Honestly, This is the best Curse of Strahd guide. There are so many good perspectives within the content-creator community in this series. Pyram King opens the possibilities to its fullest potential. I have used many of his ideas to create my own version of this campaign. Thank you.

Can this be plugged and played with PF2E (Pathfinder 2e)? I have no issues buying COS from Beyond, but I'm interested using these modules with the PF2E ruleset.

Question you make all this content for Foundry, is it compatable with Converting over to Owlbear, I dont need player sheets or etc pop up windows .

I do many of these things for my Lankhmar Campaign, I also made a Map of a Notice Board, and tokens of Wanted Posters, and jobs etc I can put up on the boards for side quests and helpful hints etc . ... also you can Put a Numbered Bar (like a Ruler) in game, and just drop a extra set of Player & Monster tokens on it for initiative order. I use Owlbear with my 7 Players around a table, with Monitor in center ... after adding Tokens, you can Edit them to add names, so as soon as dropped on board it has the name, as well if it is a Monster and you add 1 at end of name, you can ALT click a token on map and drag a 2nd off it and it will have a 2 at the end now and etc ... Owlbear has tons of extentions you can add as well, Spell templates, Condition markers, Pops, I added tons trap Tokens I can place and hide till sprung, I also Put Post it notes all ove rmy Map I can see, Red Monster Stats, Blue Room Descriptions, Green Trap Stats, Yellow Loot (Which makes it easy to pop in screen so they can write it down and I dont have to repeat it 10 times), Blue is Special Info, Orange is NOTE of what my Players did last and etc for next session. ... I also have Colored Dots I put on Lankhmar City Map for points of interest they have Explored with its name, Many Dots still hid they have not found as of yet, I also have a DM Screen token I put just under my Map for IF I need to reference it, As well as all my Books PDFs in my Laptop which it, Dice and a quick Note pad is all i keep in my Play Area.

Honestly- amazing tutorial- I had been looking for how to animate a dark fog for the players- that sucked up colour- making it black and white. I knew there are filters for adding under water effects and such but only wanted it on half the screen. This... actually made me look more into lights and actually managed to get the effect I wanted without messing around too much with regions and scripts!

I have 6 players and using Initiative outside of combat does help give everyone a chance to do something, not just the designated "skill monkey".

Friendly Tip for GMs: You may want to remove Truesight from the mushroom tea roll table or nerf its power from the tea in your game. Truesight is a VERY powerful 6th level spell that can and will absolutely ruin many reveals and surprises in your game. Just in Vallaki it can reveal Lila as a fey, reveal who the wereravens are, reveal Vasili von Holtz as Strahd, break the murder mystery quest and the bones of St Markovia quest. Be extremely careful with this as it can straight up ruin large parts of the campaign. Personally I wanted to the Tea to have more utility in my game so I changed the tea to give temporary immunity from the effects of the Despair, nightmare, and short term madness tables, as well as give a +2 bonus to insight and perception checks for 10 min.

First ever campaign was CoS in 2021 and I watched your content wishing I had FoundryVTT. Fast forward to last Saturday, with a different group in a different campaign with access to FoundryVTT, my party found themselves fighting a City Corruptor that sent them to Barovia because I couldn't help myself. Can't wait to finally implement some of the stuff you have created so please, keep doing what you're doing! 🦇

Greyhawk is still a great campaign setting and Gary wrote some good books set in Greyhawk about Gord the Rogue. The Saltmarsh adventures were a series I remember thinking were really what the game was about at that time. I never had a chance to run those as a DM, but am planning to do so in 5e soon. This is something I plan to check out.

WOW!!! This was exactly what I needed. Your step by step process is amazing. I purchased Foundry because I saw such great potential in it's use. But after getting it, I instantly began to feel overwhelmed by all the bells and whistles and didn't know where to begin. This video showed me that and so much more. Just started running this with your other Barovia content and loving it! Do you typically allow a long rest for the level up before heading down from the attic? Thanks for this! Using it now to add some water effects to a flooded dungeon. The issue I have with this technique is that because it is light it seems to automatically light up the area and provide vision. I wonder if there is a way whether it be an alternate method or some mod where can you can create this effect but have it only be visible when creatures with Darkvision or light sources show up. At the moment if a PC with no Darkvision walks into the room he sees everything :/

I'm running COS now and was thinking about the mismatch between 5E and Gothic Horror. Professor DM was very articulate about the problems and what to do about them. Poe, Shelly, Washington Irving (Sleepy Hollow), and of course Stoker are all fantastic sources and Prof. pointing out that creeping dread and vulnerability are key to the genre. I love the idea of having the party start naked and potentially unarmed. What's really interesting is all the different takes on how to run the campaign and especially how to play Strahd. I don't know any other module that this level of tailoring. Thanks PK for the free maps and pdfs!
