no terrible sponsor colors like orlen on alpha tauri or hp on ferrari or bwt on aston, just slap the gazoo racing logo on and the Haas already has the color scheme of toyota's LM cars
@@F1Unchained Happy is an understatement. F1 is looking better as long as they fix the ‘26 regs. Idk how true it is but I even heard talk of the FIA bringing back full v8s with sustainable fuels for 2030
I’m honestly excited to see them join back in F1 in a more hands off approach this time around, I’m also excited to see Toyota join V8 Supercars next season as well. It will be a pretty packed 2025 for Toyota, they’ll be competing in Major Series like NASCAR, WEC, WRC, and V8 Supercars, and now having a hand in F1 with their partnership with Haas.
@chandanasri7404 how is anyone a red bull fan? Just band wagons. No red bull fan exists without ricciardo. No ricciardo fan likes max. Everyone else just likes whoever is on top

Yeah, but more in the way like Red Bull with Ford and now Haas with Toyota did. Technical Partner yes, but not each Team is owned by a manufacturer. I want you to remind at examples like BMW or Toyota by himself. They left as fast as they come. So, im my opinion, the Formula 1 needs Teams like Williams or Haas.
I’m a long time Williams fan, but as an American I always wanted Haas to succeed. Komatsu is definitely moving the team forward…unlike Steiner. I just hate that they dropped KMAG for Ocon…I would have been OK with anyone else except Ocon.
Having toyota back is great & this time hopefully they will learn there lessons when they eventually own there own team again & not spend millions to getting nothing from it.
Simply lovely to see some praise for Komatsu. I absolutely don’t get the hype around Steiner, to me he seems like an relict of character traits favoured long, long time ago
Yeah, I’d love for every team to have their own engine maker, but let’s be real, that’s not happening. On the bright side, Alpine might be turning into a customer team, because honestly, having four works teams is kinda lame!
Thanks for getting this out so fast, Mr Wick you are the best!! Big news it is. Also Toyota announced last week they will be entering the V8 supercars series here in Australia from 2026 onwards with a V8 powered Supra. That series has been screaming out for more manufacturers (Ford and Holden ..now GM). Interestingly Andretti is already involved in V8 SC. Great to see Toyota back in F1, they are an automotive giant that can only bring value to the sport. Cant wait. Love your work.
This is a two way benefit for toyota because now they will also have data of formula 1 and simultaneously with wec. The technical aspect will benefit alot for both of them.
Too late. Toyota would have had to be putting their 2 cents in at the start of the year. If Toyota wants in on the powertrain they are at least 1 to 2 years late. Not really sure what Toyota's goals are in pairing with Haas.
Toyota wasn’t part of the engine manufacturers who registered in 2026. Next regs will be 2028 so they might be part of that or if they can buy out Renault’s spot that might be possible for them.
I'm taking it as they are helping with the aero and chassis bits the stuff that Haas does in house. GR getting there hands in those areas trading information can help both teams

Thanks for non clickbait! Interesting development, it might be influenced by the fact that the giant VW/Audi corporation is getting into F1. Interesting because if they have success Ferrari will not be happy. With these kind of developments we must be looking at an expansion of F1 into 12 grid teams. I think it would be great to have an expanded qualifying session and at some tight tracks only 20 cars get into the race.
exciting times in F1 again, been a fan of Toyota F1 from 2002-09 , I'm hoping they can help HAAS to secure there first-ever podium in the years to come. Go toyota!
Look what GR did with the GR Yaris in the WRC, they built an entire car from the ground up and won quite quickly. Tells me aerodynamics will be just the start. Ambition is something they Toyota have in spades since Akio Toyoda had input.
not once did I subscribed to a channel just because the creator is asking for it in the video, the only thing you achieved is that I had to reach out to the keyboard to skip forward. on the other subject - nice video, good info, valid insights, thx!
Over the past decade or two there have been so many manufacturers go half in, go in, go out, go in, undecided, leave after a few years if it doesn't succeed immediately etc. It's bloody F1! If they want to enter and really put the brand in giant neon lights, they really need to be a works team and commit to it.
Your speed in getting this video published an hour or so after the embargo is outstanding - but this is what we’ve come to expect. Whilst it’s great news for Haas and F1, it’s going to present some serious logistical challenges gives the sheer number of sites they have and their geographic spread. I feel some rationalisation will be required to be more efficient and effective. Peace ✌️
Smart, going for a team that has your same colour scheme branding makes it seem like you own the entire car, people are gonna think that toyota own a formula 1 team now
YAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Also Ayao mentioned a big upgrade for COTA and this project seems perfect for all involved. Sure they aren't giving Haas cash, but cash can't fix Haas' issues, and Toyota gets the illusion of being in F1 without needing to spend money. If Haas improves everyone will credit Toyota, Ayao being Japanese and friends with the TRD Boss certainly didn't hurt
I don't see this will massively boost haas the keyword here being massively because they might start becoming top of the midfield but unless haas ditch ferrari we all know they won't be allowed to beat them
Alfa Romeo would have made a little sense, if Haas were to evolve into a Junior Team for Ferrari and it’s racing academy. But I always felt that Ferrari should purchase Faenza-based RB and make that into the junior team under Maserati branding. It’s based in nearby Bologna and is a more prestigious performance oriented brand.
Seriously, of all the major manufacturers of the world, the biggest of them all not being in F1 was BS, I love this. BTW, this the same as why Nissan wasn't on F1 in the 80s and 90s, they had the best R&D in Japan back them, why they didn't try it on F1 is beyond me.
I used to work at TGR and even back in 2012/13 we had developed a single cylinder development engine for the new hybrid units. I’m assuming this will be an engine supply deal (as they currently do for the Finnish ran WRC project) plus use of the 7 poster and wind tunnel etc. But not sure how involved it will be or even if it’s linked to the Cologne centre at all. A lot of projects are staying in Japan. Interesting but I’m not expecting much because Toyota couldn’t even win a 2 car race last time round in F1 😂
They are forced to use Ferrari power unit. They made their decision too late. With one year and two months left to 2026, there is no way Toyota can develop a competitive power unit in 2026.
This should be step one for hass to become actually a serious team, ideally in the future Toyota could help build the car instead of dilaria. It also could lead to a works engine in the far future
The ideal scenario would be for Haas to show improvement with the Toyota GR technical partnership. That would then motivate Toyota to re-enter F1 as an engine supplier.
The GR colour scheme on Haas will be just perfect if they do that.
