I love that the female vocals set in right when you start seeing Klaasje.

good video. did you guys know the final lines of dialogue in True Detective season 1 (the brightness of the stars winning the battle against darkness) were most likely just lifted from the comic Top 10 by Alan Moore (writer of Watchmen and Miracleman and V for vendetta) originally delivered by a giant horseman called The Gamer consoling a man who just teleported to inside his guts with a rocket as they both die from the collision? it's pretty Disco. Whole comic is about a police precinct in a world where everyone has some kind of super power in a town built by nazi scientists after the war. Highly recommend.

I did not know that and now I am absolutely going to read that, I have an iPad arriving tomorrow and am really keen to use it for consuming more comics. Feel free to recommend more!

@@The41stPrecinct hell yeah, the whole idea of time as a flat circle or happening simultaneously is explored again and again in Moore's work, famously there is Doctor Manhattan nihilistic view of it in that one issue of Watchmen, and then it shows up again in From Hell, and most relevant maybe there is the short story The Courtyard, the first in Moore's trilogy dealing with the Ctulhu mythos, about this cop who is basically Rust Cohle without any of the redeeming qualities putting together this case. If you are into Lovecraft at all i recomend this one and Providence, about a reporter going on a trip across new england in 1919 trying to write the great american novel and accidentally running into a lot of outsider types. Then in the end of each issue you get to read his common place book and its like accessing his thought cabinet. It has a ton of world building delivered by weirdo ultra racists so its also like DE in that way.

Great edit again, love the final scene with Tequila and Kim leaving away as the music fades out. Just wondering why the Orange part with the lady voices is heard lower than the rest of the song.

Thank you! To answer your question on the audio, I have no idea, it was driving me insane for ages and I tried various different versions of the song and got the same result. Couldn’t figure it out but didn’t want to waste what I’d done.

Didn’t forget. Deliberately left him out, he doesn’t deserve to be amongst the mains.
