    I just bought my Ovation and packed it up to take it to the repair shop because i thought something was wrong with it. I am so glad I watched your video before it left the house & I made a fool out of myself. I followed the directions in the book when threading, but did not see that tidbit in there about engaging the upper looper. Had not gone for my intro basic on this machine yet. Thank you so much for your youtube video.

    Have you made a video of how to use the knee lift? I have issues getting it put into the machine. I love the knee lifts on my other baby locks. Thank you for your videos.

    Thank you so much for your step by step instructions. I have a Babylock Evolve which I hadn't used in years because I was only quilting. Your video helped tremendously and now I can sew dresses for my granddaughter!

    I really appreciate your detailed video. I just got the triumph serger and it was set up for cover stitch and I couldn’t figure out what was going on. If I had seen your video first I would have known they sold me a used one. They won’t admit that it was used but when you see the cord and foot peddle not in any packaging you know something is up. Thank you for such a great video. I have looked at many of your videos and really appreciate them. Good job.

      I'm so sorry that I didn't see your comment until now. Here is an updated video showing how to thread and troubleshoot a cover hem on the Baby Lock Ovation ua-cam.com/video/SnjM_N1r-xA/v-deo.html Also, if the needle thread guides behind the machine are too snug and your thread is breaking when you try to insert the thread in them, here's a tutorial showing how to loosen those thread guides. ua-cam.com/video/QZ8m2s3PswU/v-deo.html

    Can you change colors of threads by cutting the thread of the old color and tying it to the new color?

    • @JSternDesigns
      @JSternDesigns  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes you can! Make sure the presser foot is in the UP position. Tie a knot, clip the tails short and pull it through the looper thread guides. You can do that for the needles to... up to but usually not through the needle eye because the knot is too big to fit through. Thanks for serging along with me!

    I love your video! You explain and show everything perfectly. But my threads will not thread through the air port threader, help!!!! What should I be doing? Or is there anything that I can do? Thank you for any and all HELP?!!!!🥺🤔😅

    • @JSternDesigns
      @JSternDesigns  2 роки тому

      You can try using the little wire threading tool to "clean out" the ports. If that doesn't work, you'll need to take it in for service. I was having trouble with one of my ports and a good servicing fixed it. Thank you for sewing along with me! Sorry for the delayed response

    could you clarify why you had the UL disengaged if you had been doing a coverhem? thought you only did that for 2 thread serging like a flatlock. thanks

    • @JSternDesigns
      @JSternDesigns  7 років тому +1

      Hello, You have to disengage the Upper Looper when you do cover stitches because of the sewing table attachment. See the flat surface on the right side of the needles? The Upper Looper would hit it because it pops up higher than the flat surface. Let me know if that clears it up... Thanks for watching :)

    Help, please. Need assist with how to thread ovation for 4-thread safety stitch (chain stitch + 2-thread overlock wide). I am new and struggling and I have lost my needle threader...anyone know where I can buy another? I live 3 hours from nearest Baby Lock dealer.

      Sandra Elliott I will do a video for the 4-thread safety stitch in the next week or so... Here’s a link to the needle threader www.sewingpartsonline.com/needle-threader-babylock-b8490s02a.aspx

    If I am using the 4 thread overlock do I need to use that back plate of can I just use the Chain1 spool

    • @JSternDesigns
      @JSternDesigns  6 років тому

      Hi Lori, thanks for checking in... I think you're asking me if you can put the spools for a 4-thread on the front row of spool pins... Just between you and me, I do use the front row of spool positions when I'm working with a 3 or 4 thread sometimes :)
