Chrome Update lost its luster for me when I spent $60 at at Dicks Sporting Goods for a mega box and the best card I got was Evan Carter RC refractor and a /99 nobody worth about $4. Wax is a joke for the normal guy.
What ruins the baseball card hobby is when companies like Fanatics/Topps & Panini etc put in a card worth lots of money & they charge outrageous prices for that product, it's bad enough to pay $40 for a blaster & over $100 for a common box of trading cards. Bowman plat chrome was always a decent product for its price. To me the current baseball releases should be out there by end of the baseball season. Agree with you on heritage, put in an autograph card in every box or for example 1 in every 24 fat packs.
Chrome Update was ruined by the criminal price mark up. This stuff isn’t gold and silver and shouldn’t be increasing that crazily from the initial retail price set by Topps! Add in to that people just absolutely hoarding the product so that us collectors can’t even find it. As far as Heritage goes, I love the product but I agree with the amount that sits on shelves. Maybe limit how much is produced? I love Archives as I like seeing older players on newer designs and newer players on older designs so with that I really hope Topps does not ax the Chrome Platinum!
Overpriced, and unvalued cards that really don't sell. Past years I have seen hyped players only to go back to the minors and not return. People paying big money for a 1/1 and kid again in the minors. Each year they pick a new kid and push the hype and charge more and people fall for it. The hobby is ruined by greed, and with CT scanners and scales going down hill. Breakers are either scanning, and or weighing their cases. I won't drop any names, but we know who they are.
Need to relax. First of all the Skenes debut patch isn't coming out of retail. Second of all, you'll be seeing Chrome Update on the shelves soon with Prizm football dropping. Saw 12 Chrome Update megas just sitting on the shelf yesterday at Target
@@joebwankenobi5194 everyone doesn't know that hence the jacked up prices on the secondary market. Until that card pops up, suckers will keep overpaying for mega boxes on the secondary market. And megas are popping up everywhere now so no need to buy over priced boxes. FOMO and greed are the problem

Well Topps mega box baseball every pack in the box l purchased had the same cards every other pack. l did not even get a All Star card. The worse box of mega box I ever got. Not happy. Please do better Topps it's important.

Everyone is getting sick of paying $100+++ for a $50 box of cards and Topps is just letting people spend. They need to let the Skenes card out
2024 Chrome Update isn’t even a Top 15 product of the last 25 years, much less last 10 years. Remember it’s just cardboard that sometimes shines.

Doesn't change the fact that it's ridiculously priced and most of the good cards have already been pulled. It's a joke is what it is.

They ruined chrome update the refactor alone used to be number also the break delight boxes they need to be more creative.
