I have the same ARB purchased in 2012 and now pressed into full time duty as I'm living in the back of my 2012 Tacoma. I put the optional thermal blanket on it for added insulation and protection. When I'm not plugged into shore power, I'm plugged into a portable battery bank similar to a Jackery. I never have to worry about draining the truck battery. It sips the juice anyway... Great fridge!
I m just arrive from 4WHEELPARTS, the only one in my area ( Québec Canada) . And I order the same thand you , juste new one classic II 50 Qt. For replacing my Dometic cff 45 ( brand new July 2022) but I have intermittent problems whit... so I just change for ARB... and 3 years garantie. I trust more ARB , and with you re review, I m sure this one are tougher.. 👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
My arb ran 6 years straight in my work trucks before retiring to recreational use 18 months ago. Running in my jeep right now. I broke the latch a couple times and ARB just sent me new ones no charge.
Nice, I also have a ARB 50 litre fridge. I bought it in 2011, I use it 300 days a year at 27 degrees. My 12 Volt plug melted a few years ago, Amazon search got me a better plug and solved that problem, mine gets beat to deaf in a truck but it still keeps drinks ice cold.
After less than three years of only occasional mild use, the Secop compressor motor in mine has come loose from its moorings inside its containment tank, and is banging around loudly with every road bump. I'm waiting now (June '21) to hear if ARB will replace it, as it is still under warranty. 🤞
ARB replaced it with a new one after I submitted the easy online warranty claim form and included a video/audio of the issue. They included a return-shipping label for the original fridge as well. The no-fuss process was easy. As for the compressor they continue to use ... Well, we'll see ...
Great video, I have the same frig for 4 years. Question, have you had any issues with cooling? I notice on mine, the first day of on a camping trip, I set the temp at 34 degrees. Then starting day 2, the temp start increasing to 36 to 40 degrees and is constantly running to say cool. It never shuts off. I have the frig hardwired to my battery. I've tried increasing my temp to 36 degrees too. Sometime I have to shut off the frig for about 20 minutes, then turn back on and suddenly its working perfect again.
Can anyone help with this technical question? I have a 60L ARB fridge, I've had it for 8 years and love it. I have a question that I cannot find an answer to. It has to do with the LEDs on the control panel. Red means a low battery or a fault, green means the compressor is on, and yellow means fridge has reached the desired temperature, but what is happening when there are NO LEDs on? (just the digital temp display). TIA!
Nice review. I've thought about those but didn't know if the cost was justified. Knowing how bad we have it in the area, and how well it lasted out in the environment, it's well worth the price. BTW, Will you be going to the Overland Florida Cars& Coffee event on November 7th at Lakeland Linder? edit..... Actually, Never mind. I see you're the one hosting it........
Hopefully my Dometic lasts as long. I'd almost be willing to bet that the scroll compressors and electronics are sourced from the same manufacturers though.

John Amos UK.
Time ARB gives you a sponsorship Excellent review Thanks
I highly doubt they will ever see this review. But they made some darn good products.
@@OverlandFlorida I emailed them your link and asked if they would consider it. Maybe if several others did it they might!
@@InjunOutdoors that's very kind of you. Thank you so much!

Thank you so much. You will be happy with the ARB. Mines still running fine.

Thanks for the added review. It's a great product and they truly last a long time. Even in harsh conditions.
My latch broke also when I bumped my leg onto it,

That's good to know! It's a great fridge for sure.
Nice review. What temp Dom you typically set yours at? I know mine likes to swing 5-6F.
29°

Dang, mines way out of warranty. Hopefully yours gets fixed.

Get a little contact cement to glue that ARB sticker back on. Mine fell off within a few months. No big deal if it does, just looks better.
Poor sticker is like gone. :(
Nice review. I wonder if they are still a quality build.
They sure are!

No issues. Maybe sure all the vents are clear on the fridge. Don't have anything resting against it blocking the air.
The freezer part is on the back side? Can you freeze stuff in the whole cooler?
You can do that.
Great review on the ARB
Thanks!

Their boards are known to fail.
Do you have a deep cycle battery? I’m looking to get a fridge and curious if factory battery will run it.
Yes a factory battery will run it. But if you plan on running it for hours, get a deep cycle battery.
How’s that cheap fridge/freezer doing? If I remember correctly, your friends were passing it around to try it out?
It's ok. The lid latch is the cheapest part. It's been set at 23° for 3 weeks and I still can't get water to freeze.

It's a great refrigerator. I actually live across the street from the airport. I'll definitely be there.
Hopefully my Dometic lasts as long. I'd almost be willing to bet that the scroll compressors and electronics are sourced from the same manufacturers though.
Oh for sure. Dometic is a great brand. I'm sure the compressors are pretty similar, of not the same.
Good info. Thanks. 👍
Your welcome!
How about reviewing the winch?
Ok, I can do that.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Have you ever camped at coiler and seminole state park?
No I have not.
what is it with Americans not stating the important information first? like what SIZE is the fridge we are looking at...?? its not hard
I guess you need to stop watching American UA-cam.
