I was in the Navy, WE went to Chile for one port call. There was a haze on the Horizon, just a slightly darker shade of blue, 2 days before we got to port. So you can reasonably guess that the Crystal mountains are visible 10-15 days travel away minimum. You can also look up Wagon train reports of traveling all day for weeks on end to get to the rocky's
Ive been wanted to play Saltmarsh since it’s release and I’m finally getting ready to play with my group in 2 months. I wanted to have it set I Greyhawk but I never played Greyhawk and felt like I was going to have to do a ton of research but I’m so excited that you’re putting this together because this is super helpful!
Greyhawk is still a great campaign setting and Gary wrote some good books set in Greyhawk about Gord the Rogue. The Saltmarsh adventures were a series I remember thinking were really what the game was about at that time. I never had a chance to run those as a DM, but am planning to do so in 5e soon. This is something I plan to check out.
Was there a map available of the wider ocean area, either free or paid? I was planning on doing a saltmarsh campaign soon with a heavy focus on navel exploration, but most of the maps I find are too low quality or already have hex grids at a scale I cant use. I really love the map used here, was there one in the same style that extends out further into the Azure Sea? Also thanks for the video, really helpful stuff for planning a campaign.
You can check out the free map pack here: ko-fi.com/s/379169b26e Which includes the 3 maps I am using. The member pack comes in higher resolution with several varations .
The nighthag wouldn't have pacts with demons from the Nine Hells…devils from the Nine Hells, demons are Abyss. 😉….just messin’ pretty sure everyone knew what you meant and the sentiment of what you were saying 😀
@@PyramKing That's really impressive. I couldn't talk for that long without flubbing something up, or recall all those facts about areas even WITH a script! LOL. To do that in one take with no editing is wild. Looking forward to more videos!
Okay, this is all fantastic work and I'm super interested in potentially running this. But I can't for the life of me take your Human Lineage AI images seriously. A world where every man is a chad and every woman is an instagram influencer :'D You need to find a better AI tool or hire some artists for the final product, please!
Looking forward to this, thanks!
I have actually spent my entire life running adventures out of this setting.
The enthusiasm and your setting knowledge is just fantastic! This will be exciting!!!!

Oh and fantastic video btw!!
Yeah...I missed that. I make my videos in one long take and no script and no edits, so I often make a few mistakes. Thanks for watching
