Still think it was a missed opportunity to not give Kiryu a job based off of his Agent style in Gaiden, kinda like how Ichiban has two jobs unique to him. Lotta potential in applying his new skills and gadgets to IW. Granted, it probably would just be collecting dust like everything else was for my Kiryu because of how DoD evolves into being his best option, anyway.
Makes sense thematically with an Agent style. Have it use gadgets and stuff as its skills. Then DoD evolves into something better because it not only reminds him of his old strength but is also enhanced by his friends/awakening.

Freelancer is completely obsolete because of Asakura skills, even the buff that only costs 10MP does more than the Hyper Swagger that costs 15 I think? Also Merciless Melee is the best guard break in the whole game

I live German suplex. I've had great luck with it's instant defeat. Merciless Melee saved my ASS when I got ahead of myself and tried to fully beat the dungeon early game. My first time facing the super sentai mascots I nearly gave up and threw my Xbox. Not my controller. I nearly unplugged my Series S and threw it out my window 😂. Then I tried merciless melee for the first time and I became a yakuza God. True story.
1:18 Aquanaut is great when you take into account the endgame gear it gets that basically allows anyone to be a better version of Gangster/Breaker/Chef.
For the next game, I really hope there are two difficulties intended for the moment you boot it up: one for people who don't like grinding (basically equal to this game's normal difficulty), and a harder one for those doing the side content and optional dungeons

