak of the land cruiser Amazon
The Amazon is a bigger car
What about V8?
Which V8? Bmw, mercedes, audi?
The 1UR-FE v8 is only found in lexus gx460 (a fancier version of prado in the US market).in fact you can compare kakadu to a gx460
Great video,Get me a job please I can wash the cars, floors anything
There are no locally assembled Land Cruiser Prados.
I bet there's no difference (features) between the locally assembled VXL, the south African one, TZG and Kakadu. Only that the TZG has a flat tailgate
The sound system in the kakadu and tzg is jbl. Some local vxl don't have it.
851 Chadrick Meadow
212 Tromp Lodge
I have never seen kakadu
You'll see it
Bro my TXL 2016 diesel engine from Japan is full loaded. The only difference with tzg and vxl is the kdss suspension
