DIY Lithium Battery Bank for my Sailboat (100% Solar Powered)

- Putting together my NEW DIY lithium battery bank was a huge learning experience. A major thank you to my good buddy Peter for taking the time to show me everything so I could avoid "arcy sparky".
This is 3.73 MORE capacity for your money than other competitive "drop in" lithium systems. As well, it's approximately 60% LESS space and weight!
Depending on interest shown, I may do a future video more in depth of the battery build. Let me know if that is something you'd like to see.

Thanks!
Great video and power bank build, I'm very interested in a future video about lithium systems and your review with this bank. Best wishes
Stay tuned buddy!
Awesomeness BTW! Great solution! Great approach! Great products! Cool build!
Glad you like it!
How are the batteries doing after a few months? Planning on buying new batteries.
They are doing great 👍
I actually just bought a c and c landfall and I want to put in solar panels. Is there any website you would recommend to find panels?
Check my link in my latest video.
How are you managing the AMP's coming from your Altenator?
With an ACR and a starter battery.
Hey. I know this is a older video now, and you might not read this. In case you do, what are your charge settings now?
If you haven't changed them I recommend changing absorbtion level to 13.8v, float to 13,4 or 13.5 and low voltage disconnect. You'll still get really close to 100% SOC and may take just a little longer to get there, but your battery will experience less stress keeping them out of the (knee bend) (high and low)on the charging graph. You could get a decade or two out of the cells. Sorry if you already new this.just sharing.
Edit. Low disconnect voltage to 12.4v
Thank you for the tips!
Where did you get the battery cells and BMS?
Alibbaba and overkill solar.
@@Adventureman_Dan Answered my question, over kill solar 120 amp hour. Great job. Hopefully we'll be in a sailboat within a couple years. Just putting a couple of those batteries in our rv now.
