ARB certainly did go to the right guys for these fridges. Mycoolman is the original brand and have done some great work designing these things. Engineers that used to work for Dometic/weaco that decided they could do better. ARB have made a couple little adjustments colour wise and to those handles. Have spoken to some mycoolman engineers and the compressor has been specially designed for these fridges for a softer power up when the fridge starts running, after pulsing off. (Compared to demetic) Also having a multi speed compressor to better handel temperature when in hot temperature extremes and low battery conditions. Can't wait to get mine. @@northernsurvivalbackcountr4986 It’s OK man you just have to be careful with how hot it gets in the cab I’m an owner op I have the Double bunk high cab sometimes sitting on that top bunk up there where the 12 V plug-in is it can get hot up there if I don’t let the air run at night if it’s above 85 so you just have to watch how hot the ambient temp temperature is and sometimes the motor can be loud most of the time I just deal with it because diesels too damn expensive to be burning just idling
Hi. For zero dual zone freezer and refrigerator. If both compartment was use as freeze only, can we can just run one side only as freeze and switch OFF the refrigrator side so we save on electricitiy ?
how much must the lid be opened in order to remove it? all the way vertical, 90 degrees? 45 degrees? i want to know if i can remove it from inside a tailgate where there is not room to open the lid 90 degrees.

I've owned an ARB Classic 50 qt for several years, and I am thinking of upgrading to a Zero 101, but to work in my vehicle, the lid has be be capable of being removed (pulled loose from the hinges) when only opened a couple of inches; the Classic can do this, but I haven't been able to find info on whether the Zero's lid can pull off this trick too.
No, they sell like hotcakes. Might get lucky and get an older fridge for a better price. I will say, you will get your money out of these things. My buddy has the older ARB and it has run flawlessly for nearly 10 years. I just pulled the trigger on the 73qt Zero and its back-ordered unfortunately. I'm sure COVID plays into as well though.
b hbdvm the amp draw is listed on the link in the description. It runs from: 0.8Ah (DC12V set at 41°F w/ 89.6°F ambient temperature) for the 47 quart to 3.1Ah (DC12V set 5°F zone 1 / 37.4°F zone 2 w/ 89.6°F ambient temperature) for the 101 quart unit.
So the 73 and 101 doesn’t fit in the back of a Jeep Wrangler in a slide out configuration and the other Zero line up products in smaller sizes are not true daul zone. You more or less, click baited us!
If I ever order this, the LAST place I'd order it from is quadratec. I ordered 1 jeep part from them 3 weeks ago and cant even get ahold of them for a refund since I can never actually get through. No thanks, never again

I have a Kenworth W 990 so I chose the 101 quart one it fits nicely on the shelf above my single bed

Can you please provide how many amps this unit draws. The Dometic is about 2amps. Great features for the ARB but is it as efficient?

I have been ordering from Quadratec for literally a few years now, and NEVER once had a problem with ordering or customer service.
I have been a long time Q customers, and they almost always show up two days later. I live in OH and they are in PA not sure if that is a factor.
