The Xero Shoes Nexus Knit is designed to be a budget-friendly do-it-all-style knit barefoot shoe.
When I first saw this shoe, my mind immediately went to the Vivobarefoot Primus Lite Knit and I was excited to see how the Xero Shoes Nexus Knit compared as it has a cheaper price point.
After wearing the Nexus Knit for multiple weeks, I've broke down some of the key details you should know before buying this shoe.

For the most part, I've enjoyed the Xero Shoes Nexus Knit and they've been a solid shoe for daily wear and some casual lifting.
I also like how comfortable this shoe is for daily wear and hotter climates. Additionally, I see them as a viable option for beginners.
That said, this shoe's sizing could be a little better, in my opinion, and this shoe won't be the best for serious workouts so keep that in mind.

Thank you for the review! It really helps with making my choice with shoes.
Happy it helped!
Cheers for the well rounded review highlighting pro and cons. Subscribed and will check out your other xero reviews as i need help deciding which to go for
Aye, welcome and thank you! HMU if you need any help on the search
I love how you keep it real and just aren't on the "these are 100% for you" swing if things. Keep it up!
Appreciate that. Reviewers that say that sh*t are getting paid (most under the table) or lack the context to appreciate when a product works for certain contexts/doesn't for others. Have to try a ton & have that background to realize that, though!
digging the different scnearios when filming. crushing it brother.
Thanks, dude! One of the shoes reviewed while on the road
brilliant review Jake. good stuff
Appreciate you!
Great review - thank you
Thank you for checking it out!
Dope review!
Thank you, friend
great review, I always watch one of your videos before buying a shoe. could you review Nike air max alpha trainer 5? Thanks
Thank you! Yeah, I can add them to the list
Great video jake xero are a fantastic company
Thank you!
I have skinnier and flatter arches and this shoe felt far from snug. I had to tighten the laces quite a bit which caused the “tongue” to scrunch up since it is not separated from the rest of the shoe. Overall good tho
I have an EE foot and bought these at the same time with the HFS 2's the nexus knit was significantly more snug I had to give them to a friend cause even after just a couple wears I was already getting some real discomfort at the widest part of my foot. as for the HFS 2's I couldn't recommend them more from my month+ with them personally. Overall review seems to hit the nail on the head!
Sick! I have a pair coming soon and I’m stoked I’m not off my rocker with my width assessment of these. Appreciate you checking out the review!
i have a wide foot. thanks for the heads up
How do these compare to the tolos? I think these sock type shoe might lack the stability of the huracha straps of the other xero shoes.
They're more lax with the upper and have a less "sporty" fit, imo. Overall, they're comfy though and if you're not going crazy hard with cross-training in them you should be plenty fine, imo
Out of curiosity, is there q shoe youd reccomend instead for extremely wide feet? I wear xero 360 now but my feet spill out the sides big time (same with most other shoes).
Check out Splay (daily driver) and the new Inov-8 Bare-XF (for training/daily)! They might be good options to explore next
I use the prio and it feels a bit too stiff and not as lightweight as I would have wanted. I love my z trails and I’m looking for almost the same minimalism in other shoe model. I am powerlifting.
Will the HFS be better?
Could be. I'd look into the Notorious Lift Radix and ditch the insole. Can't get much more minimalist than those!
These vs vivo barefoot Primus lite knit? Which do you prefer
Primus because they look sleeker, but it's tough to beat this shoe's price if that's a big factor for you. Both are solid shoes, imo
does this XERO shoes size fit the same SAME as ur VIVObarefoot?
No, it will feel shorter. I'd go up a half-size in this shoe based on your TTS. If you wear 9, go 9.5 in this
Hello.
Your video is a good video
I'm very interested in zero shoes
My foot size is 7.5
Nike shoes 8.0 are worn
Zero shoes should be 7.5 right ?
Depends on the model, tbh! Which are you looking into?
In the Nexus Knit, you'd prob be safe going 7.5! Thank you!
@@thatfitfriend thank you☺️
@@user-ne5wu1ik1e welcome!
Which Xero Shoe is best for Bodybuilding and Straight-Line Sprints?? And any comparable alternatives??
I’d go Zelen or 360
Alternatives: Notorious lift radix / tolos arch 2 / 1hund aerolux
@@thatfitfriend Hey those Aerolux shoes look fire, thanks!!
is there a cheaper knit bearfoot?
Look into the WHITIN models!
Impossible to find fashionable sneakers for extra wide feet - was hoping these would be it
Look into the Icarus Ascent Gen 2! Have a vid on em
I found them quite snug, proBably bcs of knit material, also agree they are short.....ps. how you manage to make them so dirty?))
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought they felt a bit snug as well. Haha, that was a blend of wearing for a few weeks on the Oregon coast and in NYC!
Do they wash well? Or I should say do you wash it in machine then just air dry?
I've been wearing xero shoes for about a year, I never want to wear a "normal" pair of shoes ever again!
Love that they’ve been working for ya!
I always go up half size on xero but thats just me
Safe call for sure
Cheers jake I highly recommend the mesa trail 2 that's a brilliant shoe bud
In fact they have brought a wp version one it's a liitle stiffer but to be fair it's a waterproof membraine
@@jamesblaser5329 they’re on my to buy list! Stoked to hear they’re solid
@thatfitfriend thanks jake I would probably wear socks for the first few weeks on the wp ones to break them in a liilte bit there my winter ones cos I find boots a liilte heavy
Forza runner review??
Don’t have one in the works yet!
