Wild turkey is my favorite, I got my first bottle after a friend's bar had a fire and everything was a write-off. Fire was in the back kitchen but the bar sustained heavy smoke and water damage but the alcohol was fine so he let me pick through and take what I wanted for free 🤣🤣 got like 12 bottles of liquor, 10 12 packs of different beers and a keg
Just from the straight sipping, I'm most curious to try the Wild Turkey! We haven't done a lot of honey whiskies, but if they're flavoured well I'd love to give one a try. Thanks for this Carl! Better luck guessing next time, lol!
I have had the Wild Turkey and the Evan Williams and while both were interesting, I much prefer the non-honey version of each. I want my bourbon to taste like bourbon. However, I really like your cat!
I've only used the JD honey from this lineup before in cocktails, but I'm personally more fond of the honey liqueur from the Whistler (not that I'm biased at all) Oh, and I've used honey whiskeys in a 'gold rush' shot cocktail which was really easy to drink
I gotta try honey whiskey, heard too many mixed thoughts about it from both ends, so I gotta try it for myself, but based on this taste test, I'm already liking it 😊😊
I don't love honey whiskies. Reminds me of the huge number of maple whiskies we make up here. I don't like those either. But that cocktail recipe looks absolutely fab.
@@carl_busch I think it’s worth about $400 aus My first real girlfriend worked for Pernod Ricard I was drinking wt 101. Rare breed. The honey liquor and other assorted top notch Australian wines from Australia for staff pricing like it was Lolly water The good old days
You folks should try the original Evan Williams Honey with the new one with the orange label across the bottom. Evan Williams Honey is the only thing I've been drinking for the last several years. This new version with the orange label on the bottom sucks. The woman in the liquor store warned me that it wasn't the same recipe, and that people had been complaining about it. I purchased a half gallon anyway. It sucks. It's like being a Pepsi lover and discovering the last bottle of Pepsi you bought tastes like Coke, and is totally flat. No one will be buying this after they taste it. I hope they are saving plenty in production. And I hope it's enough to make putting one of the nicest flavored bourbons down the drain, which is just where this half gallon is going.
We have not and probably won't anytime soon. We are just kinda over the honey in whiskey bottles. Rather just make a Gold Rush. I glad you are enjoying EV Honey and honestly I don't think I have seen it in Iowa.
I prefer the JD Honey, I just drink it on the rocks normally, though, I rarely mix my whiskey, flavored or not. I mostly sip on the honey ones straight though, I mean, the whiskey is technically already mixed IMO, why ruin it in a cocktail? I do dig the Wild Turkey Honey a little more, but I have to go out of my way to another store to buy it then the one I work at, so naturally I get either the JD Honey, or JB Honey if I wanna switch it up once in awhile. Either way, good reviews all around, and maybe for the Yule season I'll try the cocktail. Cheers! Btw, I do alcohol reviews too!!

Wow, that's crazy. Any other good bottles?
Yeah what did u get?
I have tried the JD Honey. But not the others. I will have to change that, You can tell Carl was enjoying himself. He got it every where.
EVERY WHERE!!!! LOL
I thought the JD Ten. Honey was the best til I tried the Wild turkey American Honey and WOOOW. Stuff is amazing
Its really really good.

Haha thanks!! Rikey is so much better at this than me.

We like our cat too 🐈😺 😊
Looks like the cat picked the wild turkey too.
love a bit of Irish mist or even the Dubliner when it comes to honeyed Whiskys!
Will keep an eye out for either of them.
The Jack D Honey is my fav. I used to drink that neat all the time. Well Carl, you can’t be good at everything pal. Ha!
But I want to be 😭

Good idea about gold rush shot!!
@@carl_busch You should review Old Virginia & Honey

Its worth trying for sure.
The wild turkey honey is more mellow . And give that Tom cat a drink .🐈⬛
He drinks more than us
Wild Turkey Ingredients:
Bourbon Whiskey (54%) origin USA, suagar, alcohol, glucose syrup, flavours, honey (1%)
No doubt at all that's how all these flavored bourbons are made.
Another you tuber said the JD honey had a butter Scotch smell and taste. Did y'all think that?
Off the top of my head I don't get that. We don't have that bottle anymore. Let a friend take it home with them

I'm not going to replenish our honey whiskey super fast when we run out. But next winter will make sure we have 1 bottle for this drink. 😁
I have an old unopened WT honey liquor bottle. The genie style. Worth a fortune now I believe
Interesting.

Irish Mist or Canadian Mist are the whisk(e)y honey I go to.
Heard of them. Haven't had them.
I like Jack but Jack Honey is Nasty. American Honey is excellent.
Jim Beam Apple bests Royal Crown Apple.
I can see that about the apple for sure.
I over did it with the JD Honey shots in Vegas once 🤮
I think that might be a common thing.
Oof 🤢
The cat is looking for mouse flavored bourbon.
HAHA
The JD honey & apple whiskeys are delicious.
Those are very popular around here.

@@carl_busch thanks!!
I enjoy the American Honey.
Its not to bad.
You need to leave the taste testing to the pro Carl haha
You are absolutely correct!!
The shirt stain is the best part.
Thanks :)
