Hey, I``d like to know, when we sell domain names, where are they listed and can we shoehow or somewhere take a look at those sites , on some external list somewhere on the net ?
Would it be better to sell a really good domain name on afternic at a set price or auction where there's a chance for a higher bid? I have a 3 letter domain that I've been sitting on.
Hi, You can list it on auctions as an offer/ counter offer. With Offer/Counter Offer listings, you can let buyers submit their own offers for your domain names. When a buyer submits an offer, you can either accept it, submit a counter offer, or push the listing to a 7-Day Public Auction using the buyer's initial offer as an opening bid. You can learn more about it here: www.godaddy.com/help/selling-domains-with-offercounter-offer-or-buy-now-listings-891. Between my business account, and my personal account, I own around 400 domains. I'm not interested in selling them if I can make $10 a year to cover the costs.
6 months ago I bought a domain name from GoDaddy for approximately $14 I wanted to list it for sale They said I would have to renew it Early 6 months early When I still had 6 months left before renewal time they said because to resale a domain name you have to have under 6 months renewal time for me to renew it right now they want $24.95 per domain early renewal Before I offer it up for sale is this true?
Thanks for reaching out. You can try to list your domain name for sale, and if you receive an error that there is not enough registration time remaining on the domain then you will need to renew it. ^G

Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 at last got excellent results with it.

After you register/purchase your domain name, you can place it on the GoDaddy Auction platform to sell to an interested buyer shopping there. Or list it as a Premium domain, so your set price will show when someone looks for your specific URL. ^T
Hi there! Check #3 above to start your domain inventory. "First, check to see if the names are available to purchase as new registrations. If the names are taken (as many probably will be), head over to the aftermarket to buy from people who already own the names or who let them expire because they no longer plan on using them." And make sure you have an Auctions membership at GoDaddy to get started. ^T
Thanks for reaching out. A common and simple way is to transfer the domain name to the buyers GoDaddy account. Steps on how to do this can be reviewed here: www.godaddy.com/help/move-my-domain-to-another-godaddy-account-822 ^Gary
@@GoDaddy Bookmarked, thank you. Brand new to this and have a ton of questions. Also do you need to have an actual page saying the site is for sale or can you just sell the domain directly?
Happy to help out. You don't need a page on the domain to sell the domain. There are many options, such as our Auctions, that don't require that. It can, however, be a useful tool to direct potential buyers that might visit the domain. If you haven't already, you may want to check out our article linked in our video description, that might answer some more questions for you. ^Gary
Promo for GD services... #1 to know is, are you just a squatter or are you legit because the overall end sale/offer... Domains are a global racket sanctioned by ICANN. Period. Do not waste money buying a lot of crappy TLDs. Period.
Highway robbery! This is how I lost my website name and will never buy it at this ridiculous price. How horrible that we have our domain names kidnapped for ransom because it accidentally expires due to an expired credit card. Shameful. :-( And Godaddy "fosters" this behavior. You ruined my small business and all that I had accomplished until then.
Check out the domain evaluator tool to get a general idea - www.godaddy.com/domain-value-appraisal It isn't an end all be all price but a good starting point.
Those who grab domain names and sit on them in hopes it will one day bring them riches are the lowest forms of life. If you disagree, you are part of the problem. Stop wasting time buying names and start doing something creative in your life.
