I can’t even think about love until I feel safe. It’s challenging when I’m dating someone who believes “love” is enough. Off rip- love isn’t enough for me. I don’t have the confidence to love a man until he’s given me a reason to feel safe about that decision

I love the part at 32:40 where you Candice mentioned being in love with a person that doesn't make you feel safe because they don't protect you or your feelings. I just recently came to terms with this in my relationship and I had to walk away, because I felt myself forming an armour. It's a very lonely feeling and I don't believe that we should willing be apart of a relationship yet still feel as though we're single.
I LOVE how transparent you all are with each other. The level of maturity in this conversation is so admirable. I pray our community unleash the trauma they have and heal to be able to love how you all love. These are the types of videos we need in today's climate. PLEASE don't stop loving out loud and sharing these moments. I'm such a happy subscriber :,)
I remember the first episode with the ladies vividly. And I can honestly say that Jalon has matured SO MUCH since then. He is totally different here than that episode. I can see how secure and in tune with himself that he is. I love that. I see maturity in everyone else as well.
From the outside looking in, I too felt a sense of safety while watching this. It serves as a reminder to never compromise on my desire for safety, security, and protection.

I am stuck in between most days, but am still learning to relinquish. Having been in prior relationships that teach you you have to rely on yourself, I feel like Duke says, my husband had to just lean in, and SHOW me without hesitation, and I feel the wall come down. Independence is my default but I'm "tired", love you all and your perspectives. Beautiful couples!❤❤❤
