the detachable neck was made out of bakelite which was an early form of plastic. probably the frets were molded along with the neck. my guess is that they would not last very long before they wore out - hence the detachable (replaceable) neck.
The frets are the same color as the neck because they ARE a part of the neck ! I had the opportunity to play one of these unique instruments about 35 years ago !!!
@@jamesha175, an exact replacement bakelite neck certainly won't be available nowadays! Probably best to use flatwound strings on this one, or coated Elixir strings....

Putting a spin on “I play a little guitar”. Such a unique tone. Well done!
little guitars are really a common thing in spanish musical history ever since the renaissance
@@The_IRL_Bard Right! I believe archaeologists recently unearthed one of Keith Richards' first guitars from that time period.

Horseshoe pickups are way underrated
I wish there were like copies or reproductions available cus I dont wanna raffle my chances and I'd love to play one
Plenty of similar "peanut" style guitars you can find online. Not exact replicas but the same feel of a tiny, non-cutaway solidbody electric guitar
@@philipshoebuckle2498names of any you know? I’m looking for something similar but don’t know what to search to find them?
Amazing tone. What kind of amp were you plugged into?
Tres Dope 🫶

How are the frets black?
