Wow! I love your channel dude cant wait to see it blow up!!! Plus you have 2 of the cars I really really want lmao! I have the is200t down just need an s2k now. Looking forward to the exact same installs in this video in the near future as well! Also love what you've done to both of cars! And also why am I just now finding this channel?! Looking forward to more of your videos keep up it!
I have an 11 GS 350 AWD and a 95 Ford T-bird. The GS has coilovers in the rear. But I see they changed the GS. I had to stop the video. It LOOKS IDENTICAL to my Tbird. The springs are separate like that. On the Tbird site we would cut the springs to lower it . Very similar upper parts. That setup does improve handling and I think it gives a bit more room for the trunk. Front looks the same too. same upper wishbone and control arm w/awd strut cutout . Same bolt to suffer with. I just installed GS front struts the other day. Guess thats why the video came up. Real pita to get bolts out.
hey is there anyway you can send me a link or name of the spacers you put on it. i just got some super down springs as well and i hate that “sunk” look haha
Alex Melnik appreciate the fast reply. I’m thinking of going no spacers. A bit new to this so if u recommend anything I appreciate it. Thinking of going with the super down. Friend recommended spacers aren’t necessary with stock wheels.
Do you hit your front bumper often now that it's lower? mine is stock with a front lip, and once in awhile I still hit the ground even when I try to avoid it. I'm wondering if I'll hit it a lot more with coilovers
Alex Melnik hey with the spacers did you literally just put them on or did you have to do any modifications with the studs? Please please please lmk. My local shop is telling me otherwise.
shortymono depends on what kind of spacer you get. You can get slip on spacers, or spacers that come with the studs ( the ones I got ) and those just go right on without modification. Links in the description 👍🏻
Alex Melnik I literally showed them the clip of your video and they said “he probably had to shave the studs down.” I plan on buying the ones in the link you put up. Do you think if I got them in 20mm and 15mm I can run those without any modifications? You’re helping me out tremendously by the way.
Hey how was the ride with the springs im thinking of getting the rsr superdown springs and what would happen if you didn’t get the spacers would it scrape
Adam Hawash hey man! the ride is okay. Coilovers would obviously be much better but for the cost of these it's alright. You don't need to get spacers, it won't rub. I only got them to make it sit more flush 👍🏻
@@AlexMelnik Thanks. Do you say you would've waited longer to go with coils because of the ability to customize the suspension or is it more because you just hate lowering springs? Are your stock struts holding up fine? Thinking of going RSR downs with mine
Honestly...just a more beefy tire would have filled that wheel well up beautiful.. plus u said running is not an issue.. wrong this is ur wife car so safely is a must.. plus u could get a tire that’s more gummy and would have not needed spacers
Take the ricer wheel spacers off and your ride quality will improve ten fold. The spacers affect your spring rebound and strut dampening. Trust me, I've been down ths road before.
I love it this is exactly the same set up I have on my car. The only difference is I tinted the tailights and blacked out the chrome grill. DAMN.
Jayy thanks man!

Andy Yin just saw this. Thank you!

whats the wheel set up?
What camera do you use?
I used a canon t6i. Recently switched to the Sony a7iii
It looks amazing!

Glenn VanMeeteren links are in the description 👍🏻
Do the super downs rub? If yes, would it affect the lifespan of the tires?
fijian650 with the spacers, the rear rubs a bit but it doesn't affect the lifespan. Overtime the rubbing decreases.
Alex Melnik appreciate the fast reply. I’m thinking of going no spacers. A bit new to this so if u recommend anything I appreciate it. Thinking of going with the super down. Friend recommended spacers aren’t necessary with stock wheels.
fijian650 what he said ^ sorry I didn't see your reply. Spacers are optional for sure.
Did u have to re-torque your wheel spacers?
Do you hit your front bumper often now that it's lower? mine is stock with a front lip, and once in awhile I still hit the ground even when I try to avoid it. I'm wondering if I'll hit it a lot more with coilovers
Looks really good. Like you said it could be a tad lower in the front but a nice improvement...
William Bratton thanks! Maybe it'll get Coilovers some day and sit a bit lower 🤔
@@AlexMelnik
I would like coilovers at some point myself. Springs will have to do for now
@@AlexMelnikdid the front ever lower naturally ? I seen a comment in another video saying after around 1,500 miles they should lower a tad bit more.
Did you use back the OEM lugs to tighten the wheels with the spacers?
thebestiam11 yessir! OEM lugs
Alex Melnik thank you! Are you still using the springs with the spacers? If so how are they holding up?

Did you have to fender roll ?
Beardedboysam nope.
how far off the ground is your front bumper?
About 4-5 inches
This is dope. I have a q50 and I’m looking to lower it with RsR super-downs. How is the quality? And how does it ride now?
Honestly it's just like any other car on lowering springs. The struts don't like it so it's not the greatest ride. But it does the job lol.
Never lower your car with springs. Pay a little more and lower it on coilovers. It's a very stiff ride with springs. Did it once but never again.
How was it when driving on the springs ?
Hey how was the ride with the springs im thinking of getting the rsr superdown springs and what would happen if you didn’t get the spacers would it scrape

Alex Melnik thanks for the reply bro im still thinking i dont wanna mess up the oem setup
Is your car awd ? And if so did u get a awd message pop up
Troy Hay it is AWD. Never had any messages pop up.
Hey another question do u think there is a-lot of negative camber to the wheels the last thing i want is keep buying tire
Adam Hawash nope, should still get an alignment after you lower it though.
Alex Melnik oh yea forsure just wanted to make sure its not that bad thnx im getting it done tomorrow thnx
These are downs or super downs?
Super downs
Looks like downs... and not like super downs.
subbed. good content dude. keep it up.
Automotive Enthusiasts thank you! Subbed to you as well.
Do these really ruin the struts like some people say ?
alex gama yes
Thanks for quick response I was on the fence about purchasing
alex gama save a bit more and go with Coilovers 👍🏻
Alex Melnik will do I just can’t stand this stock ride height 😅
Can you link me to the lip?
tommy phetmany link in the description 👍🏻
Or just go to the hardware store and buy some double sticky tape and a garage door seal. Same exact same and can be done cheaper.
Hows the car the holding up with the spring and spancer ? Trying to get superdown awd but I'm worry about if it too low to drive as a daily
Then get the RSR downs
For the sway bar link did you disconnect from bottom or top?
Leo R bottom!
Where did you buy the spacers?
Alex Ily links are in the description 👍🏻
How's the ride comfort with those? Is it bouncy?
Ride comfort is pretty bad lol. I’d definitely recommend coilovers instead of springs!
@@AlexMelnik Good to know, i was going to buy it. lol.. Other people tend to say its ride like OEM.. In my mind, that cant be true. lol
damn that came out good
yo what state do you live in?
WA
How big are the spacers?
Noxel C-jey 20mm and 25mm. Links in the description 👍🏻
How are these springs holding up after a year?
They are still fine and will probably be fine for a while. If I had to do it again I would definitely wait a little longer and go with coilovers.
@@AlexMelnik Thanks. Do you say you would've waited longer to go with coils because of the ability to customize the suspension or is it more because you just hate lowering springs? Are your stock struts holding up fine? Thinking of going RSR downs with mine
Stock struts definitely do not like lowering springs. That’s why I’m saying I’d do coilovers
Damn that’s dope!
Dope man... could u send me a link of the springs...
You can go to rs-r.com and filter out your car, but you can find them cheaper elsewhere
looks good

Josh Grevous fitment though 😕
