They generally sleep on beds made of straw when they’re on the trail.
Cuz they’re not just pets. They have a serious job now, until the race is over.

I need clarification, please. I see sleds with 2 or 3 people on them. I thought it was just one competitor to a sled?
That is a fantastic question: This was the ceremonial start in Anchorage. It is not timed, as much as anything I would say it’s for publicity and fun. The official start is in Willow Alaska the following day and it is one rider and a dog team traveling 1000 miles to Nome. We went out and wanted the “restart” and I am working on that video now. We “tailgated” at mile 5. I hope to have that finished and uploaded by this upcoming Sunday.
