I patiently and adoringly watched the whole video (fan of Euuuurope Advanced Prrrogessivvve Caaaapitals) before I heard Pete repeat my default Risk name a couple of times, and then it finally dawned on me: that's me playing White with Pete on the channel! Sorry for being so slow, playing on mobile does that. Happy to now have proof that I once beat the one and only Pete!
The main reason I'm not GM is because I love these settings but refuse to play 3 hour games anymore. Pete tried to bow out after killing black 40 min in, but blue wouldn't let him. 90 minutes is about as long as I go.
Really love the gratitude portion near the end of the video. I first discovered your channel almost two years ago and can’t believe it’s been that long since, always look forward to another upload from this channel and TKPS. Thanks Pete for not only putting in the time to play and have meaningful discussions, but to always do it with the same passion day after day for 4 years now. Never lose that fire!
"Blue could kill me here. It would be merciful if he did!" "I should have killed black earlier, but then I'd be dead? It would be better to be dead than to be playing this! I always appreciate how positive you are, Pete! 😂
@@FreePeteLong form content like this is definitely hard on analytics lol Personally, I watch some of it sped up and scan through other parts, but hearing your thought processes and tangents sprinkled throughout the video is the main reason I stick to it
I love these long games bc i relate to the frustration. Its interesting to see opponents, like yours, not be able to read the position and see ahead, that just waiting around delays making the decision that's right there in front of them which is to just kill you or work with you in the 3 player scenario. Take a card pass in the 3 player is the ultimate sign of "idk wtf im doing". Indecisive players are usually looking for a gifted win, cant advance the game state by their own will, and need to be eliminated, even if it means taking 2nd. Don't gift players with zero diplomacy and desire to advance the game the win. Essentially the aussie turtle archetype. Remove those players in the 3 player.
0:00 this modulator voice gets me every time 😂 reminds me of a board game called Omega Virus where a similarly tinny voice would call out during play. Its very funny idky.
1:28:20 it would be amazing if they made it so there was a voice option you could choose to toggle on or off. I can imagine it now, the risk cod lobby's would be so sick 🤣🤣
I started this video on the 15th and it’s the 16th now; I just got to the part where he calls himself the villain of the game 😂 Especially funny since I just watched the twitch plays game where he capped in Rhine and called himself the hero of the story
Pure and simple, Pete was tired of the stalemate. He had the choice of a ridiculous amount of take a card and pass play to try and fill with something worth calling content and hoping White messed up, even longer time to get to a point that killing blue for one of them didn't give the one that did second followed by waiting for a clearly good and patient player to break first, hoping for White to lose connection and end the stalemate with bot on bot violence, or suiciding and taking second. He took second and got it over with. As he explained in the video, it got to a point his time was worth more than that game.
"justice for black" ?? no, if he want you to attack someone else, he just have to open your can. Deosn't open your can give you no choose to go into him if you want to go in someone. He juste have to give you this possibility.
One of the few Pete videos I don't like. For someone who hates bad neighbors, neighbor capping in the same bonus is the worst. I understand you don't have the time or patience for the hourlong Metasettings grind vs Expert-GM opponents even though they are slow and bad but trying to sue out on the guy you screwed over with the cap placement is something I hate seeing. You got extremely lucky with the dice while killing black and should have been killed next turn. The fact they let you survive and then actually put you in a great spot should have been a reason to play to win. Killing the bot and taking second just made a dull 2h22min video. I don't care if it takes 5h, make it a 3 part series called "And this is why I hate the meta settings" where you 1v1 white manipulating a big bot. I know this is Free Pete but hey, I love pretty much every video you put out there so I hope my comment doesn't come off as too negative :)
@FreePete what would you have done in blacks shoes? Roll the cap turn 1 or play smart and try to ruin the neighbor cappers game before you go out? I feel like rolling the cap would have been stupid because you go next and have a 3 stack next to it..
I really don't know black didn't take a bonus, or actually takes Pete's cap about the time he had 35 on his cap and cards, Pete was so focused in taking North Africa caps he left his main weak for many turns.

Always love seeing when the players find themselves on the channel!
Well played man! It's super rare to have two players actually work together to give the bot lower. Kudos for that and ggs

I am gm by cheesing 😂😂 yust cap stack wait players to kill eachother
The apology to the player who got screwed before turn one by you... Priceless

"This ends the game" says Pete, 1 hour 22 minutes into a 2 hour 22 minute game 😂
1 hour and 51 mins in - Pete no one wants to watch a 2 hour stale mate… here I am watching 😂
I think you guys do have an apetite for them but it's definitely lower than other types of shows.

Why do you feel the need to win every game? Because YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME👍
Love you Pete
THAT robot intro, hahaha - We love you Pete!

Hahaha I bet they would have a 'tough' time moderating that lol
Hahaha love the sound effects love the content !!!
Pete : I will make my normal intro, and not doing dumb sh*t turn one and i'll be fine
Pete inner voice : Yeah about that ...
35:40 no u will sit there for 2 hours 😂
Very interesting to me! Thanks for the upload!
Glad you enjoyed it
Dude I used to play magic the gathering a lot back with my army buddies would love to see some videos on that
I'm putting out one on mondays for now and we'll see if people like it
Robot Pete is quite Scary (the intro)
Poor black. Didn’t do anything wrong
1:37:07 you missed your chance to make that cap 1,111 😭
Crazy to think I started watching in 2021 been a great ride

I fell asleep to this game woke up and yall are still playing 😂
Have you considered negotiation game with fog on such that people who dont negotiate are at an inherent disadvantage?
I'm down. That will be fun to try. My guess is it plays normally but when people bot out will matter slightly more.
I am on board with the wacky intros
Imagine this is your first Pete video hahaahahaha
Yeah you'd probably go watch something else!
Blue’s middle name is “muhBONUS!”
Gg to Oscar, who is in my risk friends, so he probably kicked my ass at some point. 😄
At 29 mins, Pete calls it....this game goes forever 😮 @29:18
haha so often it does
32:32 and about 2 hours infront of u 😂
you had the 4:30hr grind win here but at what cost
OMG! I thought you were "Botting" on your first turn with that intro 🤣 which would be an interesting idea for a game. playing like a GM bot
That was quite a long video!
Can someone explain to me, why Pete killed blue when he did? It does not seem to make sense to me.
Is this all one game?
What happened to Reginald? Is he okay?
He's a happy schmopus boy!
@@FreePete glad to hear that. Hope the fluff is doing well!

Bingo
I missed the wacky openings
Pete: I love the idea of a strong white. Kinda sus hahaha.
White strength! White... hmm whats another word for strength...
Fear or Love
Why didn’t blue take you out at the 38:15 mark. Missed opportunity for sure.
Nevermind. He didn’t see that you were weak- your ownership of the territory masked his view of you. I just learned something there!
“We are way passed kill guards, tho”…would love to hear about the appropriate line where this applies
past only because I was no longer playing to win, I was getting second either way there.
Spoiler Block ✋🤨🫵