Thanks to speedrunners I gained the precious knowledge that you can completely obliterate entire groups of enemies with Host + Prestige+50 + getting drunk + Muscle Soda + Essence of Rose Typhoon = almost 5k damage per encounter And yeah Linebacker sure is,,, a job that certainly exists, but at least I have great fun watching the cinematic for Essence of Showboating
Be sure to use Muscle Soda _and then_ Wonder Cocktail into Rose Typhoon. WC gets you drunk _and_ doubles the damage of your next magic skill! Inherit Drunken Fist and Bourbon Buster for your alcoholic build, and watch the damage numbers FLY!!
Jellyfish and Burning Arrow carried me the whole game when I used all my speed boosters on Kasuga. I used that Ninja bomb attack if Chitose went first though. Or that AOE pole dance move that can charm every enemy for some reason.
i used linebacker A LOT with adachi specifically bc i think the concept is the most fun out of the “everyday thing as a job” concept. the grapples are so fun to watch and the ricochet skill is funny
I DO NOT ACCEPT the linebacker slander when A: Conversion attempt is a single enemy skill that ricochets into nearby enemies, it can literally deal upwards of 4K damage B: Quarterback sack dealing really good damage and causing rage. That class has high defense and willpower, you'd be lucky to die using it and it allows you to spend a couple rounds getting Kunoichi agility buffs (so in turn you can also do 4K+ damage in a single turn)
@@Armed_Plumber first thing you need to do is select your strongest Sujimons. Then equip magic buff equipment. Increase Kasuga's magic attack and he can do decent damage. Still not as good as the rest.
@@JacobTheCroc That's exactly what I did and got the result you mentioned in the end: "Not as good as the others". Sujimancer not being able to equip weapons nor transfering its skills to other jobs makes it pale in comparison, which is wild considering it is a hidden job😳
I was worried going into Infinite Wealth that they'd somehow make Hitman less effective in this game in comparison to 7. Considering that it's a starter job and it's lowest MP move (Head Truama) was incredibly effective. Instead, though they removed Head Truama, Hitman is still the most effective AND they gave us another character with a starter job that's as effective as Hitman.
I was so happy I could actually use Freelancer without being fucking miserable. Holy shit I remember trying to get Atomic Drop and German Suplex in 7 and it was hell on earth, and here I actually used Freelancer for a while.
Breaker + brand for increased buff chance + accessory that gives you healing on buffs = self sufficient unit Don't know about you, but I like when every single member of my team can stand for themselves, without ever relying on others (except for cleansing restricting debuffs)
It feels like the majority of breakers moves should’ve been AOE and then you try it out and only like 2 moves are aoes, at least it has a really strong grapple and evasion stat boost moves
That's honestly what made this game a blast for me. So many different jobs to play around with for everyone. The fact they made Freelancer actually worth something was already a win. XD
I feel like Linebacker is better for the stuff you can inherit for jobs like Samurai or Pyrodancer rather than being a class you would actually want to keep someone as.
Freelancer Ichiban was *cracked* in this game. I decided to get that job to level 30 to unlock the endlessly cool Essence of Roadside Weapon, and I slapped on a champion's ring. He was dealing 1000+ damage with every attack at Lv. 40, and even his follow-up attacks did heaps as well
Sujimancer ist overpowered since you get every elemental attack plus the damage hit's like a truck if you use the sujigods. And the debuffs and healing skills are also nice.
When you realize Matt Yang King is a "King of Voice Acting" because he can be a god of fire, a crooked detective, an undercover cop, a taxi driver, even creatures. Man is talented.
Freelancer was useless in 7, and the Heat Action skill came way too late into the game. I'd rather have every class more on the OP side than half of them being so weak, you make the game twice as hard and slower than it has to be.
As someone who has beaten this game I can confirm. Bubble Bale(Housekeeper) and Burning Arrow(Samurai) destroy all mooks even if they resist. Cabbie has access to fire, ice, and electric. No need to even have Aqua's jellyfish skill. So broken. But yeah pretty much every class is broken. Some are just more broken than others. I beat the game having a combo of everyone's special jobs and Aquanaut, Host, Samurai, Geodancer, Kunoichi, and Housekeeper. I will say that Idol is outclassed by Geodancer. Sujimancer is a waste. IDC how many people swear by it. Every other class with a tricked out 7 star weapon is better. My only regret were getting Suji and Idol to level 30. Aquanaut and Geodancer are so much better. Suji skills dont even carry over. Jewel breaker and Shadow Dance are two of the most damaging single target moves when equipped right(no matter the foe). Most broken IMHO is Hero, Dragon, Geodancer, Housekeeper, and Kunoichi. It's not even fair especially if every male character as Burning Arrow(you get this without even leveling Samurai up LOLZ). Also Chitose and Seonhee speedkill everything before it gets a turn. You don't even need to equip items that give agility boosts. Too bad you get Joongi so late. I can't wait for the 3rd game.
Honestly chitose is really op on her own if you level up her kunoichi and get the fire aoe she has even if she goes first she can clear enemies very fast and easily then follow it up with burning arrow to finish the job. But don't sleep on her fire aoe cause one of the best in game.
Sujimancer… is a class The problem is that without spoiling the games finale, the game expects you to be at around level 50 by that point and the strongest sujimon for the sujimancer are at level 60 So you are going to be gimped for most of the game
Honestly, Heiress is actually fucking monstrous if you know how to play it. It basically guarantees full health for the party turn one with Aperitifs giving insane healing, and her pirouette and corsage do good damage. Also, she has a few cheeky statuses if you like that. Only issue I had was with her running out of MP, which was solved with her weapon seals. Basically, just give your party lead full HP and lower their attack with corsage over and over. Add some blade weakness and you got a spicy one.
That's why I put her on Tennis Ace and inherit a couple of moves from Idol. Since there's no longer a heal stat, there's no reason to stick with that job.

Honestly chitose is really op on her own if you level up her kunoichi and get the fire aoe she has even if she goes first she can clear enemies very fast and easily then follow it up with burning arrow to finish the job. But don't sleep on her fire aoe cause one of the best in game.

Honestly, Heiress is actually fucking monstrous if you know how to play it.
It basically guarantees full health for the party turn one with Aperitifs giving insane healing, and her pirouette and corsage do good damage. Also, she has a few cheeky statuses if you like that. Only issue I had was with her running out of MP, which was solved with her weapon seals.
Basically, just give your party lead full HP and lower their attack with corsage over and over. Add some blade weakness and you got a spicy one.

That's why I put her on Tennis Ace and inherit a couple of moves from Idol. Since there's no longer a heal stat, there's no reason to stick with that job.
