Thank you.!
I would like to ask you if you ever consider make a list and number then so we can gain a lot more of your GREAT and well prepared videos if want to go back and watch them.
For example: DIFFERENTIAL FEED
I promised always to leave my finger up for every time
I watch them.
Thank you for watching! I'll put organizing the Baby Lock Play List on my to do list!
Wow! Wish you were my instructor because my lightweight wovens would have looked better w/o having to use a wash away stabilizer. Thank you!
:). Thanks Kathleen
Great video, should I use a stretch needle, new to serging a knit fabric ie 80%poly, 20% cotton. Thank you. Hope to hear from you...
I am so sorry I missed your question... If you're working with knit fabric that does not have any lycra or stretch stuff in it... try a universal needle first (they are less expensive and they have a semi-ball point)... I can get away with a Universal needle a lot of the time. If I get skipped stitches, I'll switch to a Stretch Needle.
I love it !
Thanks!
When I coverstitch, I have some difficulties with the side seams bumps. Do you advice to change the differential feed or to loose the pressure on the pressure foot? (I’ve tried with the lower pressure but that don’t make perfect stitches either…). Thanks a lot
Try slowing down, stopping and raising the presser foot when you start to sew over the bump.... then hand walk it over the seam by turning the hand wheel toward you ... this should help the stitches from stacking up... Thanks for watching
I take it that the same information is applied when using different models of the serger? I have a Gloria which is a beautiful machine.
Hi Rose, Yes, you can use this info for other models! Keep me posted if you have questions about anything specific!
🤎 Hi! Is it possible to lower the feed dogs away for a moment, if needed, like one can do on a regular sewing machine (like Bernina, which I know the best)?
I have not heard of a serger that has a feature that drops the feed dogs... You can turn the hand wheel toward you until the feed dogs are almost flush with the needle plate... I think that's the lowest they go. Hope this helps, thanks for watching
I’m going to purchase this Ovation soon however, it is made for Europe......converter comes with it, would that be a problem?
imisslola321 My guess would be if it comes with the converter it should be ok ... but I’d have to research to be sure
What foot are you using? It doesn't look like my foot. Thanks!
That's the standard presser foot that comes with the Baby Lock Ovation... (Sadly, I don't own any specialty presser feet. If I did, I would do tutorials showing how to use them!) Thanks for watching
