Guess you can never have enough of a good thing, bought a yellow Jeep for my 5 year old granddaughter, a white Jeep and red Deadbolt for grandpa. We take them up on logging roads in a state forest above where we live. These are so much fun! Please keep up the great videos.
I bought the Teal Chevy truck scx24 today. Cute little rig. . Right out of the box I noticed there isn’t enough weight to make the tires stick. The Chevy truck I didn’t find that top heavy probably because it’s not a full body like the Jeep.also it’s needs a pinch more wheel speed. I like to take one of my r/c vehicles with me when I go on my neighborhood walks. It’s more fun that way. Keep up the great reviews and upgrade tips
Great video. Free mod for me: My stock tires rubbed the rear of the FRONT wheel well, when flexed and with the front wheels turned. This would bind up the steering and throw off my line. I trimmed the rear of the front wheel well opening to get more flex with no steering interference.
Did that and trimmed the bottom side of grill and flipped the bumper mounts upside down. Raised the front bumper considerably. And I raised the body mount bracket in the front up two notches so I can put the battery on top of the esc for more front weight.
Added the mil stone brass wheel spacers and a few tungsten plates low on the chassis. Suspension responds much better with little extra weight, upgraded to the hot racing shocks. The rok lox tires are a big improvement as well. Also a metal gear servo 28oz really helped. Great videos!! Very informative!!
Expecting mine yesterday. Lol. But seriously checking the tracking number hourly. I have close to the 1:1. Nothing extreme 2" lift 37s but black. This is a tremendous deal. I highly recommend this RTR to any RC enthusiast. First timer or seasoned.
I just added small zip ties the the outside of the shocks between the coupler and the top of the tower. They actually can slide up and down allowing u to adjust the shocks accordingly
Can't wait to start tweaking ours more! I got the brass knuckles for ours and the diff covers should arrive today. I also moved the shocks around to lift it more for added clearance but I don't like how tippy it is now. Hopefully the diff covers will help. Spring hardness is ok but they need to be damped or slowed down. Compression, the car rolls over quickly. Rebound, the thing bounces like a pogo stick. The mod we do is cool without spending $40 for shocks. It's hard to get sealed shocks this small anyway that are reliable.

I have one... I’m a rookie at this, but I am going to do some of these upgrades My truck has a clip on the hood and the body hinges backwards to reveal the chassis parts PS: Avery is THE MAN!
A good steering mod is to replace the spring in the servosaver with a length of fuel tubing. Stiffens it up and still functions as designed. Simply adjust for tension by how long a pice you use. The stock servo isn’t bad if it’s not wasting power.
Dear RC Review, could you please recommend a replacement battery for this model? Maybe with a higher capacity than the 350? Thanks a lot! Great reviews you do! Like the style...:)

Hi there! I'm new to the hobby and really enjoy all the contents you've made so far! I've just bought a FMS FJ and got myself some 20M diff fluid, as i would like to reduce some of that bounce. Would like to ask approximately how many grams did you use for the SCX? by the looks of it, it should be around 2-3 grams at most? Anyways, keep up the good work! :)
I'm definitely looking into getting into this hobby. It seems like something like this little SCX24 would be a good starting point. Not bank-breaking but hobby grade to give me a good feel for the hobby overall. One thing I haven't seen much about is bodies for all these vehicles. I know there are a bunch out there and people do a lot of mods but my question is do smaller things like this 1/24 truck or even up to the 1/10 trucks have a wide selection of bodies to swap to or are you just looking at build kits only to really be able to choose other bodies? I'm a 1/1 scale Jeeper as well and I'd love to pick up the SCX24 and be able to swap it to a 2-door Jeep body and mod it to look more like my real vehicle.

Tires are those recommended Rok Lox. New tires comes with new foams but without rims so I need to rip off those stock tyres somehow. I hope it is not hard. Do I need to glue the new tires even though these micro crawlers are very light and slow? And could I add some DIY weights between the rims and the foams maybe? Tires were hard to find from Europe based shops and there were no wheel weights nor brass knuckles etc available in the same shop. This car is the first rc crawler in our house and I'm really worried that I'm going to order one for my self too. Not the Axial 1:24 but the Trx4 Bronco… It looks so amazing in the pictures and in your videos. All the other bodies are more or less ugly compared to the Bronco. Cheers from Finland!

I found the RC4WD Rok Lok tires to be much too small on the SCX24. You lose a lot of ground clearance using the smaller tires which limits it's crawling ability.
Hey I've got a question about engine selection. Im dropping a 370 into a freakishly modded SCX24. Using a 3d printed mount. Right now it is a double engine, 6x6, 4 wheel steer. It's a heavy beast! Gonna be a tow-truck emergency, maybe give it a post-apocalyptic style :) I don't know which 370 to use. How many turns? And should I use a different pinion? If so, how do you calculate pinion and spur size to get an idea of the vehicle speed you'll get? With this one, I'm trying to stay with a similar speed of a stock scx24. Wish there was a small 2 speed, because I'd like to be able to trail AND crawl. Lol This will be driven long and hard at Axial Fest this year, and so I'm switching to a strong, reliable engine, and trying to replace weak parts. Thank you for your videos, info, and great tutorials!

Good video and thinks for no shout out considering I was the first to put and test green slime in my scx24 shocks. 😂 It does make a huge improvement. I do however disagree with a couple things the mil-stones make a way bigger difference then just diff covers also Then tires you mentioned are tiny and the stock tires are not bad at all once they break in but there are several better tires on rc4wd’s site. Right now it is a double engine, 6x6, 4 wheel steer. It's a heavy beast! Gonna be a tow-truck emergency, maybe give it a post-apocalyptic style :)
I don't know which 370 to use.
Lol
This will be driven long and hard at Axial Fest this year, and so I'm switching to a strong, reliable engine, and trying to replace weak parts.
Thank you for your videos, info, and great tutorials!
I don’t know. Maybe others can chime in. With this kind of project though usually have to try a sample set up and then go from there.
@@RCReviewChannel RC Review i see. Thank you for your response, your channel is a favorite of mine, excellent delivery and great attitude.
While trying to figure it all out earlier, I wondered for a moment if it would come to trial and error.
But where to start...
Perhaps more torque (more turns), and go up with the pinion size to test to perfect.
Will putting grease in shocks help keep front wheels from rubbing against body
I completely blame you for my RC crawler addiction.
Good video. Gotta say by the time you buy everything you'd be better off getting a used ten scale.
Good video and thinks for no shout out considering I was the first to put and test green slime in my scx24 shocks. 😂
It does make a huge improvement.
I do however disagree with a couple things the mil-stones make a way bigger difference then just diff covers also Then tires you mentioned are tiny and the stock tires are not bad at all once they break in but there are several better tires on rc4wd’s site. You didn’t even mention the trans flip mod, lower battery mod or ecx barrage motor upgrades you can do. 😅
Right on. Props to you TJ the rc Guy. It is pretty hard to decipher though who exactly was first in starting a good trick, hack, upgrade ou there in the social media universe.
Appreciate the other mods you mentioned!!!
What motor upgrade would you recommend for the SCX24 jeep?
