Great episode! The gaslighting of conservative Christians has been off the charts the last couple years.
The Truth is so important to Christians. We cannot smile and play along hoping to get people to believe in Christ and then once they come to church say "Surprise! From the beginning He created them man and woman!"
So either they are trying the ole' bait and switch, or they are gonna have to compromise Scripture once they get people into church. We know which one they do.
You two and others like you, young and standing strong in the Lord, in the truth, give me hope for the future. You will be the soldiers fighting the good fight. My husband and I got dramatically saved in the 70’s during the Jesus people movement. It’s been disheartening to see what is happening but the Lord is separating a group of true believers for what is coming on the world. Stay strong!

French basically made the case that the jab is necessary to salvation. Rejecting it is like blasphemy against the holy Spirit according to what he has said. Creepy how so many have made it into an idol to worship.

I am so behind on these people! What happened to Phil Vischer?! Oh, Megan, I so agree: I came to Christ as a total mess and feel very passionate about truth. My husband & I were founding members of Northpoint CC. Around 2014, I noticed significant changes and wanted out of there. This most recent Trans conference was a full-on abomination and Andy Stanley lied to the congregation saying they merely let this group use their building. I cannot believe how far off the mark NPCC is now and I'm trying to figure out why they want to keep calling themselves Christian church....why not just social club for progressives?

First time watching you on here. Very good interview and I love the Sproul & Baucham references. I never hear them referenced outside of Ligonier Ministries. It's so hard to find good teaching out there.

As a christian, voting for Trump was a no-brainer for me, because he vocally stood up for the sanctity of human life. I was attacked for this by many “christians” who screamed at me for being a “one issue voter.” If that issue is of ultimate importance to God, you better believe I’ll be a one issue voter. My late mother, who was a lifelong christian and student of scripture always told me, “if we take care of God’s business, He will take care of ours.” So if one candidate stand for the murder of unborn children, and the other stands for the protection of unborn children, I know exactly who God wants me to vote for.
I’m one of the people who was anti Trump, I’m voting for him this time around. A lot of liberals are voting for him too. People are finally sick tired of all the nonsense going on.
Have you rethought your position about Trump? His recent comment about Florida’s abortion law and he said it was horrible and harsh. He does not favor a federal abortion band. Trump is pro life to get votes. He really doesn’t believe it. Come on people.

No John, Vischer and Jethani are not on your team. I watched a video early this year where they spoke about you and Alisa Childers in a very disrespectful tone. They admitted they knew nothing about Alisa but still were very condescending toward her.

I think he's referring to more physical stuff such as books. Most school's (don't know of any that wouldn't have any) have filters that block porn on their school computers so Covenant Eyes would be a waste of money for a school system. Now if a student knows how to go around the filters that the school's IT set in place, than that's a different issue.

Hey John, you should check out the church that the holy Spirit built, that is filling the earth, the pentecostal church. Rather then examining the church that Calvin helped build, which is in the west and is shrinking. I grew up in it and it helped steer me in such a way that I didn't need theologians and scholars and influencers no help me to discern the Bible. I just could understand it.

I’m Christian conservative libertarian and always pretty much agree with what is said on this podcast. Same with this specific episode. The only thing I would say is that I actually thing gay marriage (as sinful as it is), should be legal. I believe adult human beings can do what they want so long as it doesn’t harm someone else or endanger their human rights. The Bible tells us to judge within the church, not without. And if we should prohibit gay marriage, why is divorce (outside of adultery) legal? Drunkenness? Sex outside of marriage?
Other than that, this was spot on. Children cannot consent or understand the things that the lgbtqa community is pushing, and our elite Christians pushing this and other harmful practices make me upset and feeling as though there is no come back for us in America.
Divorce used to be limited in the United States. Then in the 1960's California passed no fault divorce legislation. The rest of the states followed soon after. And during the 1980's, adultry still could in some cases get you kicked out of the U.S. military. Drunkenness is still illegal in some states. As of 2003 in Utah, if you walked out into the street, from a private, you could be arressted.
As far as civil law and civil society not matching up with the Bible, as Christians, our views should reflect the Bible.
Homosexual relationships are a dead end, not blessed by God, not fruitful, un-natural. Yes love the sinner hate the sin. You can't compromise on the things God condemns whether in the church or out.
Do you know why there is such an emphasis on "pride" among the lgbtq folks? It's not the lukewarm at best resistance against that lifestyle. The real war is a battle against their own conscience and trying to find a way to silence that voice inside that says, what you are doing is wrong. They don't identify that conviction as within, they project it outward as anyone who they feel doesn't voice support. They fight so hard to win a battle that only results in losing the war and their soul. Anyone reading this now struggling in this, seek the truth... God will welcome you if you turn away from this.
@@BC-qb2if As Christians our values absolutely should reflect the Bible. As I stated in my OP, I absolutely believe homosexuality is a sin. Which is why as a church we should make sure we are setting that record straight. Denominations like the Episcopal church and now half of the Methodist church are moving away from Biblical doctrine and that is not okay. That’s where we as Christians should focus our efforts. We need to stop letting society infiltrate our churches and start standing our ground from within the body, rather than yelling and condemning outside of it. As Christians, we are in this world but not of it. Our Kingdom is not of this world. We may have Christian values (less and less though) in this nation, but we are not a Christian nation. We are not like the Israelites where we have a Jewish nation with religious law in the land. The US was built on a freedom of religion and can neither enforce nor prohibit religion.
Prohibiting Gay marriage is a moral religious stance and I believe shouldn’t be enforced. I was raised to believe it should be, but that’s not my personal stance as an adult. And as I stated, the Bible tells us to judge inside the church, not outside of it. How can we try to get people to see the truth of homosexuality without the Holy Spirit guiding them? We can absolutely tell the world “hey, this is wrong”. But trying to enforce it? I disagree with that.
-note I’m specifying sins that only harm themselves. Stealing, raping, murdering(which YES, includes abortion), those things absolutely should be illegal.
@@snesbit8475 I’m not compromising. Compromising would be me saying Methodist preachers can be gay or trans. Compromising would be me photographing or attending a gay wedding. Compromising would be me saying “it’s okay to be gay, God loves you just the way you are and you can do whatever feels good to you”.
