@@vikingored5993 I’m not sure. I believe hook lift is something like 15-30% more but thats just what I’ve heard from one person. I would want to put my truck in neutral regardless and set the parking brake and hold the brakes with a hook lift. Keep the pressure off the transmission.
If I remember correctly I was quoted about 12k for the heavy duty hydraulic switchngo and about 15k for a hooklift with no installation for both.....I went the cheapest way and toke the switchngo but I didn't do my due diligence and found that the hook dumpsters are cheaper and for all the heavy lifting I do the winch just doesn't stand up for long..I regret not doing more research....but the unit is a very good unit ..it does what it was designed to do and that's to swap bodies and in my opinion lite or empty ones
If the truck moves backwards will that mess the transmition up,over time???
Its in neutral. Thats how all roll off trucks do it.
