My brother and I had the Flagg, and we absolutely loved it! Even though it took up an entire room in our house. We had trouble from the get go with the thin long stickers staying in place. I recently cleaned out my mothers shed, and found a few remaining pieces. The arm of the crane, and one of the large guns sans the barrel.

I was looking at the admirals pistol in the review. Given what I know about military firearms my best guess is that it is probably more than likely a 1911. A colt 1911. They were carried as a side arm up until they were replaced by the Beretta 92 FS. I would say it’s a 99% chance that is exactly what it is.
The shooting took 7 or 8 days after I got the Flagg set up. For every camera angle I had to adjust the lighting, and I had very little space to work with. It took 3 days to edit. I would have had it done sooner, but we had a death in the family. I had to stop the project to attend a funeral.
Until Friday the Flagg was "never going to get one" and "I've only seen it in pictures ". On Friday the second part was knocked off. On Saturday it changed to "holy %^^}!!! I have a Flagg!!!" Missing a few pieces but it is now the crown jewel of my collection.

Thankfully it was such a waste to play with since it couldn't move, that I just took it apart 5 years after getting it and its basically been in it's box since. I think my mom and dad blew their vacation money on the damn thing. ...at least it's appreciated in value and didn't get tossed...and I think my dad was a secret Joe fan. :)
His correct rank would be Rear Admiral (Upper Half) and realistically a Rear Admiral (Lower Half) would bring charge of the Carrier Strike Group not just the carrier.
I'll go out on a limb and say they didn't use Keel Haul because of his name. I imagine they thought it was too contentious for the cartoon (even though they could get away with it on the toy or in the comic).
well, it s definitively a good example of a bad priority, I would have liked a complete hull instead of a clunky microphone.... and, I like your story at the end, good show!
